Kyle opened his eyes. The world was fuzzy. Blinking rapidly, he shook his head and instantly aborted that effort when it caused blazing hot needles to pierce his skull. He immediately closed his eyes again. He breathed in slowly, trying to remember what was wrong with him. Kim. Kim was tied up. His eyes shot open and this time the images around him were clearer. His gaze darted around until it landed on Kim’s prone form laying a few feet away. Kyle attempted to move and discover

Thanks everyone for the congrats! I have to admit, that little challenge I think turned out to be my favorite thing I've written so far. It's funny what your brain can come up with sometimes. This was a fun, quirky little story to write. Heading home in a few. The skies are dark, thunder is rumbling and I'm going to be heading in the direction the storm is coming from. Picking up hubby and son and then dashing between the raindrops for a birthday dinner. Splurging on Mexican tonight! Have a good evening and thanks again!

@chris191070 What a nice keepsake of your Mum's. Sometimes I wish I had something like that of my Dad's. @headtransplant the particular resident is a rather difficult person on the best day. Rude? Most of the time. Unfortunately with the age group of the community, too many of them have way to much time on their hands and love to meddle. @mollyhousemouse you're right. It's really is none of their business. I had trouble with my wedding rings after I had my first son... kept breaking out on my finger. I couldn't wear them for almost 15 years. Hormonal I think. That's part of why my necklace means what it does. @spyke Not sure if I'm a better person. I've just learned that some things are just not worth getting upset over. Yes, I was mad for a few moments, but realized I just had to move on. I'll keep doing me. It's what I know. @MichaelS36 I think that the symbolism of the 'collar' in your lifestyle is something wonderful. l've had this chain since 1986. Other than a 3 month breakup while still in college, I've worn it nearly every day. It's a constant connection to my husband. Thanks for the comments. I was just blown away by the outright audacity of this person. It make me wonder if it's truly outright rudeness or if they're starting a decline in mental status, which is common (this person is over 80). I'm still going to wear my chain and my wedding rings. I might change out my earrings 🤔. I also ordered myself a couple of anklets as a birthday present. Enjoy the rest of your evening!

I'm not sure if I should be mad or if I should just shake my head and laugh. I'm probably going with the latter, but there's still part of me that's going wtf? At work today a resident commented (rather rudely) that I always wear the same jewelry. Okaaaayyy. I get where this person is coming from. I wear silver stud earrings and my wedding band and engagement ring. I also wear a silver curb chain necklace all the time. This was the first Christmas gift my husband gave me when we started dating. It has just as much meaning to me as my wedding ring. Which I told them. The resident had the audacity to say "Well that's weird." Ummmm.... what the hell does one say to that? I just smiled blankly like an idiot with an IQ in the single digits until they left. Weirdest conversation ever. So it got me wondering. Does anyone else wear something all the time that has sentimental value, or am I too attached to this necklace?

Lex and Ian have been pretty quiet. They occasionally wave across my brain cells. Pipe down. The shifter story got a couple of new chapters, but still has a way to go. P.s. your "I" is not capitalized 😆😋🤭

Sometimes characters are just there. Lex and Ian never shut up. Their story sort of cruised right along. Jarren and Nash were a little more stubborn and needed some prodding. David and TC were challenging to understand their dynamic. Characters fuel the writer, at least for me. If I didn't write then they would just be voices in my head. That's a little scary.

The Amish market I go to has a lot of odd shaped produce. They usually have a few racks of stuff that's discounted. I've gotten some freaky looking potatoes before. Tasted just like the other ones. Oddball carrots and zucchini are frequent occupants of that rack too. I guess every region has its own Island of Misfit Produce. 🤪

Cute calendar firefighters? Damn.... might have to go rewrite now.

No such thing as too many cliffhangers!!!

Horn dog Will. I lost count of how many times he did it just in this chapter! He handled leaving Connie quite well, another sign he's maturing. Looking forward to getting an update on Connie in the future. Another straight dude bites the dust....... Will has an amazing track record. Thanks for the new chapter....

And the wheels keep spinning...... I seriously love the conspiracy theories.

I roasted 10 large baking trays if veggies today. I'm hoping they last 2 weeks. My son has finally decided to take eating healthy seriously. I really hope he sticks with it.

I'm really twisted.... But that never crossed my mind. (Does that make you more twisted than me??)😱

Good news.... Greene has a plan and an end game in mind. Bad news.... you need to work on a few more theories.

No cliffies? Never. Why bother writing if you can't enjoy the wrath of your readers?

That explains a lot..... 🤣🤣🤣

You might want to slip a nitro pill under your tongue before you read the next chapter.... just saying.
