    Chapter 23

Walking into the museum, we were given a brochure to guide us to the various exhibits. I saw a few students. I didn’t expect to see the crowd we had seen in Paris. We were standing in front of a painting by Goya titled Saturn Devouring his Son. “Armand, that is a horrible painting.” “It is unusual, and Goya was inspired by Rueben’s painting of the same theme.” “I’m not sure I would like that painting. It is grotesque.” “A Greek myth inspired this painting. Saturn was told tha

    Chapter 22

We were awake at 6 in the morning, and our taxi would be here at 8 to take us to the airport. Our flight was at 9, which would get us into Madrid a little after 11. By the time we got to our hotel, it would be close to noon. "Are we staying at someone's home in Madrid?" "No, I wasn't able to contact my host from the last time I was here. We will stay at a hotel, and we can get our laundry done there as well." Our hotel was the Westin Palace Hotel across from Plaza Mayor, which wa

I'm sure there are quite a few private collectors. Every once in a while you'll see a museum offering a collection by so and so with a thanks to someone.. You know that the paintings belong to a private collector. If he had told Mr. Arnaud that the painting was his grandmother's, he may have put himself in a position to identify Arrow.

    Chapter 21

Arriving at the center of Paris, we said goodbye to the Director, thanking him for the ride. Walking back to Madam Lavigne’s house, “What are we going to do tomorrow?” “We are going back to the Eiffel Tower for lunch and taking a dinner boat ride on the Seine. No more art museums and tomorrow will be our last day in Paris.” That evening I told Madam Lavigne that tomorrow would be our last day in Paris. I told her we would be taking the dinner cruise on the Seine, and we would like her
