Over the front door, Armand had painted an Angel with open arms. This was way before he painted the one in Paris. As the new children moved into the Home they were impressed by the Angel, It wouldn't surprise me if people from Child Services didn't refer to the Angel's house to alleviate any fears the boys and girls might of had.

At breakfast, I told Colin and Marie that we will have five boys as guests for a few days. David wanted to know who they were, “Dad, do we know these boys?” “You might. But I want you all to welcome these boys.” Friday evening I brought the five boys home for the weekend. Saturday we will fish and Sunday we will have lunch at the club. They started with four, Tommy, Ronnie, Eitchie and Ivan. Then, they added 6, Mary Ann, Louise, Toby, John, Louis.,and Angelo(Gene). then along came David and Carl. Now they have added,Peter, Andrew, Robert, James, Frank, and Gerald least not forget Pepe.

I don't think GG will ever leave him. Do you think she is reliving her life through him? In today's time, 50 isn't old. People are living longer.

The older boys, i.e. Ronnie particularly most likely adopt children. Possibly Richie, not sure about Ivan. It will be interesting to see how the boys decide what they will do. Carl will continue to paint, and Tommy and Pepe are involved in the Home. Then we have another next round, all still in school.

I think you are right. Peter has attached himself to Armand. In my opinion, that is all it takes for Armand to think adoption.

It seems my subconscious wrote this chapter. I'll correct it Peter was an unwanted child placed in a government home pending adoption. He was brought to the Home. There, feeling alone on the fishing trip, with tears he approached Armand. The rest is history, as they say. Don't ask I never found out who they are or is.

Do you get the feeling that the end is approaching? There are a few more chapters before Colin and Armand are ready for the rocking chair.

You are right about the guys providing bedrock for their families. Fifty isn't that old. I don't feel old but the image I get back from the mirror says I am old. Someone said, "With age comes wisdom." Not sure that is true. i still do crazy things that I shouldn't at my age.

Time moves on. Richie and Anne Marie are expecting their first child. Richie said if it is a boy he will be named Paul. If it is a girl she will be named Marie. Ronnie said it was too early to start a family. When we reminded him of his football team, he said there are other ways to get a team. I always thought zoos were built for children and as I grew older I realized that the salvation of these species was a possible motive. The world will be a sadder place if the only live animals were in a zoo.

Yes, much progress for David. Poor Armand, he attracts monkeys at least once. i think he would do anything to give those kids a laugh.
