Thank you, Janet! You have NO idea how much that means to me!

Thanks again Benji! Interestingly, for the first time I know about a medical thing. I slipped on some ice and had a double quad rupture. Recovery was quite long and I'll be feeling weather changes for the rest of my life. Doing well, now though

I just couldn't resist. And I think I could make a lot of money from a Cabbage Patch Eli! Thanks! LOL

Calm down, Wesley! We have a lot to do before there's a wedding! LOL Thanks for the smile!

Please leave me a comment or review. It helps me more than you know... and I will respond as soon as I see it!

Cam asked me to tell you what it was like right after the accident—wait—accident, my ass! That asswipe tried to fucking kill me! Why does everyone call it an accident? This is gonna be kinda short because, well—I don’t really have a lot to remember. I was in a fucking coma, I’m told. So, I guess the best place to start would be when I heard this loud crash behind me. I jerked my head back, and my eyes locked with that fucking sperm donor I used to call Dad. “Dad! No!”

This makes me Soooo happy! -
I ended up getting a lot more sleep than I thought I would. Of course, my dreams were mainly about Ian and the horrible day we had just been through. I also found Vic, gay Vic, slipping in and out of those dreams. I mean, really!?! The last person on earth I thought would be gay was Vic. But then again, the more I thought about it, I never saw him going out with girls. But then again, I didn’t see him going out with boys, either. He was just Greenely, one of my teachers and, for all intents

Nurse Black led us back to our waiting area and sat us all down so she could talk to us. She told us that this would be our private waiting room as long as Ian was in ICU. The press conferences would be starting soon, and she wanted us to be as protected as possible from the press. I guess they can be aggressive as fuck when it comes to getting a scoop. She also told us that at this point, she would suggest that we go home for a few hours, grab a bite to eat, relax, and come back for an

Waiting because of coffee
FlyOnTheWall commented on Sam Wyer's story chapter in Waiting because of coffee
Love the story. Love this chapter. OMG, Kay's insecurities and overthinking bring back so many memories. You are an incredibly talented writer. Your characters are clear and concise. The fact that we can truly feel Kay's turmoil and Jake's confidence speaks highly of your skill! I'm still resisting going to that other site and avoid a binge re-read! It's so hard though! -
We got to Mom and Dad’s house, and both Claire and I were a total mess. Eli was crying. We were crying. And the problem was we didn’t know anything other than Ian was badly hurt—enough that they were flying him to the city. We did find out that Vic was flying with Ian, so at least he had someone with him. Mom had made some calls while we were driving over and reached Sam. He was in Chicago for the weekend at a convention and got on the first available flight back to Boston. He would me

It’s been a Summer to remember, that’s for sure! Charlie and Jacob have become great friends, and they are hanging out with us two or three nights a week. Charlie has insisted on being called ‘Uncle Charlie’ because he and Eli have become serious buds. Eli adores Charlie. They will play with each other and giggle the whole time. Eli loves to play with (okay, pull) Charlie’s hair, and Charlie loves to overreact every time the kid gets a handful. It’s so cute watching the two of them.

Thank you so much tesao! Your comment means so much to me! I'm also getting into Charlie as well. He's a little bit of me, btw. In high school I was skinny and scrawney and had a horrible self body-image. My Freshman year of college I met a Junior who was totally taken with me. He told me the things Jacob told Charlie. It was the most amazing thing I'd ever heard and he taught me so much! Hmmm. Maybe there's another story there!

Thank you Jeffrey! I'm not a fan of the back-and-forth POVs either... and trust me I've been guilty of them in the past! I'm glad you are enjoying the story and that cute little baby!

Thanks Benji! One of my students explained the term "fluid" to me a while back and I was so excited to be able to use in a story! LOL
-
Thanks Wesley! I totally love them together, too! This was such a fun chapter to write!

Yeah, the Summer was off to a great start. My boyfriend was pretty much wearing his hot-as-fuck Speedo at the pool and getting a tan that was only getting deeper and hotter every day. I know I keep telling you how fucking sexy my boy is, but dayum! Between his time at the pool and his workouts at the gym, I sometimes wonder if I’m gonna be able to keep him around! Don’t get me wrong. I’m at the gym with Ian pretty much every day after work. My abs are looking good. My pecs and arms are

Wesley and Tesao... thanks for your feedback. I've made a slight change to the story and put the original first paragraph back in. I think it will help clear things up for any future readers! Thanks!

Don't sell yourself short, drought!! I'm the slow one... it took me five freakin' chapters to get to the title explanation! LOL I hope you keep reading and enjoying the story!

Thank you Wesley. I'm so happy you liked this chapter, and yes... there will be more

This has been a favorite story of mine since I read it on that other site! When said you are expanding it, well hell! Warm fuzzies. And then I looked at the top of the page and saw you also wrote "Cal." Holy Crap! Another of my all-time favorites! You are a wonderful writer and I will admit that you inspire me to be a better one myself!

Jack. Jack Anderson here. When Cameron asked me to contribute to this story he's telling, I thought he was crazy. But then he explained to me that I had something to share that people might be interested in, so what the Hell—here goes nothing. I don’t know when I started thinking about it, but I know it was shortly after I turned forty. I think a lot of men do the same thing—you know, thinking about that day when you find you’ve lost your wife and what life would look like after. Tha
