Good day, DiCsters. The sun is finally out, but it's still frigid. Happy to not be going anywhere, but I still feel like shit. The boy brought me meds, and there's a pot of green chili simmering on the stove. Hope everyone's well.

Great chapter, tim, full of surprises and emotional reactions. The social workers' untimely arrival is like a foreshadowing of challenges yet to come in the foster care of Max. But there are many positive points in this chapter. Louis is very fortunate to work for compassionate people, and his courage to step out and follow a new path is inspiring.
