    Chapter 37

They do. Homosexuals in Russia suffer, just like we do. When I write, the stories take on a life of it's own, I begin a story going one direction and end up somewhere else. I'm surprised. Boris and Yuri started as just employees I would mention did something to prove how it happened. But if someone is cooking you meals and protecting your very life they will be more personal with them. Yuri was first, then Boris. They came to life! It's Harry's fault. He was getting married. So did William! That got me thinking "what if." I could see Harry coming before his grandmother with a guy to marry. He would!! Queen Elizabeth signed that...whatever, allowing same gender marriage. How could she say he couldn't? .
  2. The Wedding Part Four Olek looked as if he was going to get up again as Yuri approached. “No,” Yuri said waving Olek back down. “General Burke and Hammond are handling it. Sit.” He waved his hand toward Olek in a lowering motion. “This is an important night for Makarovia.” He looked at Peter and me. “For everybody.” The fight hadn't been too long ago. The table where we sat was round and we could all see the evidence how bad it was. The cuts had stopped bleeding, but
  3. The Wedding Part Three We were putting the final touches to what we had put on. Jori had made us these suits that fit well. I chuckled to myself thinking his constant comments about his reputation, he was safe. The suits weren't tuxedos, but nice looking suits. Both were a dark blue, but Peter's was lighter. Jori had explained the due to Peter's fair complexion, he would look better with less of a contrast. Jori was talking about seasons and what season I was...what!? A

    Chapter 35

    Yep. Well, Groomzilla?
  6. The Wedding Part Two Again a day with Jori. We had been eating more while here. I figured he needed to be sure. He had a reputation to keep, if you remember him saying that. He measured again to see if anything needed to be altered by taking in a little or giving more room. Fortunately, neither of us needed any of that. I have to admit it. The closer the day came, I was getting this feeling. Not scared or wanting to get out of this situation. It wasn't excitement ei

    Chapter 34

It was his car before he even knew where Makarovia was! He now gets to drive it. In Makarovia!

    Chapter 34

Again, I wrote all day. I'm tired. Sure, they did and do suffer. Much of what I have read and learned, they're always fighting. The main fight is religion. It happened long ago. The divide just never healed. They export goods and ore. That car they made. PU. A lot of what happened I wrote about. Race and religion is a dangerous combination.
  9. The Wedding Part One As slow as it seemed time wise, we enjoyed being home. Our need for security was less of a concern in Makarovia than Boston. The people here knew us and would defend us from anyone doing us harm. That didn't negate the need for security. There were people here that came from other countries that could hurt us. It happened before. The Friday a week until the dinner we went to the Grotto. We insisted Yuri and Boris come with us. We took my car. We were foll

    Chapter 33

Sorry, I've been writing all day. Anyhooo, you're doing it again. Reading ahead. There are traditions I am including the wedding. Buyout the Bride, the Parents' Blessing and other traditions have to be changed a little. There is no bride. Eric is being given to the Ivanov's to join the family. Eastern Orthodox traditions won't be part of the wedding. Cultural traditions will be. The priest will bless the marriage, but he can't marry them. He would be saying the Church approves. Combining Ukrainian and Romanian is easy. There are similar traditions. You have good ideas I use. It's coming.
  11. My perspective with time was playing with me again. In some ways, it just seemed to crawl. We had talked about a honeymoon. Even made reservations on a few. Mario Basso's private island was going to be used by Boris and Yuri. The trouble with the Consortium made us rethink those places. I was reviewing the website for Makarovia on the computer in our room. “I got it,” Peter said happily as he came back to our rooms from Olek's office. “It's perfect.” He sat with me in the chair like we d

    Yep,
  14. We did well on our finals. Grades were posted and we both passed. Now, we were preparing for our trip to Makarovia. I looked forward to seeing it again. We had friends there now and I wanted to see them again. Makarovia, too, was feeling like home to me. We were again taking the plane that belonged to Makarovia. Until they found the Consortium, a commercial flight would endanger other innocents. With Boris and Yuri going, the house wasn't being closed down, but there was a reduction of needed st
  15. “It has to be them.” Peter said as Yuri began pacing. “They used the same tactics as last time.” Yuri nodded. “It could be.” He turned to us. “It could also be a number of others from the Russians or Ukrainians...” He shook his head. “Until we have evidence, it's all speculation.” You could see his mind was going. “We need to get you three out of here and back to Boston.” “Who was hurt?” Grandmother asked. “Those were some bad crashes. Do you know yet?” Yuri shook his head. “Right no
  16. We arrived in London and driven to the Savoy again. It was nice to feel a familiarity with this city. I knew where we were going! We were driven to the hotel and checked in. The following day was the taping of the show which would air in two weeks. The next day we'd return to Boston. We were taken to the Royal Suite. It had been used for other visiting royalty, actors and dignitaries of all kinds. Security again was the reason. It could be well guarded. “Oh, my.” Grandmother said enterin

    Chapter 29

Who says they didn't? Peter and Eric said they were endorsing Jocks.
  21. We were greeted by Boris who came in smiling as he was wiping his hands with a small kitchen towel. He looked at each of our guests. “Boris,” I said happily. “You know Grandma.” Boris smiled even bigger as my grandmother hugged him. “Katrina, it's wonderful to see you again.” I motioned to Drew and Wayne, “This is our good, good friends Andrew Humphries and his husband Wayne Jenkins.” I looked at the two. “This is our dear friend Boris Petrov.” Peter patted Boris on the arm. “Thi

    Chapter 10

Sorry, I've been busy. Yes, Kchivchany Mountains. It is in the lower part of the Carpathian Mountains. Right on the Eastern edge of the Ukraine and Western edge of Poland. North of Romania and South of Belarus.
  23. I haven't told you yet. His taking over Asbest, then Russia is the first steps. He wants all of it under his control. How he plans to do it is nefarious.
  24. The Plan is Revealed None of us were that surprised to have been caught, but this was a trap we seemed to have been led into. It was also a major possibility we could have been killed. Even if they didn't kill us right away that didn't mean we wouldn't still be killed. Yuri was a pretty good looking man in his early thirties with short dark hair. His demeanor was open and almost pleasant. He also had the dry eyes that were brown. He did the gestures again with his fingers. Hi
  25. Below Ground I squeezed Colin's hand. “We should have watched him more carefully. We saw the real John come out at the hotel.” “He fooled me.” Colin nodded. “John's smarter than even I gave him credit for.” “He broke down at the hotel, but managed keep that urge to go to George under control.” I shrugged. “Being so close, he managed to fool us into thinking he could wait.” “He knows we'll come after him.” Colin sighed. I nodded again. “He was tired of inaction.”
