  1. He doesn't really seem to have Tristan's best interest in mind, does he? But Faust is the least of Tristan's worries at the moment. With his family dead, his life is over as he knows it, and he's wondering what will become of him next. Thanks for the review.
  2. When I wrote this, a number of author friends of mine were complaining about the cliches, and this idea formed. It was actually supposed to stand alone, but my readers wanted more, and so I continued the story. You see yourself in Seth? Then perhaps we really are related! Seth is one of my characters whom I identify with the most, the only other contender in my online work being Nevala, from Ashes of Fate. I relate to him a lot too. Logan's usually the favorite though, so I'm glad you mention Seth specifically. I look forward to your thoughts on the rest of the series.
  3. Truth. I prefer my knife and cutting board. The person below me hates knives.
  4. Probably my third favorite cuisine. The person below me had Non-American food for lunch.
  5. It isn't, really. Personality is the 100% deciding factor every time. Everything else is irrelevant to attraction for me.. Now, as to sexual enjoyment, the musk can certainly increase arousal... Same Q
  6. Actually, today has felt like a throwback to summer which has totally ruined my mood. The person below me loves the story Riki Tiki Tavi I wear a great deal of jewelry on days I feel like dressing like myself. (I work in food service, so most days I can't wear a lot of my jewelry) I wear anywhere from 1-6 rings, a couple of necklaces, and a bracelet, not to mention the two jewel studs I used to have in my left ear. I find them all to be masculine, and there's a great deal of Yakuza enforcers who would like a word with you if you say their rings are feminine.
  7. What a splendid idea! And I've already been doing some of that. My current story involves the Yakuza, and I've found myself researching them at the most inopportune times, but my muse doesn't seem to care. I'll just have to do more of it. That's often how I spend my time when my muse wishes me to take a break. I was worried, however, that my muse was displeased with me "wasting time". I wasn't sure if it was appropriate or not.

    Chapter 12

I don't know when I'll get around to that, but I'll keep it in mind that there's interest. I still have the sequel to The Navigator to write, as well as a story which has been burning a hole in my brain for the past few weeks. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for the review.

    Chapter 12

I still like to think of Jason as the hidden protagonist, because of how much positive growth he reaches at the end. Thank you for the review, and I'd be happy to address and further questions about the Mormon world if you think of any.

    Teammates

    And thank you, too.

    The Bearded Bromance

Seth is really easy for me to write. He has so much of me in him, he's likely my teenage avatar among all of my works. Logan is a smart guy, but he is a bit slow on the uptake sometimes. Thank you for the review.
  12. Then it had its intended effect. The story was written as a parody of gay teenage fiction cliches. Thank you for the review. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  13. In writing, have you ever experienced a moment where you're so in tune with your story that every word comes out just the way you want it, and everything is perfect as can be? I'm having one of those moments, and it's awesome, except for one thing. My muse will only let me work in short spurts, because it overloads me. If you've ever experienced this, how have you overcome it, or should it even be overcome?
  14. Yay! I'm excited to find out what your thoughts were.
  15. They had been hunting him all night and well into the morning, and despite his fortitude he was starting to tire. Micah had kept himself flying until Indrus had taken to the skies as well and tackled him to the ground, forcing him to once again fight with his great uncle who had become possessed by the artifact. Micah had escaped that exchange, although just barely, and had managed to lose Indrus in one of the cave complexes. Only then had he been able to find a small patch of ground to set down
  16. Morgan Freeman? From Mythology I'd have to choose Hades. I already am pretty close. Same Q

Thank you for reading it, and letting me know how it affected you.

Thank you for coming along for the ride. They should make a tissues emoji so I can offer you one.

    Chapter 11 -

Thank you for the review, Drew. You know, in the original draft of the story, Chris wasn't so noble. He was actually the one I intended to turn in the letter, being unable to cope with keeping the secret any longer. He was supposed to be the hidden antagonist, and Jason was supposed to be the one who protected them. Somewhere along the way I decided to go this route instead, and I'm glad I did.

    Episode 5 - Survival

Thank you for the review. I hope your heart is okay now. I want you to keep it for chapter 6. Cool things happen in that chapter.

    Episode 6 - Home

I've often thought of ghosts sticking to a type of haunting. Some are tied to physical things, such as objects/locations. Others are tied to people, and then there is a third type which is tied to specific conditions (Like Bloody Mary in the mirror). Jacob is in the first group, and so he can only be tied to physical objects/locations, the non-living kind. He has a strong emotional connection to Kurt, sure, but the place where a lot of that connection had been developed in recent years was at the compound. "Familiar" in my universe refers to awakened animals, who become servants to their sorcerous masters in exchange for a bit of heightened sentience. Tavi serves Nevala and is rewarded with the ability to speak and perform tasks no other mongoose should be able to perform. Thank you for the review. Sorry it took me a little while to get to it.

    Chapter 1

Have you read "Summer Smiles" yet? It was my favorite story before this one, and I like to think it feels just as nice. Also, "The Power of Truth" is another one which came out very well.
  23. No, you should be all right. His story Dreamcatcher should be read after Teammates and before Underdogs, however.
  24. Thank you, Drew. You're my favorite spawnling, I'll have you know. If you'd like any recommendations let me know.

    Chapter 12

It was good to be back in the mountains again, especially considering how busy he’d been with work and school over the summer. Chris Knight looked around him at the scenery and breathed the cool mountain air in deep. The fall colors were in full array, creating an enchanting landscape he was eager to explore. Beside him lay the lake he had come to regard as his second home. He could always come up here for reflection when he needed it most. Coming home early from his mission had been rough a
