  1. Chances are we won't see the Vanilla Douche get his moment, since Billy won't be there to see it. But I'm expecting him to go "What the fuck, Paula?!" when he finds out what happened. I think he'll end up being Billy's most unexpected ally in this.
  2. I don't think this is reparable. Even if Paula does come around and accepts Billy, I don't think he'll ever trust her again after what she did. He's going to think it's a trap and that she's going to turn on him again the minute he goes back to her house, just like she did when George died. Withholding his insulin was the bridge too far, I don't think Billy will ever get over the fact that she was willing to watch him die because of his sexuality.
  3. I really don't think she expected Billy to actually leave. And the best part of it is that her reputation is probably ruined because Billy very publicly outed himself in front of all these people. Billy even told her they were gossiping behind her back over a year ago, now she's going to be all shocked when they turn around and socially stab her in the back. What a dumb bitch...
  4. Funny thing is, I never got the impression that he's not a fan of Billy's, just that Billy isn't a fan of his. I think he actually likes Billy, but keeps his distance because Billy never wants anything to do with him. I hope he files for divorce and leaves her all alone in that house, she deserves it.
  5. What the fuck, Paula?! Seriously, go to hell. I'm so proud of Billy for finally standing up for himself in both situations. It's about time someone talked back to that so-called "pastor", and Billy did it as calmly and maturely as I could've expected him to. As for Paula... I still had a shred of hope that she'd get her head out of her ass and stand by Billy, but that's obviously not going to happen. Maybe she'll calm down and realise she over-reacted, but it's too late and the damage is done. I can't blame Billy one bit for reacting the way he did, threatening to take away his insulin is the lowest of the lows. Paula just burned every bridge and filled the river with molten lava. Even if she does try to mend their now non-existent relationship, I don't see Billy ever talking to her again. I really hope this is the end of Paula's being part of the town 'elite', fuck that bitch. What was the Vanilla Douche doing while this was going on? And why do I have the feeling he's going to take Billy's side? Next chapter sounds like it's the start of "B&B Against the World", and hopefully bringing down that hateful preacher and his lackeys (including Paula). EDIT: Now that I’ve had a chance to calm down, I can analyse the fight with Paula with a level head. What she said and did was inexcusable, but reading that conversation again I noticed a few things. She’s still conflicted between her son and her religious beliefs, and she allowed her anger and desire for acceptance to lead her to making the wrong choice. On the insulin part, I think she was seriously expecting Billy to back down like he usually does, and Billy called her bluff. And she should be smart enough to know that Billy’s way too stubborn to change his mind about moving out. I honestly can’t see Jen not taking Billy in and not paying for his medical bills. Brett wouldn’t let her get away with that. And what about the coin box, Jeff?
  6. That's how I read it too, especially with the last part.
  7. I'm glad Billy isn't trying to run from this like he did with everything else. But at the same time I felt sad to see him lose all respect for George over this, especially after what Paula said earlier. Speaking of Paula, she once again showed what a hypocrite she is in that little argument over his sexuality. I really hope Billy's diagnosis will make her realise she's better off having a gay son than a dead one, but I still don't think that's going to be enough. Next chapter: "An Outing at Church": I'm going to go in a different direction here and say that this is not about Billy being outed. I'll say this is referring to Jack being "outed" as Brett's father, either to Brett himself or to Joey.
  8. I see them both getting a small heart-shaped tattoo with "B&B4Ever" written inside it. We also never heard about Billy ever managing to apologise to Emily, did we?
  9. I knew Billy would end up doing something stupid. He's just going to make things so much harder for himself. Like the way he's going to destroy the fragile peace he has at school. It's nice to see Brett and Dustin getting along, I think the two of them and Billy will bring some change into this town. Now, for the next chapter. The most obvious thing is that this is where Billy finds out that he's also diabetic. I think that's what it's going to be about, but knowing Jeff, it could also be about the tattoo, and Billy getting the same one as George.

