    Call Me Mother

thecalimack commented on thecalimack's story chapter in Call Me Mother

I guess you can say I'm trying to resonate with a desire I have, haha. Glad it came off as tangible and believable!

    Call Me Mother

I couldnr come up withba drag name so that one had to do. 😂😂😂 He has a snark streak, as exemplified by the other short I made of him, haha I was actually trying to make my own anthology of cathartic stories and hoping a publisher picks it up. Not sure how a newbie can set foot into the industry but I always wanted to.

Tristan often liked to take walks on a late night in the city. He knew the safe routes almost as well as the local street rats, and he was unimposing and unremarkable enough to be easily ignored. He used to frequent the darker allies and the nastier sides of town before he moved in with Miguel, before his Incident a couple of months ago. But he'd been lonely for so long that he didn't think to reach out to his old friends. The Hovel was in a nameless building that could pass off as a residen

Oh hey! Thank you so much! These two started out as just a way for me to vent. Haha.

"This is a terrible idea." "We're just meeting with my old bunkmates." "Correction: you are. I'll be at the 7-11 eating ice cream and fried chicken until you're done." Miguel cast an exasperated look at Tristan. After 'The Incident', Tristan decidedly quit whatever job he had to focus on writing and was bunking and vlogging it up at Miguel's apartment. They shared rent, dinner, and responsibilities. But now, some of Miguel's friends were dropping by for a visi

The room was what you'd expect from a teenage football star at their high school: vibrant, walls painted in blue with awards and medals on shelves, pictures of trophies being held up, teammates gathered for the picture, of the current girlfriend stealing a kiss with the star. The desk was messy with stationary and other paraphernalia, and the room was slightly cluttered. But the life in the room was sucked away by the young man in a black suit, looking over the contents of the discarded brown en

It was a few days before Sebastian found Ellis again. Or rather, stumbled upon him. It was a full moon that night, and the garden was bathed in the gentle blue glow of moonlight. He was about to call for him when he heard the soft eulogy sung to the wind. If he were any farther, he would have missed it, but there in the midst of the hedges and the gardens, he heard a voice kept precariously low, singing without words a song racked with something that strung a chord with the very soul. It was her

I'm having trouble finding the delete option for my stories. Where may one find it?

Thanks for your input. I was worried if things were too off or vague. And I'm glad to draw a reaction out of you. I wasn't sure if people would be invested. Any crticism to improve this though?

I'm sorry that most my stories are tear-jerkers; kind of my modus operandi. And Miguel was a soldier, ideally, but I could approach it from the musician perspective. These two are those long-time friends, actually. And thank you for your kind words! I'm glad to draw a reaction out of you.

I am so glad the short worked so well! Sadly not much progress on Whats Real to Me. College has kept me busy. Even hunting internships now. I'll send you an update soon. Promise!

Thanks to you, too! I hope to share stories like these to a lot of people, actually. Just... they're a bit of a festering bunch inside of me, haha.

Miguel comes to visit his friend Tristan, but notices something is amiss when the man opens his door to him. Intuition has never failed him before, but it never prepared him for what he'd see.

Miguel was quick to catch the present that nearly slipped from his fingers, careful not to tip over the contents of the paper bag he carried in his arms. He had always been agile, actions quick, sure, and precise. He still wondered how he was going to knock on Tristan's door with an armful of stuff. He figured he should probably put them down first, but in all honesty, he was too lazy to bend down and just let them go just to pick them up again. He figured his shoes were clean enough, so he deci
