  2. It's hard not to like him, even when he's ripping your oldest a new one.
  3. Chapter 16 – The Legend of Schrodinger’s Queer I remembered waking up at some point that morning when Cory returned from the bathroom. He curled back up with me on the air mattress set in the middle of my bedroom and snuggled close, his hand creeping up my shirt. The way his fingers tickled through my chest hair put me in mind of a cat kneading its blanket as it dozed and I couldn’t help grinning. I fell back asleep cuddled up to a 210 pound kitty. Only to be rudely awakened by my kid sis

    Chapter 7

It's been said before, but you've nailed the teenage voice. It sounds damn close to the way my students talk (give or take some Spanish!). I don't know why, but I like that Allison and Luke dislike each other. They know each other from church (if their church is like the ones I went to as a teen, they probably grew up in the church together), so it wouldn't be a surprise if Luke knew how phony Allison is. Hell, Allison might even be a little scared or jealous of how real and genuine Luke is. Jackson and his friends seem like okay kids, but are ultimately shallow and one-dimensional. Go to a party, get drunk, make out. That's it. That's living it up. Despite being the loser Christian kid with no friends, Luke is special. Jackson's "real" friends are forgettable and interchangeable (I think Jackson had mentioned in an earlier chapter that their little 6-pack had been through different pairings, as if the couples were so mix-and-match, that it didn't really matter who was dating whom). Luke is real. A lot of the fun Jackson and his friends had seemed to be unremarkable and same-old-same-old (no wonder he's bored!), but the things he and Luke do are memorable. The bonfires and parties kinda lump together, but even if nothing comes of his relationship with Luke, Jackson will have fond memories of the paint balloon maze fight and teaching him to swim. I always look forward to seeing how Jackson grows through his friendship with Luke.

Hindsight and all. Husband thinks he's too self absorbed to really understand those around him. But I guess that's all a part of being a young adult.

We've yet to see Cory angry. I mean really angry. I still don't know what form his temper will take once he unleashes it.
  8. Hehehehe Oh the stories I could tell.....

It's like SkinnyD said - it's a column-A-column-B thing. Yeah, his family was out of line, and yeah, Efrain over-reacted a little (he seems to like punching inanimate things when he's mad).

Cory is a lot more emotionally mature than Efrain. I wouldn't say he's completely over Efrain's comment, but he knows when to back off.

No one is perfect, that's for damn sure. But, I think I can find some good times for our boys.

I think that's what makes "outing" as bad as it is - we want to come out on our own terms, when we feel the safest, but being outed takes that from you. But, I agree about how telling Cory and Efrain are together. Even if the family hadn't known, it would only take 15 minutes with the guys to know what was up. It's amazing how no one else on their team has noticed yet!

Yes, Efrain is a sophomore, but I think the family has known even longer. As for Cory not realizing - this actually happened to me once. Not the exact words and situation, but I said something in a conversation with a boyfriend's parent, not realizing what I was doing. The boyfriend had to explain to me later...I was so embarrassed!
  14. Alright, there were comments posted in the past that were decidedly anti-Fran (someone went so far as to call her a skank) - and I kinda felt bad for her. I mean, she didn't know, couldn't have known, that her boyfriend is gay, so it wasn't her fault that Robbie was dating her when we all wanted Robbie and Nathan together. I was even planning to write something nice about her. Not anymore. Something didn't sit right with me when I first read the chapter, and I couldn't figure it out until I was heading home from work this evening. After Fran publicly humiliated him (many times individuals are encouraged to break difficult news in public spaces to keep the other person from causing a scene or getting violent), she did something even more horrible. That blow job. Robbie directly and indirectly expressed that he did not want that blow job at least four different times. He denied consent FOUR TIMES. After the first denial of consent, it's rape. Pure and simple. Fran raped Robbie. In public. To make a point. I know I might sound a little over-dramatic, but if the genders were flipped, say Robbie performed a sex act on Fran, one that she didn't want to happen, there would be no problem identifying this as rape. Just because he got an erection and, after an hour of forcible stimulation, came, doesn't make it any less of a rape. He asked her not to do it, tried to move away from it, expressed concern about the location and mess, etc. Yeah, rape. Just because we don't think of men as victims, or women as perpetrators, doesn't make this less of a crime. Robbie not realizing he'd been raped, or Fran not realizing that she had raped him, doesn't make this less of a crime. By the way - this make it the second time that Robbie has been raped.... As for Robbie and Nathan - Good on Nathan for standing up for himself. All things considered, Robbie is kinda in a weird place and was processing a really shitty night. He bungled things with Nathan, but he wasn't in the best state of mind at the time.

