An alpha leaves his pack behind for only two reasons: to die or to find his fated mate. Ryder Asherman, the young alpha of Luna’s Sentinels, must follow the winding road that will take him to the big city, since that’s where his fate awaits. But all his well-laid plans fall through when he realizes that finding his mate in this glass and stone jungle will be far from easy. His fated partner is out of his reach, locked away in the tallest building in the city from where he leads his army of human servants. Ryder will not give up; he must find a way to reach this man, no matter what it takes. (Full summary inside)

Chapter Twenty-Eight – Secret Hater Fez and the camera guy were back at it, and that meant at his place. Jamie took in the duo as he pocketed his phone. All the way from the studio where he practiced he had browsed through the shorts Cottontail had put together for him, posting one and scheduling more for later, as advised by his not-producer. “What are you guys doing here?” he asked. “Do you really want to feel the wrath of my drumsticks?” He knew he was joking, but that didn’t mean t

Control the Narrative
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Control the Narrative
So true. Jamie meant it. And be aware that I like introducing random facts in my stories! -
Chapter Twenty-Seven – Control the Narrative He was ready to make some people’s ears turn red. With a sure move, he grabbed the phone and waited for the call to connect. After all, if anyone had gotten him into this mess, it was Arthur, the guy he had to take this to. Since the day before, with the sole exception being the hours spent in Cottontail’s company, he had felt restless. That needed to be corrected and fast, because he didn’t have time to waste on unnecessary drama. When Art

Chapter Twenty-Six – I Am Afraid Strategizing while slowly caressing the bunny’s rump was his idea of fun. Truth be told, he had expected more resistance and a lot more struggle, but it looked like his friend had turned into a little obedient kitten, as long as he was placed in the right position. “I have a feeling you’re going to enjoy this a bit too much,” Jamie confessed. He received a glare for his audacity to assume such a thing. “Do your worst. Since you threatened me, I am

Are You a Bad Guy or a Bad Boy?
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Are You a Bad Guy or a Bad Boy?
That's only because I got too clever for my own good for a moment there - Wencel is a version of Winchell, so look for the latter. -
Chapter Twenty-Five – Tease Me, Tease Me Cottontail could say whatever he liked about himself and his looks, but that pout was just adorable. “What’s this? I told you we wouldn’t be having sex.” Jamie hissed as his guest brushed his hand rather rudely over his erection. “And who said we were going to?” he countered. He enjoyed Cottontail’s hand on his cock and wanted more of that. This was a battle, and if it ended with someone in tears, he wouldn’t mind. Because the loser wouldn’

Chapter Twenty-Four – Are You a Bad Guy or a Bad Boy? “Why are you getting so hung up on Jamie’s rising fame?” He directed the question at his brother while carefully sipping from his drink. “Rising fame?” His older sibling barely looked at him as he appeared to be engrossed in the news he was reading on his phone. “I’m telling you, this dude’s career as a star is DOA.” “You know, I can’t help but think that you’re taking all of this personally. I thought dad insisted on never get

Chapter Twenty-Three – Training Day “Should I understand from this that you’re no longer angry at me?” Jamie moved his phone from one ear to the other. Everything was happening quickly these days, and he needed – and wanted – a break. Mitch the Voice had even called to ask for a reconciliatory meeting. Jamie had said ‘no’. “I don’t hold grudges,” Cottontail replied from the other end. “I’m calling for a very specific purpose. I had to find out from the internet that you signed for that

I always do plenty of research until I find the names I discover that 'ring' true to my ears!

Chapter Twenty-Two – Horses for Courses “So, Arthur tells me you have experience in building an online presence?” Angus Boyd threw him a shrewd look over his latte. Jamie shrugged while stretching his legs. Janet was a darling, letting him use the coffee shop for his personal meetings. There was no rush hour to worry about, either, which helped. All in all, he should have been perfectly comfortable, but Angus’s first loaded question made him squirm in his seat. “Yeah, you can say

Chapter Twenty-One – Caught in the Act Jamie couldn’t recall the last guy he had been with so reluctant about being on the receiving end of a blowjob. “Is my technique bothering you or something?” he asked, as he slowly stroked Cottontail’s cock. Even behind the mask, he could see what looked like a strained expression. “It’s not that. If you touch me too much, I’ll come. That’s the problem.” “Ah, I see. Then let’s get the pressure off first. Can I finger your butt?” “W-what?

