On the porch, huh? Is that the best you can do? 😜 This was an extremely emotional chapter, but that's who Elijah is to me. He evokes emotion, plain and simple. I think Kage is enjoying himself in the afterlife. He's free of the loneliness and darkness that encompassed him in this life. I can honestly picture him becoming beasties with Lucifer and pranking the snarky demon.

Elijah has an inner strength few people have. I think him and Reilly have the most in common. They both endured extreme torture- Reilly's being more physical and Elijah’s more emotional, yet persevered. Not many people can get through something like that and remain pure of heart. Kage will love and protect Elijah until the next lifetime they can be together.

"Easy" he says... hmmphf. You try attempting to light a fire under @Mrsgnomie's ass so she'll get a move on Max's story, troubleshooting with Spectrum for almost 2 hours only to discover the settings on your work computer magically were changed while you were on vacation, babysitting a bunch of seniors who forget that with the new year brings a new amount of lot rent and write checks out for the old amount, better yet, don't set up their online payment portal correctly and look at you like you have three heads when you ask if they know what their username and password is for their account. Did I mention editing a 2000+ word chapter for another author, AAAANNNNNDDDD figuring out what direction I want to take the last epilogue in??? Sure. I'll go with easy.
