Others have compassion. It is difficult to contemplate what Ronnie saw at the airport. It is difficult to envision someone who could ignore the pleas of a young child. There are people who turn their back on these children. They can be found in every city, along every road.

I have noticed people who have experienced sadness followed by happiness are more sensitive to other people and their problems. Armand's boys have all been exposed to unhappy situations, they can relate at some level to David.

Medical first dental second. David was in such poor shape, very close to death. How long he had been on the street was anyone's guess. I think I would have done the same as Armand, get some food in him, medical first then dental. We can live without teeth, but if there is a medical problem then it is more serious.

David may not realize it but he couldn't have ended up in a better place. i wondered what made Ronnie hang around the airport rather than go home. i wouldn't be surprised if GG didn't have her hand in it.

YES, Armand and the boys will take care of David. I found in life that those who have suffered in some form have always been there for each other. Although Armand hasn't experienced the suffering n his own life, he has a good heart and is a very sensitive guy. The kind of man I would want as a friend.

I knew that doctors must see some terrible physical deformities and deal with severe medical conditions including death, but I had never seen a doctor with tears in his eye until Dr. Stevenson looked at David on his examination table. Carefully, he examined David. “The child is severely undernourished. I would estimate he had another two weeks to live if you hadn’t rescued him. I have never seen a child in this condition. His father died shortly after he was born, he had a work accident that provided an income for his family. His mother raised him until she died of a disease that went undiagnosed. David was left to fend for himself. If this happened in the city and if the orphanage was still operating in the city, child services would have placed him there. I think GG had her hand in this

You are correct. David will challenge Armand's commitment. I think he, with the support of Colin and the boys, will succeed. David has not grasped where he has landed, but he will.

How did you guys miss the chapter where Ronnie graduated with a Master's in math, played for two years proball, and now teaches math and has taken over for the high school coach who has retired.

Yes, Ronnie is finished with school and two years of pro ball. When his highschool coach retired, Ronny took over. And he has a girlfriend as well. I predict he will be the next to be married.

David is going to present a new objective for Armand. He is already wondering how many orphans are on the streets.

Thanks. I had always thought you went to a hospital to be cured not to catch a bug that requires an expensive antibiotic. I would have been home a long time ago if it wasn't for the hospital bug.

The Italian contingent was to arrive in three weeks. School had started and Mary Ann was a freshman this year. I took the boys, Louise and Mary Ann shopping for school clothes. Anne Marie joined us and of course, Roberto had to tag along. The boys took care of Roberto while Anne Marie took care of the girls. I knew they all would need jackets, I didn’t realize how much they had grown. The boys got caps and one for Roberto. He picked out a jacket to go with the hat. Our boys felt that was a good

Thanks. I won't be posting as often. I am still in the hospital and there are many interruptions. The story of Armand and Colin isn't over, They are still young men, and adventures await.
