Hello, molly. It's Penguins vs Rangers here while I get stuff done. Hockey Day in America.
-
Should be a good show.
-
Do we get to know who?
-
Or read this article for a good chuckle.
-
Emotional chapters are certainly draining.
-
Good morning, subs and DiCkies. Went for a run early, had some productive writing thoughts while hitting the pavement (in part thanks to tim). Now going to make some breakfast and jot those thoughts on paper before I attend to other tasks. Hope it's a good/productive day for everyone.

Definitely something to cook in. However, I too, thought of the vintage spinning tops when I first glanced at your post.
-
Yes, sadly, some like that.

Spot-on, Thorn. Punishment usually has an opposing effect. Maybe one could say that discipline is done out of care, while punishment is done out of ego.
-
No, many people probably don't recognize the difference. One is meaningful, the other is... mean?
-
you're right, corrective actions should never be administered when angry. Punishment can also come in the form of abusive language.
-
Discipline is teaching through wisdom. Punishment is teaching through abuse. These 2 simple sentences have been rolling around in my head for a couple of weeks. I wrote them as part of an email response to someone regarding The Process of Learning. I'm thinking there is a longer essay to be expounded on here. Thoughts?

And I've always wanted to visit Newfoundland - now I really want to. Thanks for bringing that culture to life so well!

Everyone who's already left a comment has touched on my own thoughts, so I'm not sure what to add, except to say this was difficult for me to read, father-wise, just as I'm sure it was difficult for you to write it, father-wise, because neither of us found that peace we deserved as sons. Reading Louis' and his father's last conversation was extremely touching. But beyond that scene, the great sense of love and familial support you illustrated throughout this chapter was palpable. From the smallest nuances of simple meal-sharing to the healing hugs to the quiet moments of grieving, you latched onto realities of loss and coping. tim, you really blew this chapter out of the ballpark. I believe it is one of your finest.

Looks like a tree. In love with the now dead tree phone pole.

I'm glad to be free and am headed the f*ck out! Whatever everyone is doing tonight, make it fun, keep it safe. Cheers.
-
That's paradise for my eyes right now. Thank you for sharing it.
-
Seems the internship would be a good fit for you. Taking care of yourself is a good place to start.
-
What's next on the horizon?
-
Sitting down to eat some lunch, so I'm good, thank you. How are you?
-
Very sorry to hear all of that, A. Focus on you and what you need to work on. Everyone will be here when you feel better and have more time to hang out.
-
Sounds like a good plan. Sleep well.
-
That's always the hope.
-
All right, lunch is done. I will say farewell for now.

We've had record snowfall in Colorado this year, but mostly up in the mountains where it belongs.