Sensitive? Maybe. He's not called el Gran Lobo Malo for nothing. He'll huff and puff... But, kinda have to admit that his family could have handled it better.

I take off my shoes because I hate wearing shoes. Like seriously, totes at work (on a break) and totes shoeless. Most households that take on their shoes do so because whoever handles the housework doesn't want you tracking in dirt.
  19. David's observations about losing focus are warped. It's strange that he's meditating on everything BUT his feelings Twoey and his sexuality. It's like he's running away. No, he IS running away. And much like his historic examples, he's going to fail so hard. I hope he gets his shit together soon. And, Chuck and Matty. Matty was really sweet. Hopefully, Eric doesn't get to him.
  20. Chapter 15 – Bring Home Bae It took all of five minutes from the time Cory and I got there to realize that we were home alone. It took less than one to get Cory under me on the couch, and even less than that to get him hard and panting. My hips rolled into him, grinding my cock against his. His arms and legs pulled me closer, bearing my weight into the couch beneath him. I roughly shoved my tongue as far into his mouth as it would go, a pretty decent imitation of what my dick was going to

    Chapter 15

    They are so sweet together!
  22. Today was my first day wearing the Fitbit. For some reason, I see myself having this discussion somewhere down the line. Fitbit: Dude, Dayne. How are you still gaining weight? Me: I dunno. Fitbit: I mean, you've been doing so well lately. Been meeting your daily step goals, staying on the right side of your calories in/calories out, and getting plenty of sleep. Me: Yeah... Fitbit: ...but you're still a fatass. Me: **frowns** Fitbit: Seriously, what the fuck have you been doing? Me: Uhm.... Fitbit: Like on this day... Me: Oh yeah, Monday. Fitbit: Yeah...Monday... See? You were totally under your calorie allotment. Me: Looks that way. Fitbit: But you still gained. Me: I, uh, kinda forgot to log some of dinner. Fitbit: What part of dinner? Me: All of it. Fitbit: Do I even want to know what you ate? Me: I just had pizza. Fitbit: How much? Me: **awkward pause** Fitbit: How much, Dayne? Me: Half a pie. Fitbit: Fucking hell! Is that all? Me: No, I also **mumbles** Fitbit: Come again? Me: I may or may not have had a fuckton of chocolate. Fitbit: What the fuck?! **sigh** At least you met your step goal for the day. Me: About that... Fitbit: Oh for fuck's sake! Me: What?! Fitbit: You didn't seriously do the wank cheat again? Me: .....maybe Fitbit: I thought we talked about this. Me: We did? Fitbit: I'm fucking serious this time, Dayne. You can NOT wank yourself thin. Me: But, I wasn't wanking. It's called a bi-cep curl... Fitbit: ...that looks an awful lot like wanking. Me: Would it be better if I got a Shake Weight? Fitbit: Oh my fucking God. Why do I even bother? ~End Scene~

    Chapter 4

I love Lane to pieces! I think he and Casey will both benefit as siblings. It's a little self-centered, I know, but I'm glad Casey met teachers who could be potential allies. I totally did not like the teachers at his old school at all.
  24. Poor poor David. Tommy's mother and PF (wait, does this make Tommy's mother a pig?) are a match made in OMFGMYEYESMYEYESOHTHEHUMANITYWHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?????!!!!! We're talking about little Chuck in Matty's deadly clutches, but wouldn't it beat all if Chuck wore him out and ruined him for other guys? And, now it's time for the "Dayne's Really Reading Way Too Much Into This" show: So, something I've been wondering...what if Jeter and Putin really were advising David, rather than being projections of his subconscious. Like out in the world, there is a former KGB operative with a penchant for going shirtless whilst riding horses who is personally giving advice to some American kid about his adulterous mother. 'Cause that would be funny. "Hold off on the Ukraine, I have to help this so-not-gay kid blackmail his mother and pastor."
