New Year's, we celebrated at the Home. Roger called and I needed to make another trip to Paris, only this time I took Carl with me. Arnaud is very ill. The dangers of having old friends. I am not sure exactly what is wrong with Arnaud. i know he is old, I met him way before I met Colin. I'm now 50 sp Arnaud has to be in his 90's.

Thanks for the compliment. It is difficult to face death and the unknown. Armand had a history with this woman and I wrote the interaction in the hospital as if it was me knowing Armand's history with this woman. How would i feel and how would i react.

Thanks, death is hard to write about. but as we get older it becomes harder. Maybe it's because we think of our own death and wonder how are families and friends will react.

The boys were tired as we pulled into the dock, I made sure the captain and first mate had their share of the catch. The men helped to carry the coolers off of the boat. The shrimp and lobsters were put in my car along with two of the large cod. I headed to the club. The others headed to the Home. Charles made a pit stop at his place to drop off his cooler. If I were there I would be as well. Arnaud is an intelligent man but age takes its toll. Christian has lived in his father's footsteps. He knows the family. I think fishing will continue as long as the weather doesn't pose a threat. The question is, who will be next after the Italian guests leave

I know that was Carl's idea. Armand has recognized that his parents and Colin's mother are getting older. And now is the time for him to create family paintings.

There is always plenty of fish. The captain knows. I read an article that said the best fishing grounds were off the coast of Maine. I guess the captain read the same article.

yes, it appears we will have paella on Sunday. Arnaud is up in age probably either the same age as Gandmere or a few years older. His family, not Christian, but the extended family has been a problem for him,

He has carried on the family interests which is a tremendous weight. Besides being the oldest one in the family, he has had to resolve some family issues that have been a burden.

I am a rice devotee and the more styles of cooking rice the better I like it. The paella I had in Spain was at the top of the list for me. I had read that there is a paella festival where huge pots of paella are prepared. I forgot which city this ritual took place in. Tony, you may recall where this festival took place
