I got up, leaving Richie sleeping, showered and started the coffee. A little girl in a house of boys, you know how that would end. one of two ways, she'll be the boss or they will play games on her. Seriously, I'm not sure Armand and Colin would be comfortable with a girl. Both are the only children their parents had. So they grew up without siblings. Being gay they were never attracted to girls. Colin tolerated them at the club, ie Marylou. If he had sister, I guaranteed he wouldn't put up with her antics. The likely hood of the boy adopting a girl is remote. But then who knows the future

A lot of people have favorite charities, in the US there are hospitals that do research and treat children. A lot of people donate money to these causes. But I have never heard of people donating to an orphanage. They are generally supported by state or national funds. It needs to be done, the forgotten children.

I believe fishing is on the list of activities for the kids. I think Armand missed going. So, to date we have the zoo, ball games and fishing.

I actually did my homework on the rents. I also checked out Yale tuition and decided I couldn't afford to go there unless I borrowed money.

I don't think you have to teach them how to annoy future husbands, it's built in. Even Eve torture Adam until he ate the forbidden fruit. That orphanage will have two uncles soon.

The apartments were ready to rent. I did a survey of one bedroom apartments for rent in the city. Prices ranged from 1750 to 3120 for a one bedroom apartment. Most of the higher prices were in buildings that contained only apartments. I couldn’t find a similar situation to what I had. A check of Yale’s cost showed for a full year, housing at 9750 and meals 7450. So a student who would attend Yale for a full year would pay a total of 17,200 dollars. Time in a fictional story has no significance. In reality, I think the Bronx Zoo is about 2-21/2 hours from New Haven. Maybe next time a train ride to the zoo. I think the adults enjoy the zoo as well.

The Time frame is anywhere from 20 to 25 years ago. There was a circus who had elephants, I remember my grandchildren riding an elephant. You are right, zoo's today do not offer rides.

I would expect Armand is going to provide opportunities for those children. He may not adopt them but I expect they will adopt him.

I am glad that I was able to create memories for you. When I was in high school I had one year of Latin, the teacher retired. I then switched to French. I didn't really learn a language when I was transferred to Puerto Rico, there I learned Spanish. The commonality of languages based on Latin permitted me to have conversations in Italy. I spoke Spanish and they understood me. I also understood them. I wish I had finished my Latin. When you travel and meet people who are native to a foreign country, speak their language, it's the opening for long term relationships.