    Chapter 33

There's Jimmy's meddling involved, but let's not forget Billy's own history of "indiscretions". I think part of the problem is that Billy is also projecting his own past behaviour onto Brandon. He's thinking the worst by believing Brandon would do the same thing he did himself.
  11. Honestly, I think Billy Chase is paced better when you read the whole completed book at once. I don't think it's anything you're doing wrong, or that you need to work even harder than you already are (and I would never ask you to), but the style and format you use for Billy Chase just doesn't work as well for single chapter releases. That doesn't mean it's bad, or that you should change anything about it, just that some readers might need to approach it differently from your other stories. The Jimmy thing keeps dragging on because Billy is being stupid in how he handles it, which is in chraracter for him, so I don't really have an issue with it.
  12. Well, first of all, I kind of agree that it gets frustrating to see Billy keep making the same mistakes and never learning from them. But that's what a lot of teenagers do, so I don't have a problem with that.It wouldn't be realistic or entertaining if these boys always got everything right the first time. It's a bit like watching a horror movie and going "DON'T GO IN THERE!!!". I don't have an issue with the pacing, but I think the whole Jimmy situation is getting out of hand, and it's taking time away from other. things that could be explored further. For example, we haven't heard from Sam in a while (I thought he was dealing with Jimmy, but clearly that's not working), whatever's going on with Trace, Simon, and Mr. Franks, to name a few things. There's so much going on in Billy's life, and sometimes it feels like Jimmy's becoming a distraction from everything else.

