Thanks. I understand your comment very well. It has been a long time since I was in school. i don't remember to much about world history but what I do remember was mostly associate with the Romans and the wars.

I placed this chapter in Greece because I had always wanted to visit and never did. i agree there are a lot of historical sites in the USA but nothing as old as Europe.

With all of the books and souvenirs in the crate, I was given a bill of fare that listed everything and a financial bill that included the packing and shipping charges. Yes, i knew a lot of people from Greece. They taught me how to make their coffee and a few deicacies.

I have come to the conclusion we Americans are woefully ignorant of the history of ancient counties and people. We laugh at them for having so many gods but we are ignorant on what their belief has brought to civilization. I was glad I included Greece in this book. Even I was surprised.

I think we underestimated early civilizations. When you look at the various inventions the Greeks had you must acknowledge they were smart and clever. Greek coffee is served in demi-tasse cups. They use finely ground coffee, the coffee is brought to a boil and served.

I must apologize. After rereading the chapter for the second time I found Gene. It was an error of mine. There is no Gene in this story. For some reason when I was writing this chapter, the name came to me. I apologize .chalk it up to an old man.

J reread the chapter and I didn't find the name Gene. The names of the new boys are Toby, Louis, Anthony and John. Carl is the child that has GG helping him. If you can tell me the line where 'Gene' appears, I'll check it.
