Speaking of that, we have one week to wait until we see Billy start blaming Joey for fucking everything up by telling Brett that he knew about Jack. No matter what he thinks, Billy's not at the stage where he'll take responsibility for destroying his relationship. So he'll blame Joey and go punch another mirror, as if that'll help.
-
"He'll never find out I knew all this time, what could go wrong?" Funny how his keeping quiet caused the exact thing he was trying to avoid by keeping quiet. What really gets to me is how Brett keeps dropping these "Please tell me the truth" hints, and Billy doesn't have the slightest hint or remorse or second thoughts about what he's doing. I find it a bit hard to believe that he's so oblivious that not even once does he start to think that maybe things aren't going to go the way he thinks. I feel sorry for Billy being stranded in Erie, Brett went too far with that one, but I don't feel sorry for Billy getting dumped, because he deserved it.
-
Billy really is his own worst enemy sometimes. I wonder who's going to pick him up and when. And also what Dustin will do when Billy goes over to cry on his shoulder.
-
The other thing too is that Billy really took Brett for granted and assumed that he could just explain and Brett would understand and everything would be okay. Billy dug his own grave on that one. We never did find out how much he told Paula about this, and what she told him. I'm not trying to defend Billy, but Brett screwed up in this too. He should've known by now what a coward Billy is, and that he'd run away from it as long as he could. I'll never understand what made Brett think that this time would be any different. Instead of coming up with this ridiculous trip to Buffalo idea, he should have just straight up confronted Billy about it and tried to work things out like they've always done. Billy doesn't take hints, Brett should know that by now. They're both to blame for what happened, Billy more so than Brett, and the people around them will have a hell of a hard time getting them to work this out. Because if they're really meant to be together like everyone's been saying since the beginning, they're going to have to calm down and talk this through. But I wonder who Brett's "spite boyfriend" is going to be... Let's not forget the only person who could calm down Brett is probably Joey. He'll consider everyone else to be lying scum or people sent by Billy to try to get them talking again, so he'll ignore anything they have to say. (posting this from the forum thread)

Billy may have won some battles along the way, but he lost the war in the end. Maybe this is the part where he finally and truly stops taking Brett for granted, after it's too late like every other time he owned up to one of his major mistakes. I'm still holding out hope for an HEA, but the way things are right now it's not happening. I guess it depends on whether the people around him will try to talk some sense into both of them.

BILLY, YOU IDIOT!! So Brett basically tells him "I know that you know, and this is your last chance to tell me", and the moron just sits there and pretends that everything's fine. How the hell can he not see this?! How can someone so smart be so fucking STUPID at the same time?! So this is exactly how I thought this would play out. Good job, Billy. As for what happens after this, I'm not sure. I think they'll get back together eventually, but that's a long way off. It all depends on who manages to knock some sense into Brett (I'm thinking Joey, since he knows best what their father is like), since Billy will probably self-destruct and take himself out of the race for valedictorian. A few chapters ago I would've said that Dustin would take this chance to jump in and be Billy's rebound boyfriend, but now I think he'll just try to support them through this. We're going to see a sad B&B for a long time, though. Wanna bet that the history teacher (John Taylor's lackey) decided to give a pop quiz when he saw that Billy skipped class? That would give him a 0 and take him out of the running.
-
I'd laugh if that was a big April Fool's setup, and he just posts super gumdrops and rainbows chapters all day.
-
What a strange way to celebrate Easter...
-
"Hey Brett. You dumped me, so I decided to hook up with your brother instead. He's every bit like you."
-
I don't think it would have, honestly. Joey's the son Jack didn't want, and he treats him accordingly. From what Billy heard, Jack very much wanted to be a part of Brett's life and be a father to him. Which begs the question: was Joey's acting out a response to his fathers's emotional abuse, or a way to get Jack's attention? In my opinion, it's the latter slowly turning into the former.