    Chapter 33

So, Jimmy's winning so far, he managed to drive a wedge between them. What a lying little weasel snake. I get that Brandon lied because he was afraid that Billy would react exactly the way he just did, but he did lie to Billy about it, after that big speech on the need to be completely open and honest with each other. It's a bit refreshing to see Brandon messing up this time, to be honest. I think Billy's being too hard on himself right now, and I think he handled the situation relatively well. Adults get into arguments all the time, and I'm glad Billy showed enough maturity to know where this was going and hang up before making the situation even worse. Hopefully he can stay calm long enough to let Brandon explain himself and see that it was nothing. Billy also needs to show Brandon the photos and make it clear that he fully trusted his boyfriend. I also think that this would be a good time for Billy to tell Brandon the truth about Sam and AJ. I don't think his fling with Sam would be a real issue, but the whole situation with AJ is going to blow up in Billy's face big time. Especially if Brandon talks to Robin and Robin tells him something. Billy needs to be completely honest about everything, because it's only going to make it worse if Brandon hears this from someone else. Like a certain psycho weasel who's trying to break them up and knows about Billy's involvement with AJ. Another great chapter, Com!
  14. I think Dustin is bi too, but mostly leaning straight because of the things he did. It could also be that he's straight and only had feelings for Billy because of their deep friendship. Remember that for the longest time, Dustin thought Billy was the only person to ever love him, so Billy could be the only male Dustin was ever attracted to. I don't think he pissed off Brett, I think Billy was just isolating himself and pushing people away, and wanted to be left alone.
  15. Wow, it didn’t take long for Paula to remove any trace of her ‘beloved late husband’. What a hypocrite... Yet more signs that point to Jack being right about her cheating. With that out of the way... GO DUSTIN!! I’m so glad he got his life back on track and is more like the hopeful Dustin from the first few books. “Why are you afraid? Everybody already knows you’re gay. It’s like the worst kept secret in this town. ” We’ve been saying this for so long, maybe Billy will understand it this time. Somehow I knew Dustin would be the one to knock some sense into Billy and tell him the ugly truths he needs to hear. And I think Billy will heed Dustin’s advice this time, because he knows that out of everyone who talked to him, Dustin is the only one who understands what he’s going through. Dustin's right, Billy needs to tell Brett now. He'll be hurt, sure, but I think that he'll understand Billy's reasons once he explains them to him. Even if he's not happy about it. Say, I've been thinking, we never did find out what was in that coin box, did we? The Resurrection of Billy Roberts: Sounds like Billy is finally snapping out of it. I wonder which can of worms he'll open first, Brett's dad, or Paula? And will Dustin use the goods in his old brain to help Billy out when Jack makes his move? Time will tell...
  16. I think Billy will put big cracks in Dear Leader's Shining Holy Armour of Righteousness, and allow the rest of the town to see what truly lies under it (if they choose to look). Same with the bigshot lawyer and his asshole son (not the "secret" one). While I never expected Billy to take them down by himself, I do expect him to start the chain of events that will lead to their comeuppance. I think Billy will make the first domino fall and watch things unfold.
  17. About Dustin, I'm not sure what his real motives are. I think he heard about B&B's troubles, and he sees this as his big "chance" to get Billy. On the other hand, someone had to be feeding him this information, and I actually think it could be Brett. Brett knows Billy well enough to know that the only person who could get through to him at this point is Dustin. I don't think he's prepared for Dustin stabbing him in the back like I'm half-expecting him to, though. Come to think of it, what happened to Frank? They said Dustin was moving back to live with his mom, not his parents, so Frank would have to be out of the picture by now, wouldn't he?
  18. Isn't it weird how Paula stopped being okay with Billy's relationship with Brett the minute George died? I just knew that's what she'd end up doing. And she marries him a year after her husband's death? It's almost like she really was sleeping with him all along. This whole situation is a disaster in the making. Paula's too blinded by her Dear Leader to see her son is still grieving and needs help, and now she's going to make a bad situation even worse by bringing a man he hates into her home. Someone give that lady a medal! I think she just created a rift between herself and Billy that will never mend. I guess we'll see, but I'm 99% certain that the vanilla douche is as bigoted as the rest of that church. I wouldn't be surprised if Billy actually ran away at some point. As for Brett, I think he's genuinely trying to get Billy out of his current condition, but he's going about it the wrong way. But I can't really blame him for acting the way he does, because he used similar tactics before and it worked then, so why wouldn't it work now? And if I'm being honest, I think the deteriorating relationship with Brett is mostly due to Billy's shitty attitude. It feels like Billy is pushing everyone away, including Brett, so what else is his boyfriend supposed to do? But I also agree with Billy, Brett has always been popular and accepted, so he wouldn't know the struggle Billy has to go through to try to get by in this town. Billy was already a reject before the rumours about him being gay started, so he's coming from a much different situation than the ever popular and charismatic Brett. I fully agree with @droughtquake about things getting better if he comes out. Billy has yet to realise that his sexuality and relationship with Brett is pretty much an open secret by now. If they're already treating him like they know about him, he might as well stop hiding in his glass closet. I'm really looking forward to seeing how his meeting with Dustin will go. I think that if anyone can knock some sense into Billy, it's Dustin. Despite what he said back then, I think Dustin still cares a lot about Billy, and will try to help him if he sees Billy showing some of the same signs of what he went through. Not cutting his hair, pushing everyone away, he's acting just like Dustin in some ways, and Dustin will see this. "Scarred Straight": I think this is either a reference to Dustin denying his feelings and pretending to be straight, or Billy letting his fears cloud his judgment and breaking up with Brett to try dating girls. I think it's much more likely to be about Dustin.

    Original Rift

The fact that the first few paragraphs of chapter 1 seem to imply that Torsten is watching Araziah destroy the world. But it could easily be someone else. I hope Araziah's motives and desires include getting in Torsten's pants, just to see how he goes about fulfilling those desires. As for Theo, I think the Conclave will consider him a traitor because of his lack of results and what he said to Nero. I think he'll be on the run, and his survival will depend on whether or not Torsten will trust him enough to try to convince the Order to protect him. It's also interesting that Torsten didn't tell Lucy about Theo being a dragon, although she could easily figure it out if she stopped to think about it. One person who will not trust Theo will be Araziah, though I'm not sure what his reasons will be. I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of dynamic will develop between Torsten and Araziah. Araziah in school should be fun to read.

