In a way Tim has dealt with a victim, AM and now he has to deal with Tom, another victim. To include all of the comments, would require several pages. I tried to show the three type of comments normally one would experience in reading a comment section of this paper, condolences from friends, and example of an individual hurt and one that uses this method to deal with their frustrations and hurt.

The cover up by staff. When I was in high school, the football team could do no wrong. A teacher could see them cheating, but football was an income generator. They were the privilege, and if a teacher did lower the proverbial boom on them, she was ostracized in some fashion. I knew there were girls who dated the football team and from the stories I heard they were supporting the team, on dates. You could tell the popular girls and looks wasn't the criteria. I knew many pretty girls who did not date these sport heroes and they were not voted to class offices or prom queens. I suspect this school was no different

I believe that someone on staff knew what was going on and ignored it. For what reason, I don't know unless that basketball trophy meant so much they were willing to ignore it.

Nor did they have a friend like Mary Jo who put Bruce in his place. of course that led Bruce to the rape of Ann Marie thinking it was May Jo. I think the girls were ashamed and that is why they didn't band together

You are correct but in every town there is a lot of dirt swept under the rug with the intention that that rug is never removed.

I'm sure Mom has felt the burn as they say but I would bet she sighed a breath of relief. I don't think she was in favor of Tim issuing that law suit. I'm sure she felt some relief when she heard Bruce was dead.

When Tim was reading the comments he noted several stating their condolences to his family, as one would expect from friends and relatives. Tim was interested in the mood of the people, so he concentrated on the negative comments

I think that is what Tim has in mind.

Timothy still has financial control over AM's money. That may change but it hasn't yet. Originally, Tim was going to place AM there after her hospital stay, that has changed and I would expect Tim to turn the income from that place or the money from the sale of the place to her.

The boys believed they have resolved AM's problem and now they must turn to Tom's healing

I would expect both. If they were seriously hurt by Bruce you might expect something like hey hey the wicked man is dead

You are right, the comments will be all over depending on who they are, friends of family versus those who knew what he did.