You know, I'd have to go back and check, but that mention of Joey sounds a lot like what he said about Dustin when he started spending his nights at the park. Not saying that's what Joey's doing, but it seems to me like he's in the same state of mind. I'm worried about where that self-destructive path will take him. Joey's an asshole, but he doesn't deserve this.
-
Good to see that Billy resisted temptation. I was really worried after the last chapter that he'd give in, even if only for pity sex. And it's still sad to see Dustin talk like this, you'd think he was still 'working' in the park. I'm sure he'll find the guy to make him feel worthy eventually, but I hope it's soon. OMG, Brett, that was too funny! That was a mean April Fool's by Em and Dustin, but it's still funny. I'm a bit worried about Joey, his dad must've really laid into him. He looks scared and broken. This Buffalo trip is a disaster waiting to happen. Don't do it, Billy, tell him the truth NOW! Here's how this is going to go: Billy will drive them down to Buffalo, they'll meet Charlie, Charlie will tell Brett the truth while Billy sits there and tries to act surprised, Brett will see right through it, and then they have a nice four hour drive to fight about it. It's good to see Paula knocking some sense into him. Billy's running out of time to tell the truth, and I doubt he wants Brett to blow up at him where he doesn't have an escape route. That's going to be a very uncomfortable trip back from Buffalo. What Billy needs to do is wait until Dr. Reilly leaves, then go to Brett's house and tell him the truth. At this point, he has to settle for what makes Brett hate him the least, and that's NOT driving all the way to Buffalo to hear this from a complete stranger. Sure, things will be bad for a while, but Brett's not stupid, he knows the kind of men Jack and Billy are, and he'll have no problem figuring out that Jack intimidated his boyfriend into silence. I'm sure he'll come around sooner or later. This really puts into question what Brett knows. On one hand, he could genuinely think that Charlie is his father, and is unwittingly setting up this nightmare scenario for Billy. On the other hand, it could be that he knows it's Jack all along, and he's testing Billy to see how far he'd go to keep up the lie. I'm really torn on this as all previous signs pointed to him knowing who his father is, but I don't think Brett could keep up the act for this long. Brett also put Billy in a difficult position with this: "Billy, I don’t ask you for a lot. This is important to me. I need you to come with me." Or maybe it's the third option, which is more likely: Brett knows Charlie isn't his father, but he's going to see him in hopes that Charlie knows who his father is and will tell him.

So, Billy wants to become a lawyer, I guess? That was some hot sex, they really released some frustration there. Brett's right once again. Billy should grow up and let her have the title so she can set herself up for failure once she realises daddy can't bully her way through college. That's the best way to get back at them, I think. Let her crash and burn in college while you show them what real academic success is. Poor Dustin, it must be hard for him to give up Billy for good. At least now he admitted it to himself and he can start looking for the right guy. I've always felt that he wouldn't have gotten Billy either way, because Billy probably wouldn't have wanted to risk losing his best friend over a relationship that may not work out. So Dustin knows about Brett's dad and got Billy to confirm it for him, since I'm sure he's as good as Brett at telling when Billy's lying to him. Now he also puts Billy in a tough spot. Does Billy let Dustin tell Brett, or does he tell him himself? He needs Jack's help to reach his new career goal, but he risks losing his reason for fighting in the process. I'm guessing he'll be trying to find ways to let Brett know and keep the internship at the same time. Of course, there's always the possibility that Brett finds out on his own (he probably already did), and if Billy still gets the deal if that happens. Maybe Brett can persuade his father to give Billy the internship anyway. Idle Hands: I hope that's not the next morning with Billy and Dustin messing around. I doubt it, it's probably more about what Brett's up to, including Buffalo and Foster & Bryant.

