But as I confessed to you, guys, I re-read Foucault's Pendulum especially to get my mind primed and ready with conspiracies of the Knights Templar, and that is one crazy book that no matter how often I re-read it, I can't say that I understand everything! And Lukas was a genius. Lawrence is highly intelligent and he still struggled to make sense of everything. (And I also listen to the advice from writing gurus that writers should write characters who are smarter than they are...)
