I hope you won't be disappointed but ... No, Alexander, I will not tell what was written on the scroll by your priest. That ritual will be as you have requested, private.

Probably nothing since this is a fictitious story. But if they do find his tomb, I doubt they will find any scrolls. There has been a lot written about Alexander and his conquests

No, they have decided to leave Alexander to his rest. I have always wonder what do archeologists think they will find in a tomb, except remains of the one who lies there. I can understand them exploring old cities, but a tomb?

    Chapter 8

He was a young man and as most successful people he had his enemies. If they ever find his tomb, I'll be surprise at what they find.
  7. Several months later, we met with Mostafa in Cairo. He had opened the urns that we found in the temple. He also had deciphered the scroll we found next to the skeleton which I had placed in a coffin. Sitting in Mostafa’s office, “Howard, Mahmoud, in each urn was a scroll, three golden coins, and tissue that we have identified as the organs which were removed before the body was treated according to the procedures for mummification. I have a list of the names of the boys. Their duties were

    Chapter 8

It took us several minutes looking at the sight before us. Directly in the center was a raised platform and in the middle of the platform was a golden chair. Facing the door, on the right side of the chair, was the figure of Zeus, with an eagle on his right and a rod in his left hand. On the left side of the chair was the Egyptian representation of Amun. A figure of an Egyptian Ram was one of the representations of Amun. Between the front legs of the Ram was a figure of a man holding an ankh in

    Chapter 7

I ran to Mahmoud’s tent, “It’s Alexander in that temple.” Then I ran to Mostafa’s tent and told him the same thing. “Are you sure?” “Yes, Ptolemy supposedly stole the body of Alexander when they were moving him to Macedonia. We have never found his tomb in Greece because it is here in Egypt. When Alexander was in Egypt, the people regarded him as a god. That is why we are finding Zeus and Amun on the pediment.” “If you are right, then his name should be on the frieze.” We for

    Chapter 6

I thought I got up early, but when I approached the temple, Mahmoud was sitting on the wall drinking a cup of tea. “Did you bring a cup for me?” He must have been lost in thought. He jumped and spilled his tea. “You scared me.” “I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you were so deep in thought. I’ll go and refill your cup. Have you had anything to eat?” “Not yet. I was going to have breakfast after I finished my tea. I had to see the temple first. Sitting here, thinking
