Charles showed up in the morning with his son, Charlie. I had told Marie we would have company for breakfast so she had the griddle hot and ready to go. As the boys came to breakfast, Marie made them pancakes with Peter’s pure maple syrup. She had sausage links for them to complement the pancakes. Some had milk and some had half & half milk and coffee. Peter came, took a small pancake wrapped a sausage in it, “Let’s go boys, can’t be late.” I knew the next time we have pancakes and

I agree. you can judge a home by the amount of laughter. Armand's dream scared him. GG plays dirty. I expect we will see several new paintings of the children

I was lucky, I was the only one who liked the dark meat. I didn't have to fight for the legs and thighs. The meat at the Home was csarved so there were no whole legs.

I agree about the picture. It was that way at my house. Yes, David's teeth will be dentures until he reaches maturity then they will be implants. The dream scared Arnaud. He will do anything for those kids, even allow them to feed him. I wonder what kind of mess they created

Sometimes a nightmare helps us to make the right decisions. It certainly did for Armand. His move to the studio at the Home is the right decision for him. Carl is overjoyed to have his dad's studio. In a way, this move is a confidence builder for Carl. He wants no more than to please Armand.

Holidays at the Home are always a joy. There is no way Colin and Armand would have it any other way. BTW, turkey leg is my favorite. Thanks, I am back home.

Thanksgiving at the Home was something else. Marcel had returned from France to help in the kitchen. The cooks had the day off once they served a light lunch. Marcel along with the club’s chefs had taken over the kitchen. If you didn’t know French, you had better stay away from the kitchen. When I walked into the kitchen to welcome Marcel it reminded me of visiting his cooking school in France. There was no question that this was like an old home to Marcel. I was jealous. i wanted to go but I couldn't, hard to move from reality to fiction. The boys deserve the trip. I could see and feel the excitement these boys felt as they pulled in their fish.

I can imagine the load that Armand is carrying. He is close to those children and they are close to him. Colin seems closer to the older boys. I am waiting for him to start teaching them golf. The boys that they adopted are playing golf so I think Colin will be giving golf lessons soon.

The dream that GG gave Armand was one to fortify his convictions. He needed a boost and wow did she give it to him. i imagine someone exposed to these children, would have doubts or maybe frustrations might be a better word. It would be hard to look at a child and try to imagine the frustration they go through, their pain and hurt. Armand feels every pain.

I am sure she had eaten meat but she probably never made the connection. See the fish, the connection was made. The cooks disguised the fish so she never realized she was eating that fish.

I think Armand needed reassurance that his devotion to the Home was justified. GG decides to give him an alternate view. There is no question he is devoted to the Home now.

Saturday morning there was a lot of excitement, Colin was taking the boys fishing. Rods were brought up from the basement and it was obvious we would be short. A stop at the store on the way to the boat would take care of that. A phone call to Tommy had the boys at the Home ready. I drove the girls and Angela over to the Home, picked up the bus and the boys who were going fishing. I noticed two boys didn’t have fishing rods. “You don’t want to go fishing?” I thought all of the boys had rods

Yes but in the end, he enjoyed it. I think Armand is the type of man who can moan about something and when it is obvious he can't avoid it, he makes the best of it.

I have that information but not with me. I expect to be back home in a week and if I don't forget, I'll look it up. I do know of the four boys adopted, Toby was the oldest.

You will have to go back and see when Toby was adopted. I don't have my papers with me to answer that question. I am away from my home and the information on the boys is there.

David was ignored. With the death of his mother, the authorities moved in. He was forgotten, my guess is he was scared and hid, Overlooked by those responsible. There are many children on the streets that have been overlooked, both in America and Europe. Go to any large city, you'll find them begging.

I would like to have GG in my life. She guides Armand very effectively. There are many times when one dreads doing something and when it is over, they realize it was fun. The children will wear those hats for a long time. Geno might be upset he didn't have one.

I think Carl has fallen in love. It was clever of him to add crushed glass to his paint for a sparkle effect. Long distant relationships are difficult but Carla has a very precious gift.

Colin and I had one other concern, David’s education. The boys showed him their books and what they had for homework. Toby even tried to teach him how to read. Although David had some schooling, his mother’s illness prevented him from attending school on a regular basis. Then when his mother died, he was on the streets. “How old do you think David is?” “I don’t know, but I know someone who will know.” That evening I asked GG. I have a problem with people like the man who ignored David at the airport. There are too many of these people in our world and the sad part, many of them sit in the pews of churches and synagogues. Ronnie knows what it is like, he came from the orphanage. His sensitivity to David is a result of his personal experiences and the guidance of Armand and Colin. I have used my stories to deal with my own thoughts. David will come out okay, he will be devoted to Armand and Colin as well as the other people close to them. Armand will give him a gift that will be beyond his belief.

I can see your point, but David was in such a poor state, he needed to have some nourishment. Medical first, this allowed him to build up some strength then dental.
