I did not think it would warrant a violence warning but then I guess it should have, given the imagery. Sorry about that. I didnt want to spoil too much of the plot. Haha Also, it is a year from now. I am afraid. And I may chicken out. I feel bad about that but I might.

Dare to hope!

So I just did my research on "Person of Interest". Now I should probably binge the series.

I'm happy you put up with the jargon then. Guess this story wasnt meant for a lot of people. I think a more user-friendly approach would make it more tolerable. I have an idea for that now, actually.
-
I am so glad you stayed interested then, all things considered. I had to consider the limitations of what I could do with the software of the site and then I remembered "FONT! GIVE IT A FEEL OF A COMPUTER TERMINAL!" So yeah, old style text adventure games. I might make a videogame out of this, actually. I found a coupke of programs that could help tell the story, but it would take some time to implement.

I liked the power implied in the command line because I broke my OS one time because I messed up with the directory and deleting some essential files. And text-based programs can be a hassle to read, admittedly. I remember being like that at first. Thus I tried simplifying this. Hell, anyone who knew Linux could tell the command prompts weren't so faithful. :))

I personally believe that is too often an issue in any relationship: accepting when someone is different from your perceived notions. When you leave little room for openness, it makes this huge gap of trust. Crossing it then becomes a leap of faith.

Hi, this is TheCaliMack. Not Noel, legitimately TheCaliMack. Noel isn't even my real name. I would just like to personally thank you for reading this work and discuss some of the thoughts that went into writing this fic. I was inspired from text-based horror adventure games that helped create a heavy atmosphere, games like 'The House Abandon' (Stories Untold), 'I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream', and 'BURIED'. These games made a horrifying atmosphere with little graphics and much more

XX-XX-XXXX A Tell-Tale Heart by Francine Bayani A terrifying tale in our own little town, the body of the young teen Noel Ellis Rosche was found under the floorboards of his own home, dismembered and tightly sealed, possibly for six months. Chief Investigator Howard Thomas called the crime 'a travesty against humanity'. He remarked that the scene was 'a terrifying horror flick brought to life before his eyes'. ...The father and mother plead innocent, but the Jury found them gui

This chapter, as the author, left me as tense as well. I was hoping to capture that feeling of paranoia and dread in the writing. I certainly felt a little jumpy after writing this. ;))

[root@localhost] read 'N-009 - Liam.transc' *** Audio... running. Coast is... clear. Audio log, zero-zero-nine. Three months. I'd been so caught up on this project of mine, and now it's been three months since Liam went to boot camp. I honestly don't know how but his father thought it was best to give me an extra number he got. I knew I had a way to use it; I think he did, too. Liam must have told him. It just felt too short. Now thing

I am literally giving myself suspense over this fic. I think my masochistic tendencies are showing. At any rate, we're approaching the end game. Glad to know I've got you tense.
-
I think I do, too XD

Hi there, Robert! Good to meet you and welcome! The shining genre of this website is definitely the werewolf romance. If you arent a fan, you will be soon. What are the published works you have? I'm curious. Not bi-curious, just generally curious.

I am enjoying Cam's personality. The maturity of a late teen with the angst of an early one, if I'm not mistaken. His thoughts are fun to read, kind of a reflection of my own. Except I'm not as eloquent.

[root@localhost] read 'N-005 - Safe.transc' *** Alright, guys. Just a few minutes, ease up! Haha. It's just an audio log. This thing doesn't even have a webcam! You can't photobomb something with no lens! Liam, get your friends off of me, I swear to god! Ah, shit. It recorded that. Ah, well. Audio log... I think it's five. I'm sure it's five. Yes, five. College campus is my only safe haven in this town, and it's only bec

Kindred programmer spirit, welcome! Originally, it was supposed to be one chapter but the comments say reading it wasnt satisfying, so I had to expand the universe more to give an idea of the story. People wanted more narrative so I have to play that with the puzzle aspect.
-
Name reveal in the next chapter but it's Noel Ellis Rosche, and this is a different Noel from the "What's Real to Me" story. XD I have no originality.
-
Glad that worked out, then. XD I seriously need to learn to establish this better. Might have to make the finished product a single overall log of sorts.

Okay, I'm trying to work on a suspense kind of horror but I don't want it to involve blood but more of the unsettling vibe of something wrong with a place. I'm limited to side-scrolling pixel-based art but most of it, I'll be making on my own. It's that or I write a text-based horror game that will be very vivid and will only provide backdrops of the area. A few games come to mind, but what would you guys suggest?

I was hoping to keep it vague but leave enough clues to force the reader to thinking this as some sort of puzzle, haha. It is (or aims to be) one of those mystery stories that would try to force the reader to look in and between the lines for clues to the meaning; seemingly pointless but actually unsettling.
-
I was thinking that would be the end of it, but I guess I could build it up with some more log pieces. I wanted to challenge readers and make them contemplate over the entire text and how each intricacy played into something. Case in point: CAPITALization. Haha
-
So you think it may be too short to make a concrete perception of? I figured I left enough clues but I guess not, haha. Might have to make this work a multi-chapter piece.