    Original Rift

So he finally has a name. From what I can remember in chapter 1, I don't think Araziah's going to end up being one of the good guys, but I could be wrong. I'm actually surprised that Celeste brought Torsten's mother into the loop, that could put the Order's plans in danger. I guess we'll see how she fits into all this. I don't see things ending too well for Theo after this meeting. Especially now that Torsten and the Order know about the Conclave's infiltration of the school. I'm sure that once the other guy gets caught, the Conclave will think Theo betrayed them and they'll hunt him down. I'm not sure at this point whether or not Torsten will trust him enough to try to convince the Order to offer Theo their protection. I guess we'll see how that develops. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of relationship Torsten and Araziah will have (not in a romantic sense, although that could be fun too ), and how Theo will fit into all this. I hope we won't have to wait as long for the next chapter.

    In The Flesh

I'm not sure what I'm hoping for exactly, but based on the previous chapters I'm expecting the dragon to be hostile to Torsten and have a bit of a "stay out of my way" attitude. It remains to be seen whether he'll remember that Torsten fed him and cared for him all this time, but somehow I don't think dragon-boy cares much about that. He may have some level of respect for Torsten, but I don't think there's going to be any friendliness from his part. And I'm a bit surprised that he'd be able to talk so soon after taking human form, I'd expect it would take some time for him to learn. I'm also expecting Torsten to try to hide him, because the dragon can be unpredictable and he'll want to avoid getting too many questions he can't answer. It's not like he can go "Hey mom, this is [name], he's actually the dragon I've been keeping in the shed for the last five weeks. Pretty neat, huh?". He'll want to get help from Celeste in coming up with an explanation for dragon-boy living in their guest room. On that note, I wonder how long it'll take for Torsten to put two and two together and realise that Theo's a dragon too (probably)?

    In The Flesh

It was probably easier to hide a dragon in the shed than to try to hide a dragon-boy inside the house. Let's see how long Torsten can keep him hidden this time. What I'm really looking forward to is seeing how he interacts with Torsten when he wakes up, and maybe finding out his name too.
  23. Shadow086

    In The Flesh

It looks like Torsten won't be able to hide his 'guest' for much longer. I wonder what will happen when he wakes up. Things are about to get even more interesting if these two start to communicate. What part will Theo play in all this, and what will happen to the dragon now? Why did the dragon decide to go in Torsten's basement instead of the shed, and how did it get in there? Events are starting to come together, and thankfully there aren't a ton of new mysteries this time. Another great chapter, and I hope we won't have to wait as long for the next one, I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next.

    Chapter 32

Remember Billy went on the hill promising an honest relationship with truth, then he lied about being with Sam and he lied about anything to do with AJ by not mentioning it when Brandon asked if there was anyone else he had sex with. I guess we'll find out how this turns out very soon.

    Chapter 32

Another great chapter Com! So we know what Brandon does on Mondays. I can't say I'm really surprised. Now, I do think the pictures are real, but it's not like what Billy's led to believe. Here's what I think really happened: Brandon hangs out with Stevie on Mondays to get him out of his house (remember Stevie thinks those bullies who attacked him are looking for revenge), and he still cares for Stevie as a friend. That explains the first two pictures Jimmy sent, since there's nothing really strange about two friends hugging each other. Then I think Stevie kissed Brandon, explaining the third picture. I think the kiss was part of Jimmy's scheming to break up Billy and Brandon. My guess is he told Stevie that Brandon would dump Billy and take him back if he did this. Either way, I'm sure Jimmy manipulated events to be able to get those pictures. And Brandon didn't want to tell Billy because he's worried about how he'd react if he found out Stevie was still making a move on him. I think this is a simple misunderstanding that's going to get blown out of proportion. Maybe I'm putting too much faith in Brandon, but I don't think he's the type to do revenge cheating, or to cheat on Billy. But I guess we'll find out once Billy confronts Brandon after letting Jimmy's BS get to him.
