Joel did witness the team Jim was a part of have success with the antigravity field. He saw the field work with the jetbike. Control was the problem there. With the jetbike powered up, it was fine. It threatened to topple over when stationary. It was a single, or if needed, two person craft for going short distances. Like bicycles and motorcycles it could carry two. The sidecar wasn’t even thought about. The other person would ride their own jetbike. If there was trouble the two riders could get

When Gravity Isn't Gravity
R. Eric commented on R. Eric's story chapter in When Gravity Isn't Gravity
It was agony! There are still people without power in Tampa, but I was suffering from withdrawal after Miton. We lost power Wednesday and it was Friday night when it came back. Nothing to do! I am on the fifth floor of an apartment complex. No storm surge flooded this area. Even if I had a book, how could I read it without a lighted reading magnifier? I envisioned I would be babbling incoherently in a dark corner! When the power came back, it was a Devine light that shone from above. I moved here from Charleston on June 20th. I am still setting up house. I now have battery backup for when this happens again. This is friendly complex. I know every dog that lives here and the Human they own. Yes, the dog owns the Human, not the other way around. Cowboy, Ginger, Chedda (the spelling is right), and many other tailwaggers. (I love dogs.) Anyway, I lived through it, barely. I began writing again when the power was up a mere ten percent on my Alienware. It's a compulsion. I have to write! I've just got to! -
When Gravity Isn't Gravity
R. Eric commented on R. Eric's story chapter in When Gravity Isn't Gravity
Everyone on the Ark is young. The oldest person is Nayef at only Fouty. They all have advanced degrees, and many have two. There are a few that have three. They were the best planned and sent out there, Ark. They also have those that will help with the Human evolution. It probably hurt to send them away. A gamble, but they thought it the best plan. They also didn't skimp on the equipment. The Earth wanted them to succeed! Theyb were screened medially and psychologically -
The next morning began again. Business resumed as normal. Sara Beth was clearly pregnant. She was in the end of her second trimester. He watched as Sara Beth had to work harder to get on her feet. Joel was not looking forward to the endless trips to the bathroom, the swollen ankles, the back pain...he wondered if Hank would feel Rita’s issues. “How many pregnancies are there now?” Joel asked. “Seventy-two,” Sara Beth answered with a smile. “With a population or nearly one thousand

They have! Actually, they were in for 109 or 110 years Earth time. Gaean years is approximately 93 Gaean years, the almost ten years going to Alpha Centuri, the additional ten approximate years going to Gaea. They launched in 2330 AD from Earth. Earth time is measured by Earth's orbit and rotation. Gaea's us measured by the same way, but a Gaean year is longer. The day on Gaea is longer. But time is time. My Ark residents really haven't been up more than seven months total. Daylia was conceived as they were leaving Earth's solar system. Human gestation taking a hundred years!? There will be another period in stasis, so pregnant for two hundred years!? Measure time by Sara Beth!

Joel woke ready to face a new day. He was still amazed at the lengths they were going to bring elements of the old Charleston back. He never considered what he’d done as heroic but hoped they all followed him as the designated leader. He’d done what was needed to get things done. When asked where he was from he did say he was from Charleston. He’d been told all his life they were from Charleston. Even if he’d never lived there, he was from Charleston. He hadn’t lived there because of the rise

Life was too important. Religions and just being a part of life told us suicide was not the answer. What did anyone else know of another’s pain? Would Iustina, Repetate or Ralph be able to process this? I knew that those three were not inherently evil. They were created to kill and to weaken potential people someone wanted to invade. It was Human greed that motivated these men that started this. The truth, even though it was ignorance that caused those three to do what they did. The urge to cons

Oh, it's going that far. And beyond. Count on it.

The excitement was still high as they entered the Communal Dining Area. Joel raised his hands and said, “Broadcast what I say to everyone, please Athena.” “Go ahead, Joel,” Athena said as she appeared next to Joel. “That was exciting!” Joel said happily to everyone. “And you will not be left out! I promise. You will go down to be able to run your feet in the grass below.” He assured them. “It’s an amazing experience.” There were questions from the others to those that had gon

“And” Peter told the family. “Eric knows how to make Butterbeer!” There were puzzled looks from everyone. Mom asked the first question, “From those Harry Potter movies?” Olek’s eyes held surprise, “Those are real?” Helga chuckled and shrugged, “If it can be dreamed of it can be invented.” I grudged a nod, “It’s not my formula, but I’ll try it one day.” Helga smiled, “I can tell this is very fattening.” She touched her abdomen. “My having twins pretty much threatens my fi

As you may know, in Prince Vincent, Eric Richards was a member of the Shoshone! He was related to the tribal chief! I love Native Americans! I discovered their views on gender and sex and respect the Hell of them. Savages!? Not even close. They are nore civilized than white men! Thanks! R. Eric

