    Ah, thanks for the background on the cartoon! My husband watched it some many years ago and its absurdity amused him, so that's how I caught snippets of it. The mire covering Jack’s front paws was climbing. “This isn’t good,” Jack stammered, his entire body shaking. “It’s like being swallowed by monstrous licorice jelly. I hate licorice.” What could he do? Their enemy did have the essence of jelly – Jack wasn’t wrong – and grabbing it was like fighting ghosts. Ghosts. A single wild idea sprang up in his thoughts. “Ready, Jack?” he whispered.

    I knew I could count on you for the 'unofficial' soundtrack! Yes, that is pretty much the kind of music Ali likes! And there's something to it, too... something that will be revealed later. You're right to see the similarities between him and Jack, because, well, I guess I need my dear chaotic character to help me with the comedic relief when things go crazy. But yes, there is also another part to him, and Lawrence will keep his eyes peeled!

    He is definitely like a fish out of water... But he is also very intelligent, so he'll adapt. Especially since the setting and the people in it will throw all sorts of challenges at him.
