Thank you, Chris. He's earning his paycheck finally.

Thank you, Albert. I've been near Port Hueneme twice. Beautiful area, but it was cold and windy on the beach both times, while being nice and warm just a little inland.

You think I'm going to miss a chance to describe a guy who's around Trevor's age, when they're all hanging out at a lake? Not on your life. Shannon? Who's that?
-
Thank you so much, Albert. This was probably one of the easiest chapters for me to write and I had a lot of fun doing it. Being familiar with every place mentioned helps

I do have women who read my books and I'm just as grateful to have then here as the men. I want them to feel just as welcome to my writing as the men and not to feel discriminated against if they happen to be similar to any I've written. The way I wrote the females in this chapter was as a bunch of friends, having fun as they ogled and admired the new man in town. Since in one way or another, a lot of my characters could be considered slutty by any number of factors, I can accept that characterization. Some of the female readers on the site, and to my books might enjoy the "socially generous" women I included in this book. For all the praise that's been directed at Trevor, and themes in my other books of inclusiveness and acceptance of diversity, I've got to draw a line at saying to treat the women at the lake as a filthy carpet and out with the trash. Typically, the women I do write are limited characters, yet they're strong and independent. As a former male prostitute, I've had my share of being called slutty, treated like a filthy carpet, and tossed out with the trash. Okay, that's the end of my rant.
-
But I'm sure most would be interested in handling Trevor, Thad, Wade, and now possibly randy Randy.

The women aren't slutty. It's a small town and there's a new guy. They're just being friendly and welcoming. Kind of like when someone new walks into a gay cruise bar for the first time.

I'd most definitely be curious how people see him.

Thank you, VBlew. Trevor's catching the attention of several women, so Randy's likely sizing up the competition. Or he see's something he likes. Anything's possible in one of my books.

Nice thought, scrubber. The only time we've seen Trevor's laptop used was when he first arrived. He connected into a pack office connection, but not necessarily into anything used by the forensics team. He likely would have used one of their workstations for anything he did once he began work. His program would have likely been checked before allowed onto their network.

I've got the best readers. So vindictive against the villains

No pictures of a shirtless Trevor. I know how he looks in my mind, but I never tried to find someone he looks like. I already had a character who was a manipulative dick. Pit River Pack members are always ready if they find a McKinney

I was going to loan you my husband, but a Wolf/Carlos/Austin sandwich is acceptable terms.

As always, I so enjoy your thought process and comments. Now, don't hold back and tell me what you really think about the McKinney family.

I think Carlos laughed when I first sent him the chapter. I've blurred the lines between reality and fiction many times. Usually his fee is having me beta read for him. Though with the amount of work he's done with me, a reward is definitely warranted. Come to think of it, you've helped out quite a bit too.

Thank you, weinerdog. I'm sure Cassidy's comment would be a red flag, but is it enough to cause a horny young man to walk away from an easy lay? I guess if Trevor read anything from that WolfM guy and thinks he needs to look over his back, Thad summed it up perfectly. "I’ve tried to read the stuff by Wolf, but howler stories are too much like reading about my own life.”

Thank you, Scrubber. Trevor only got the internship because of his position to the pack's alphas. Being the new guy in the room, and the reasons for him being placed there, he likely wants to prove he's capable of doing the job. Trevor also sees this as valuable experience he likely wouldn't be exposed to yet. He had fun and got to meet a bunch of people at the lake. Based on people I knew and know with younger siblings, harsh words exchanged are very common.

Thank you, Raven. I'm not entirely sure Trevor's waiting to find his mate as much as sampling as much from the menu as he can before deciding. There's a lot of authors I'd happily plug. With Carlos, it just happened that in the early CJ books, the characters were always calling someone an asshole. The fact I have the honor of working with him never played a part. lol

Thank you for your continued support, Centex. Any scent change that would cause a question about Trevor could be chalked up him having been there when the McKinney's were brought down. Trevor does have strong feelings about everything that happened. Thad and Wade are kind of a combination between friend and uncle. They've got the respect of the pack, just as they've earned Trevor's. Putting them together was fun for me.

I threw in the political debate comment as cover for any who get upset about that time of thing. A1,S8,C17 of the constitution is also the reason a constitutional amendment wouldn't be needed. It comes down to five words in parenthesizes: (not exceeding ten Miles square). The proposal for statehood, or a variation based on my views of returning the land occupied as residential would still leave a federal district of the primary government buildings along and around the National Mall. It would be under ten square miles so the constitutional requirement would be met. It would be handled in the same manner as Arlington being returned to Virginia. That didn't require an amendment, just a simple act of congress. It's sort of off topic from the story, but I opened this up by discussing people wanting to create the state of Jefferson out of Northern CA and a lot of Oregon.

Thank you, Albert. It's about time I gave Trevor some print time.

It shouldn't require an amendment since no other state did. As long as the requirements for statehood are met, and there is a federal district of less than ten square miles it should be possible. To me, personally, the residential areas should be returned to Maryland like the portions of the district that were returned to Virginia. It could be one large city or multiple based on the neighborhoods like Georgetown or Anacosta. The one thing I'm not trying to do is spark a political debate though.
