I missed my characters so I wrote new stories about Robbie and Mark, frontman and guitarist of a world-famous band, as they balance their relationship that’s both private and public. There’s a bit of humor, some teasing and jokes in the first chapter I wrote, and of course their closeness, as they’re so comfortable with each other, even with cameras and fans catching glimpses of their moments. I might write more if inspiration strikes.

Yeah? I thought it'd be nice to show that he moved on, even though in the story I mostly used him to create a bit of tension and jealousy between Rob and Mark. This was supposed to be just a small story, but it ended up being much longer than I expected. I mainly started it to try writing again after five years without writing anything, and I thought maybe readers could still enjoy it even if they hadn’t read the original story. It was really fun writing Damien’s side of the story and getting back to Rob and Mark. It actually makes me want to write more about them, maybe little snippets from their lives instead of full chapters, I don't know. Anyway, I saw that you read the story, so I hope you enjoyed it! It must feel different reading it all in one go, since I took breaks between each part while writing. It was supposed to end at chapter 13… then 21… then 25… but I just kept going.

Hey, Mrsgnomie I’m very, very late to the party, and I actually haven’t read Boss Nanny yet, which I probably should have. When you originally posted it, I wasn’t in a very good place and didn’t really feel like reading (or writing) at the time. I did read your first three stories though, and they were great, of course. I really loved them! I recently came back to the site because I felt like spending a little time with Rob and Mark again So I figured that if I was going to start reading a story on GayAuthors again, it should be one of yours. I noticed you haven’t been connected to the site for a few months, so you might not even see this, but I hope you’re doing okay. I’m really enjoying the story so far and I’m looking forward to reading more. I probably should have started with Boss Nanny first, but since I’ve already begun this one, I think I’ll keep going with it for now, 'cause I like it.

I found these two pictures years ago on the internet so they're not A.I generated. (Mark on the left, Rob on the right) Then, I used them to create more A.I generated ones and it's been fun trying to create pictures of them! I tried to recreate their coming out picture first in Chapter 8 and it's quite good; not exactly how I'd like it but close enough This one is really 100% how I picture Mark And this is how I picture Robbie, a bit older. Just added this: do you think Claire should be fired?😅 He gave a small shrug and after a few seconds, I asked, although I already thought I knew the answer. “You were careful though, right?” “Yeah,” he nodded, “thanks to Claire,” he said with a sigh. “Claire?” “Yeah. She’s the one who dragged me to that party, and when it got too boring, she suggested we leave and go somewhere else. And once we got to the club and she saw how Sam was acting with me, she slipped a couple of condoms into my back pocket. I wouldn’t have fucked him if it weren’t for those. I probably would’ve done the same as you and just let him blow me.” I stared at him. “You’re kidding.” “Nope.” I gaped. “Oh, she is so fired.” Rob laughed, shaking his head. “You know her. She didn’t mean anything by it. She thought she was being responsible.” “Responsible?” I shot back. “That’s not responsible, that’s pre-packing you for bad decisions.” He grinned. “It’s called harm reduction.” “It’s called enabling,” I corrected. “And bitch, I am absolutely not sending you a thank-you card.” Rob let out a short laugh. I asked him a few more questions about that evening, and he answered without hesitation. We ended up talking for a while about Sam, Claire, even Jimmy’s party, Damien, the guy he was with, the twink. He was curious about a few details too. Then I went quiet for a moment, honestly, still turning over in my head what to do about Claire. Rob must have noticed, because he picked up his phone and scrolled through it for a brief moment before standing up and clearing the table.

Just added this to the end of the chapter, I know I'm probably the only one who cares by now but whatever, I love it 🙂 “Can you believe he said, ‘It’s like I’m his dad!’? My head nearly exploded.” “And your dad heard it,” I laughed. “Yeah,” Rob laughed back. “And then I remembered what he’d told me at Christmas!” We both smiled - Rob’s dad was beginning to feel like Bono was edging in on his territory. “I wish ‘The Edge’ would say that to me,” I sighed. “Oh yeah, he could totally be your dad,” Rob responded. “I know, right! And I need one more than you do!” “Aw, babe,” he smiled and gave me a kiss.