Maybe not, but Araziah strikes me as a bully and the type who wouldn't be above exploiting any of Torsten's perceived weaknesses to get him to comply. And with his personality, he probably sees attachment to others as a weakness that can be used in another bluff. Knowing what Araziah is capable of, I'm not sure Torsten would take the chance to call another bluff if a life is in the balance. I know a couple of people in the Conclave who won't welcome him with open arms when he shows up bragging about how he killed Theo/Thyndorag. Personally, I think the Conclave's offer will be conditional to him falling in line and obeying orders, and there's no way Araziah's going along with that.
-
Backstabbers have backs too, but they often forget that.
-
I completely agree! I think that's mostly because Araziah is young and hasn't discovered the value of diplomacy. All he ever does is threaten and intimidate others, and that won't work with Torsten. The only way I can see Torsten helping him right now is if he threatens to kill his friends and family. I can't imagine Celeste will be very impressed with what happened. All Araziah had to do was knock out Theo, and make Torsten admit that Araziah was right about him. Instead, he goes overboard and completely alienates him, I don't see Torsten ever forgiving him for that. To be honest, as much as I liked Theo and think he deserved better, I don't want him to be resurrected. I feel like this is something that had to happen, and having Theo come back to life would make it meaningless.
-
What a way to go. Poor Theo... I knew he'd get killed eventually, but I didn't expect it to be so soon, or like this. I feel bad for Theo, he didn't deserve to die like this. Interesting events involving Lady Shiba, but my focus is almost entirely on Torsten at the moment. Torsten just did something really stupid, but he was right to do it and I don't blame him one bit. So now it looks like he gave Araziah to the bad guys, though I somehow doubt he'll agree with them either. But Torsten should know that there are other ways to coerce someone. Maybe Araziah can't do anything to Torsten, but ha can hurt his mom, or Lucy, or any of his other friends and relatives. I don't think this is really Torsten's last chance, if Araziah needs him to ensure his future. However, this was probably his last chance to go along peacefully, without any harm coming to his friends. Unless his job was to send Araziah over to the Conclave, which I doubt it was. And now, the torture begins, as we patiently wait for the next chapter in this amazing story.

Jack always struck me as the type who likes to be in control. As such, it makes sense that he'd want the truth to come out on his terms, especially if he knows the jig is almost up. I feel like the hospital room was his last chance to do that. I don't think he's aware that both his sons probably already know, and that Joey's getting desperate enough to spill the beans without caring about the consequences. I can see Jack becoming an unlikely ally if/when his marriage falls apart. For the record, I think it's going to come from either Joey, or Billy caving in when the two brothers team up and put pressure on him. The chances of Billy blurting it out to Paula during one of their arguments have been drastically reduced.
-
Well, if you're going to go there...
-
But then, why give Billy a way out? To spare Joey? To give himself a way out? That was the moment to tell Brett the truth, and all three of them chickened out. So Jack, for all his big talk, can be as much of a coward as Billy is. Then again, it could also be Jack realising that Billy is an important part of his son's life and wanting to give him an opportunity to succeed. There's also that this is coming from Dr. Reilly, and I still don't trust her to have been completely honest about things. I think there's still more to be learned about Jack's situation, and my guess is it's come from either Joey or Jack himself.
-
I don't know. It feels to me like he'd be showering Joey with love and praise, while acting cold towards Brett and keeping him away. The last thing Jack should want is for Brett and Joey to spend time together, since his wife would notice the resemblance. But there he is, pushing his tow sons to be together all the time and acting all parent-like towards a friend's child. Jack can be almost as bad as Billy's glass closet sometimes. And can Joey really be a make-up baby when Jen found out she was pregnant after Heather was? I can see that it was make-up sex, though. I just find it weird that Jack's thought process was "Sleeping with my girlfriend/wife's best friend was a huge mistake, so I'm going to favour the mistake son over the legitimate one."
-
How could it not, when Billy "Last Word" Roberts is involved?
-
Maybe, but what I do know is that I want to see the two of them get married!
-
We don't know how Jack felt about his brother's sexuality, but from what Jen said he was very supportive, so that would explain his trying to distance himself from Carl. But we didn't really see his overprotective behaviour until recently, so I don't know. Part of me is starting to feel like Jack expressed his overprotectiveness through Joey's hostility towards Billy. We don't know how his brother got HIV, so maybe he was trying to push Billy away to save Brett from what happened to his brother. Okay, none of that made any sense . I feel like Jack's being overprotective of Brett to make up for what he feels is failing his brother in some way. What I'm curious about is why Jack acts in a completely opposite way when it comes to Joey. I get why he treats Brett the way he does, but why does he seem to hate Joey so much? By all means, it should be the other way around. I think there's another untold secret behind Joey's birth.
-
Begin? I thought they've been falling for a while now.
