I wrote this story after 911. I was working in Holland when 911 happened. But I wrote the story as I wished it happened. Therefore I did not get involved in the 911 resulting restrictions and procedures that now exist . Brad chartered the plane and I'm not sure if one would have got got through all of the current boarding procedures for a private jet .l When I was privileged to use a private jet, there wasn't any restrictions once I proved who I was.

I am glad that my readers enter into dialogue with me. And I respect their comments and views. I am old fashion , and although I hold no sexist opinions, I do believe that generalization are based on statistics, i.e. more women know how to sew than men. My interaction with my readers are a great joy to this old man. I particularly enjoy when they get v=into the story.; Many offer very interesting views that will shape stories to come.

That is okay. Since that was touched on several times,. I was thinking of what would I do if I was Brad. Obvious the boys were not a problem with the kits. And I know that Brad would let any girl who wanted to build a kit, have one. But what'd you offer a girl if she doesn't want to build a kit, or a boy even. He has the painting, but what else? Cooking, they can help in the cook shack. What's left? Sewing, crochett, knitting all of these have a connotation of being girl things. Brad is trying to have something for everyone, maybe that is his problem. I have assurance from Tony,. all will work out in the end

Well said. I believe in todays world as compared to the 40's and 50's, gender has no meaning as far as skills and knowledge go. Thanks for this comment.

What you have written is so true. These children are no better than cattle. Foster homes take these children in for the money and at the age fo 18 they are turned loose. There are people who would adopt these kids if the law allowed. Gay men nd women, would love to step in and provide a home, but many states prohibit this. Attitudes are changing, but ever so slow.

Thanks Kev. I also learned how to knit and crochet, my mother taught me. I have long since forgotten most of it, but not all. Now I have some pants that need a major altering, case I send them to you?

Yes and it is nice to have someone bring you back on track. Try and keep in mind, Brad wants the kids to have a hobby, and he doesn't care what they choose.

Model building was always an option for the girls, but what if a girl didn't want to build models. he needed something for them. Fashion, design, all involve sewing. I painting was offered as well. Sewing isn't limited to girls. which you will see later in the unpublished chapters,.

I ordered another Sanctuary bus since the number of kids had grown. With Tony, Aaron, and utilizing Murray, I had enough drivers for four buses. The rest of the week was occupied with spending time with the kids, ordering shoes, shorts, t-shirts, hats, swim suits, and a nice change of clothes for the evening for our vacation. The next morning, I went to the hobby shop and picked up several different kinds of models. I also picked up some glue and paint. Then I went to a toy store and picked up a deluxe bingo game.
