  1. After writing a few more chapters, I went back and revised this one, especially the beginning. Rob felt maybe a bit too pushy in the first version, and I wanted him to be supportive and excited about Mark finally considering recording songs in French, without making him feel pressured. What do you think?
  2. hey guys, I've changed the title to A New Chapter because, now that I think of it, it's the new chapter Mark was talking about at the end of the story. I've also changed the description because it's evolving into something more than what I originally intended. I always love discovering how the story evolves as I write it. It's been like this since the beginning. I never really have a clear idea of where it's going; it just sort of evolves on its own. unfortunately, it seems like there are only 5 to 10 readers left max, I don't know. It's kinda sad, so if you're lurking, please say hello 😉
  3. Salle Pleyel - Paris - January 2023 We'd all gone to Paris with Mark for the shows, obviously. None of us was going to miss that. Loads of his friends were backstage too, and we'd been watching from the wings since the start. Mark had just finished Je t'haine, and as much as I'd been glued to him the whole time he was performing it, I wanted to get out to the sound desk before he started Yellow. Alicia was waiting for Dylan to come backstage, and Damon and Rachel we
  4. @VBlew Thank you again for commenting. I wish more people would too 😆 The Albert Hall is iconic, but I think it was just a bit too much for Mark. It's more than twice the size of the Palladium, so it scares him straight away. He just knows a concert there would attract a lot more press, journalists, important people turning up out of curiosity… It would make the whole thing a much bigger event, and that's a lot of pressure for him. The Palladium feels a bit more like the Olympia in Paris, you know? Still a big deal, obviously, but maybe a little less intimidating for a solo show in London. And haha, I kinda still want to write a sex scene! 😂 But at the same time, I've written so many between these two already that I don't want to repeat myself. It's always fun to write them, though, but since they were both tired in that scene, I was like, well, it'd just be sex before falling asleep, nothing very original. lol Glad you didn't feel it was missing!
  5. @FanLit why did you love the comment, does that mean you saw more than you should have 😂 well if you did, never mind, I'll probably post it soon anyway
  6. @FanLit Me too 😂 I hope you've read the right version! Also, for a few minutes, I copy-pasted my text to make the changes and ended up posting more than just this chapter, so I hope you didn't see that either! 😂
  7. Oops, sorry if you clicked on it right after I posted it, but I made a few changes because I'd forgotten they were supposed to be in the States! 😂
  8. MAY 10th Almost a week after Libre came out, we had a video call with Richard to go over the numbers and talk about the live shows. Richard had been working with Mark at BMG for a few years. He was involved in the French releases but he did a lot more than that. He was the person connecting Mark with the label, the promotion team and everyone else involved in the project. “Everything good, Mark?” Richard asked. “Everything good, yeah.” “Right, so… let’s look at the numbers. R
  9. Yes, just having fun! I love writing all this whenever I have a bit of free time. Why he was so nervous? Because he always is about releasing his own music, especially when it's such a personal song. And because it's not just one song, he's got more to come, so this one kind of set the tone. And why he drank so much… well, letting go, I guess. 😅 And because there are also little hints here and there about what happened to him, especially in Rob's worry… And Damien… come on! 😂 It was just fun to bring him up again, and the timing felt perfect for him to show up again with all those feelings for Mark resurfacing.
  10. MAY 4th “Oh my God, my heart is racing,” Mark told Rachel as they stood by the computer we'd hooked up to the speakers. Libre was being released at midnight in Europe, which meant it was six in the evening for us in Miami. He didn't want to be alone for the release. He knew he'd get stuck in his own head, thinking about the song, the reactions, whether people would like it, so we'd decided to have a party and surround him with people he loved. Everyone was there. We'd t

