  1. Let's finish Volume II, first. Very perceptive that there are possible legs in the future. But never fodder. Best, Jack
  2. Choreography is the key word. A valid sex scene should include the angst, hesitation, agressiveness and the awkwardness. Verbal and gutteral sounds should also be represented. Some sex scenes seem to be out of an Olympic event. I read, completely amazed, at the body contortions that some writers (not GA) use to explain "the act". And then the gallons of______. Come on, give me a break. I'm a hopeless romantic and any sex scenes I write have that as the foundation.
  3. To paraphrase Birdsofafeather: I never read the sex scenes, unless I have ______ in my hands and nothing else to do... Gratuitous sex in a story is a complete turnoff for me. However, if it is a natural turn of events, then go at it. As LB pointed out, author Josh has steamy scenes in almost every chapter. But his stories concern guys in their mid-teens and with a typical hormonal drive in outer orbit. I think that authors have a challenge to present a sex scene with originality. How many times can you describe whatever without reading like it came out of the same jar? Many times I enjoy my characters involved in a rapartee and playful beginnings of something that will be completed in the reader's mind. Best, Jack
  4. Well, I not so sure about "up and coming" but I will follow LB's lead and link my GA story page at the end of my Nifty editions. Also, I've modified my signature on Awesome Dude to link back to GA. One final thought: all hosted authors should assure that, somewhere on their official story page, there is a button to click that allows the reader to go to the "Other Hosted Authors" page. Best, Jack
  5. Hey Nick, I think you know that you think you know what's going to happen with the guys. However, the road gets pretty rocky and fraught with detours. Enjoy the ride! Thanks for your support. Jack
  6. Hi GA readers. With the speed and brillance of Joe, my page is up. There will be a few tweaks over the next couple of days to smooth out a few glitches. For those of you that may have followed the first four chapters of It Stays in Vegas, , I pleased to announce that Chapter 5 is posted on the new site. For those of you unfamiliar with the story, it is a mixture of action, drama and L.O.V.E. I put it on the shelf in December and meant to get back to it before now. For new readers (and old), I appreciate feadback. Jack http://jackscribe.gayauthors.org/vegas/chapter5.html
  7. Thanks for the welcome and encouragement. I look forward to sharing several stories with you. : It's great to be part of the Gay Authors family! Jack - in Palm Springs
