i have been good and made a ham, cheese, pasta, roast cauliflower, pea and mushroom casserole for dinner i also made a batch of stuffed peppers with some brown rice and left over pasta sauce and mozzarella for another meal i am now gonna have a nice warm shower....

i was an addict ... it eased life for a time. i am patient but only for so long. Alcoholics are boring and pathetic, i have no patience for them and their problems. i don't know if i'd have been different. my withdrawal happened while i was unconscious in a hospital. i drink now sometimes, but it is very controlled and not often. i've been whiny and i cannot stand myself i wonder if Nat is pissed at Jake helping himself, or if she just runs out of patience and needs to be away from him.

Eddie sees beyond the drunk, like my Husband sees beyond my depression. He can see me. Eddie sees his friend? ex-lover? The drunk only sees his next drink, he's lucky if others see him.

i will be happy to share my mad thoughts with you and whoever else is crazy enough to want to read them. Pulling my words from their blue whirlpool is rather like this...

So, this week as you may know i had a pretty bad mental health crisis. After a brief overnight in the hospital, i've had to come to the realization that i will not get better, there is no cure but there is therapy and drugs to help me cope. i have had to give up my dream of being drug free. i have had to accept this is my normal. So as is usual for me, poems began to form ... to help me cope with what is going on my world. Allowing myself to give up my dream of 'normal' has freed me in

So, this morning i'm going back to my shrink. It is absolutely pouring here, it's very loud and very wet out there. The mountains of snow are melting slowly. The weather is rather like me ... totally effed up .... Doc being the man he is, is coming in early to see me. He said he hopes i don't need to be there weekly but maybe just a for couple of weeks, while settle back into my meds again. There is a poem in my head. It's funny, poems i imagine are lines and words swirling in, like a blue whirlpool. They turn in there, growing and melding together until just the right time when i pick them out, dripping and wet and lay them down. they take some time to dry so for awhile i can move them around or trim them to better fit ... but there is something in there...