    APRIL 2026

Thank you for your comments! 👍I'm really happy you're enjoying these little glimpses into their lives just as much as I enjoy coming back to them and finding new things to write about. And especially Mark, who's doing something so different and so personal with his music. I find it refreshing and really interesting to write about, and as long as I'm having fun with it, I'll keep doing it! And yes, there might be a few little hints hidden here and there about what happened to him in 2021. I'll get to that eventually, but right now, I'm enjoying writing about them as they are now. It's not some huge mystery, though. It's more a part of something that happened to him that I haven't really explored yet. There's still quite a bit of their story I'd like to explore, both in the present and in their past. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment. It makes writing about them even more fun and worthwhile if you have instagram or tik tok, the inspiration for the video in the car comes from the one Loic Nottet did: https://www.instagram.com/p/Dd1luzVN28q/
  12. APRIL 2026 I set the camera on the table and Mark plopped down onto the sofa. "Is it on?" "Yeah?" He looked at the camera, adjusted himself slightly, then took a breath. He smiled and switched to French. "Hello everyone! Well, first, I hope everyone's doing great. I hope you're all happy and well." He paused as he searched for his words, and I just looked at him with a smile. "So, I think it's happening… what you've been waiting for… I'm releasing a new so
  13. @VBlew can you see the video and listen to the song or it isn't available for you either? Honestly, I think everything Loic does is pretty damn sublime. 😄 I think I'll go and see him live when he goes on tour. Can't wait! At least I should be able to get tickets. Still waiting for my fucking Oasis invitation. 😭
  14. I was saying that Loïc Nottet released a new song. He’s the artist who actually wrote Monsieur/Madame ... like, in real life 😆 And the lyrics to Monsieur/Madame were like 95% perfect for Mark, so I barely had to change anything. With this new song, I’ve had to rewrite quite a few more lines, but somehow it still feels like something Mark would have written himself. 😂 Honestly, almost everything Loïc writes fits Mark so well! 😆 and what do you mean the video is not available in the US, how is that possible? Trump? 😂 how about this one? or this one?
  15. Je sais pas toi [I don't know about you] Mais moi j'ai peur [But I'm afraid] Du monde qui tourne autour de nous [Of the world that's turning around us] J'ai peur de faire des erreurs [I'm afraid of making mistakes] de perdre pied, perdre tout [Of losing my footing, of losing it all] La vie à mes yeux devient floue [Life is getting blurry in my eyes] J'suis perdu, j'deviens fou [I'm lost, I'm losing my mind] Mais je sens qu'on nous dépouille [But I feel like they're stripping us bar

I know you don’t speak French, but Loïc Nottet is releasing a new song on the 25th… I’m pretty sure it’s going to inspire me, so I’m waiting for it in case it gives me some new ideas. 😄 I see so much of Mark in him. 💙 He posted this video this morning, and yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to what he's got to say. His short Sienna Spiro cover 💙he did an even better one in his bathroom !

    Down Memory Lane

Yeah, maybe, but I don't think many people even remember the story on Lit anymore. I'll probably just end up feeling like an idiot. 😅 But, as I've said before, I enjoy writing it for myself first, so we'll see what comes.

    Prologue

Hope you'll enjoy the additions then 😉 start with chapter 5, mark goes back home. I like it, I don't know why I didn't think about adding a scene with his family when I first wrote it.
  19. 😄 They were actually hard to make because with A.I they end up looking too different from one picture to the other and it's not what I have in mind but well, you get the picture, literally 😉

    The Voice

    @ziggy maybe, maybe...
  21. @ziggy No, you're not way off. But I'll let you read the rest. 😄 Glad you looked up the song and the lyrics and liked it. And yeah, Loïc's great. He's so adorable and talented, and so underrated, even in France. Probably because he's Belgian. He makes me think of Mark sometimes. (One thing that's a bit different about him though is that his voice never broke, so he can do amazing things with it.)
  22. @ziggy 😄Really? I did leave a message on Literotica just to let readers following me know that I wrote new chapters but I didn't think anybody had actually seen it. Honestly that site is doing my head in because I wanted to update the existing chapters because I've added a few things to each of them (I mention it in the prologue), but editing chapters over there takes months. It's so fucking frustrating. Here on Gay Authors I can edit whenever I want, so I thought I'd post the new chapters here first and see what people think. I might update Literotica one day, but honestly I'm not even sure these chapters really belong there. It's not like I didn't write a sex scene in each of them, as always, but I don't think that's what they're really about anymore. There hasn't been much reaction though here, so thanks for taking the time to come over here and comment, that's really cool. Apart from a couple of readers, I don't really know what people think of the new chapters, but at the same time if they didn't like it, I think I'd rather not know 😆 at least, I've really enjoyed writing them. These characters have always been my little escape whenever I'm bored.

    Down Memory Lane

@FanLit Thank you! 👍 It was a fun and compelling chapter to write. I kept thinking that I was basically just writing about things I'd already written about, so I just tried to make sure it wasn't boring and was still fun to read. August 2021 might be difficult to write, and sometimes I seriously wonder if it's worth it. But if I feel like writing it for myself, then I will. I'm gonna be honest, I haven't even started yet. Since the beginning of the story, I've never been able to start a new chapter until the previous one was published. I think I need to let go of it before I can move on to the next one.

@VBlew Thanks for telling me you liked, it, you and @FanLit are the only one to tell me, so that's good because I'd probably have lost all my motivations to write more otherwise. To be honest, I almost didn't write this one, but I don't regret it now. I really enjoyed writing it for myself. and no, Rob going to L.A was way before when they broke up in 2017... even I had to check the date... because you know what, I had to make a timeline to keep up with my own characters because even I get lost sometimes 😆 if you wanna know all my secrets, here's my timeline, a bit simplified: June 2008: Mark and Robbie are 18 and U-N-I starts recording its first album in Dublin.