The Man Behind the Man
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in The Man Behind the Man
Interesting, and I was sort of thinking that to be the case. Jamie is hardly in it for the money, but he hopes for fame. -
Chapter Twenty – Ground Rules “So, why did the rabbit cross the road?” Jamie was looking at his guest, wiggling his eyebrows, as they sat across from each other, eating pizza from his tiny coffee table, their legs folded under them, feeling like extras in an exotic movie. Cottontail was carefully angling his slice to bite it without spilling any of the extra ketchup he had loaded his food with. “What?” He stopped with the pizza slice suspended in the air, and a puzzled look on his face

Chapter Nineteen – The Man Behind the Man “What makes a good story?” His brother studied him over his Frappuccino, tapping his extra sugar packet against the table to draw his attention. Great. Just great. He was in for a lecture, and he wasn’t in the mood for it, but if he resisted, his brother would hound him until he gave up. Like a bitter pill, it was better to swallow it first. “A lot of things make a good story,” he answered, without forgetting to glare for good measure. He

Too Close for Comfort
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Too Close for Comfort
Online Vayne is a stage name, he's still Jamie. But that will be relevant a lot later in the story. There are reasons why he denounced his family name. -
Chapter Eighteen – Too Close for Comfort Throughout his entire life, Jamie had been a man of action – or so he liked to believe most of the time, which meant that he didn’t intend to slack now. On Melinda’s promise, he was supposed to meet some important people the following weekend, which meant that his shiner might act as an impediment to making a good impression. He examined his face in the mirror at length, but there was hardly anything he could do about covering it up. That sort of bru

Chapter Seventeen – I’m Okay with Being Used He had no comeback. Jamie had most likely just thrown that out randomly, without expecting to hit a sore point. To hide it, he turned away, his face angled so that nothing could be read in his eyes. As the mask covered most of his features, he hoped Jamie wouldn’t be able to see that he was troubled by that off-hand remark. “What?” Jamie drawled. “Don’t tell me I hit a nerve with that.” “You haven’t,” he denied. “And I’m here for the se

Chapter Sixteen – Use Me Manipulating the bunny boy around was difficult with the pain in his side that seemed to have started acting up like a bitch while the rest of his body was getting horny. It helped that his nurse for free was willing to accommodate him in every possible way, although he was endearingly clumsy. “Are you sure we can have sex with you in this condition?” his guest asked, his eyes wide and shiny behind his mask. “Are you going to ruin my reputation? If I don’t

Chapter Fifteen – Off the Deep End “What the hell is this?” He held his phone up high, pushing it into his brother’s face, the rage storming inside him barely contained. “Why did you have to go and do this? It’s all lies!” His brother seemed not in the least bothered by his outburst. On the contrary, the cocksure smile quirking the corners of his lips spoke volumes. The asshole was pleased, both with what he’d written and his little bro’s reaction. “I believe a picture is worth a

Chapter Fourteen – Closer “Is there anything else you’re hiding from us?” Mitch the Voice scrutinized his every move as they got ready for their live performance. Jamie shrugged. Sure, there was Arthur Kallis, who was also the reason why he’d been jamming with guys like Melinda, but he wasn’t going to say anything about his chance encounter with the A&R guy. His secrets were his own, he decided; from now on he intended to stand his ground when it came to this so-called band of his.

Chapter Thirteen – Good at Hiding “Are you okay?” Jamie asked and reached for his partner to caress his back. “Why wouldn’t I be?” The comeback wasn’t snappy or anything, more like curious. It low-key annoyed Jamie nonetheless. He had expected Cottontail to show that he was at least a bit shaken by the experience. “Cool as a damn cucumber, aren’t you?” Jamie shook his head and then grabbed his partner by the shoulders. The camera was off, the streaming session was over. There was

I don't think you'll miss much by not reading the previous stories. Except for the identity of Xpress - the college gossip rag - having remained an unknown throughout the prequels, and the fact that Jamie knows some of the guys from the previous stories - and that all the storylines take place at Sunny Hill or close by, there's not a lot that connects them. Yep, I think you're safe to read this one without having to go through the others first.

Chapter Twelve – Did We Just Witness Something Real? The mask left enough room for them to make their lips meet. A sensation of pleasant dizziness wrapped around his brain as if he was experiencing the effects of a sweet alcoholic drink. He focused on the taste of Jamie’s mouth, because that had to be the reason for that spicy relish lingering on his tongue. Even if he might never learn the truth about the real source, he needed to explore it deeply. “Are you okay?” Jamie whispered, br

Chapter Eleven – Word of Mouth Jamie quirked an eyebrow as he read the last piece Xpress had written about him. Until now, he had thought that the guy or guys behind the gossip rag were limiting themselves to the campus grounds, but it looked like they didn’t mind going out of their way to follow him. No, not just follow him. Stalk him. That was creepy as hell if he took a moment to think about it. Sure, if the nameless sucker writing Xpress was his one and only Cottontail, Jamie was w