It happened again. Joel regained his mind and thoughts as he revived from stasis. Leif had relaxed and had agreed that Athena could do the job and decided to wait with everyone else. “Athena,” Joel said. “You can’t tell me it’s been practically a century!” Athena laughed lightly, “It has been an additional ninety-three point two years.” “It can’t be,” Joel looked as he looked down at the other pods that were opening. “It is,” Athena assured. “Come out and see.” She appeared i

“No problems,” Scott nodded happily. Hank held his hand up, “Don’t say that!” He said to Scott in a stressed whisper. “Say what?” Scott asked. Hank grudged a nod and shake of his head, “In almost every movie, book or anything...as soon as you say that, all Hell breaks loose!” He waved his hands in futility. Joel smiled, but rolled his eyes, “Not that again.” “What?’ Scott asked uncertainly. “Sure and yes, that again,” Hank nodded. “It’s the morning on Saturday the fourteenth, the bir

They worked a few more hours. Scott looked at Joel and Hank. “You can interact with Athena quietly,” Scott said. “Nonvocal communication.” “I do now,” Joel said. “With the Stingers and everything else.” “Yes,” Scott nodded. “I’m talking about talking with Athena while even awake and never say a word out loud.” He smiled and gave a slight shrug. “You could be interacting with someone and give instructions to Athena unspoken. Say it was someone suspicious. You could tell her to send

Oh, should I mention that in both Greek and Roman myths (Which Rome stole. I was married to an Italian, so I know.) The Muses were male? Sorta taints the female Muses, doesn't it? Kira was female in inspire Sonny. Yeah, right. So, the original Muses inspired Artists by the Johnsons? Sculptures, painters, musicians...all inspired by young men...who weren't young men...you know what I mean. There is the movie Mannequin. The same thing! My inspiration is male...and older. I named Bubba, remember? Back to writing!

Yes. Basically, Xanadus was a forum for ELO's musical expression. It was campy, cheesy and, God forbid, not the best film. BUT I LOVED IT!!! I watched it must be a hundred times. I can quote parts! I adored the scene where the Muses came out of the mural. "I'm Alive!" Music is such as HUGE part of my life. Mozart, Tchaikovsky, to Disturbed, the Corrs, I love them ALL!! I remember ELO when they were hot! (What am I saying? They are still hot!) Music speaks to us. I'm listening! I love Styx! (I pushed with some country music but admit to liking some very much.) Music paints a picture and tells a story. I am fascinated. It's universal! I pray I gave the picture I wanted. We are everywhere and the numbers are staggering! The important thing is, did you enjoy it? Then I can sleep well.

As the noise level increased, I felt even more at home and at peace. I loved Mike and I loved Chet, We were a family. Mark entered and stopped. “Am I entering a family moment?” I grinned, “Yes, that includes you. Come on in.” Mark was still not used to this. “Really?” He asked in disbelief. “Of course,” Mike agreed waving at Mark to come in further. “Chet calls you Uncle Mark, that makes you my brother.” He shrugged. “Sure,” I grinned, “You’re my brother, too.” I waved h

Thank you very much. This is one of the biggest reasons I write. More coming, I swear!

I really understand. I was married to a woman for almost ten years. I understand the regret and pain on your side and your wife's. It my greatest pain I have. I never meant to hurt her. I did what was expected. HOWEVER! I also never felt so free! A huge burden weas lifted. Trolling the waters of gay men was hard. What were the rules? Anyway, that was why I write, to tell the guys not to give up. Look for love. Not immediate gratification.

An intriguing question. One I am answering in the next chapter, which I'm working on now. How Human will they be? How will it affect their family? This is why I love feedback! New doors open to my plots! Thank you! 💗 R. Eric

Then I won't torment you about Saint Martin. We went several times. The long streets of vendors...all from India is seems wanting to sell something wonderful! I will tell you we found a wonderful chocolate shop! Yes! We bought there many times. So wonderful that the security dog at the airport, sniffing for drugs, zeroed in on it. She was in training we were told. A cute beagle and I love beagles. We loved Saint Martin. 56 is still young. Love doesn't have an age limit. Keep looking. 😃

Daniel and I never got there. They have a long beach, shops and a great nightlife. Many great restaurants. I am a little jealous. We were big on the Caribbean. Especially Barbados. I loved it there! It was so clean! Not so much as random trash in the streets! And monkeys! Lots of monkeys. We had John-John visit us at bar on the beach and he was very entertaining. He was a drunk! He would take our drinks and drink them. He wasn't t wild. Now Martinique! Fond memories. I miss it and Daniel every day. And that's good! I swear. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Who was anyone at Disneyland or Disneyworld? Or any of the other Disney parks? No one really paid that much attention to the four of us who wandered around the park. Chet wanted to do everything! There were so many movies that made Disney from Snow White to Star Wars! The characters were all there. Coasters were everywhere! We hit a few several times. We each had ball caps and dark glasses, so no one knew who we were. Parking was the first challenge, but the Disney people knew how to deal with t
