    Chapter 19

One of the mysteries I have a hard time understanding, a lot of that misery is caused by religion. My knowledge of religions, is that promote harmony and peace in a loving and caring atmosphere. I read and see so many words of hate using their so called holy books as supportive evidence. The need for people to feel that must have a cause, even if that cause is harmful, I do not understand. Sorry about my pontification. You see to be a sensitive person, thanks for giving me a chance to vent a little.

    Chapter 19

Homophobic people never do see the errors off their way. The become miserable, lonely, missing what they had, but change-never they have the righteous behind them, hear it every Sunday in their bigot churches

    Chapter 19

There is enough food but there are still somethings you can't grow. Although I did hear that corn husks could be used for a personal need.

    Chapter 19

You are welcome. I always felt that working hard and being kind to your neighbor was the best way to live your life. You make a lot of friends that way.

    Chapter 19

That evening I balanced my books. My reserves were getting a little too low. Thinking about the possibility of selling one of the gold coins, I called the coin collector, who offered 2000 dollars for the coin. When he answered the phone, I told him who I was and remind him of the gold coin. I told him I was willing to sell it to him for 2000 dollars. The way he was talking, I think I made his day. We arranged to meet on Monday evening. Sunday, Mom and Dad came over. I told Dad about selling

    So true.

    Chapter 18

Yes they can't go home unless their dad changes his mind, which I think won't happen. It's hard to bear the animosity of parents when it turns against you. Tony and his family will adopt them, it's a second best situation. There is no way anyone can replace their parents 100 percent but Tony and his parents will try.

    Chapter 18

Yes the wine. I remember my grandfather's wine, as he got older the wine became worse. I think my uncle must have said something, his last two years he didn't make any.

    Chapter 18

Christmas dinner was at Mom and Dad’s. Between Christmas and New Years’, the family dropped in. Marlene still asked about Nonna’s jewelry. I saw Mom give her something, and later she said it was one of Nonna’s rings. The nice part of the holiday was sitting in the living room, a fire in the fireplace, and reminiscing with my Aunt and Uncles about when they lived here. Those that were here for the first time asked about my ring. I showed them the picture, nothing else was said. New Yea

    Chapter 17

Yes, one wonders where are that hatred comes from. Sometimes they are angry about something that has no relation to the brunt of that hatred. I always felt those people had a low opinion of themselves.

    Chapter 86

They say every author has one great story and I guess this was mine. The comments that I have received indicated that I have touched many people. It's a sad story, a story that I felt needed to be told. I have met these boys in the cities I have visited. I read about millions of dollars being spent by those who have the money to be able create a place like this, but I can only surmise, that there isn't enough pats on the back, or plaques with their name on for them to warrant an investment in the future of so many of these boys and girls. I wonder what genius or great artist, musician is on the street begging for death to end their life as they must live it. As you can tell, this story came from my heart. Thanks for your kind words.

    Chapter 36

I spent time in Brazil and I have friends from there. Unfortunately my time was mostly in Rio, that is where my friends are from. I have a list of my finished stories and I think there is a way to obtain that list. If you pick one I can tell you a little about it.

What stories have you read? Rome was the only one I wrote based on history. I have started another one but it is incomplete.

Yes that might be an option. I'm sure there would be plenty of people who would love a ride in that carriage. I would

    Chapter 17

I think there are a lot of people who have a close, loving family. Brad, Tom and Charlie have found a home where they can live in a loving relationship with those around them. You are a fortunate man, to find such a loving relationship. Say your prayers, tonight

    Chapter 17

I could never treat my son as Brad and Tom's dad did. Obviously there are bad fathers in our world. Fathers that should never be a father.

    Chapter 17

I can't either. It would be like throwing a part of myself away, if I did.

    Chapter 17

I think the boys have scholarships, they had set their goals concerning education early and worked for their scholarship. I'm sure if they got in a pinch someone would help them out. I'm sure they will share in any profit resulting from the farm.

    Chapter 17

I imagine they go to one of those churches that overly preach of the sins of the world. Farmers are usually very conservative people and very superstitious as well they pray for rain, and if it is a bad crop, they needed to repent.
