Great minds think alike. Cinnamon for sure. Elijah got the peanutty smell associated with Ashton's favorite cookie. Makes sense to use a snickerdoodle related ingredient for Austin.

Loose ends need tying at this point and Caleb needs to be segued into his story. It's complicated, but so far I'm keeping all the balls up in the air as I juggle. I haven't figured out what Tyler should smell like to Austin. Amy suggestions?

I'm sure the twins will have their moments, but they're well on the way to recovery mentally. Right now their hands are not nimble enough for sign language. Picture them as if they're gripping invisible handle bars. They can't extend their fingers. Vann is going to be a tricky subject. As far as we know he's not aware Caleb is his biological dad. I haven't gotten that far in my head. Asa might pop up in the next story. Significant part? That remains to be seen. I'm still deciding.

It felt right to add Ashtons POV. We'll hear from Austin too. I'm not sure they're ready for "sleeping" together. There are so many unknowns. Caleb's gonna have to wait. I need to finish rewriting the last 3 chapters. Then finish a little side project too. A lot going on in my head right now. Most of it good.

This chapter got a major overhaul when I realized I had to get Ashton (and Austin in the next chapter) to give us their point of view. The boys have been through a lot and it won't all be smooth sailing. But they're on the right track.
