Chapter 3: Things spiral out of control for Gael.
vanalas posted new chapter in Where Love Lies: Book 1
The morning light streamed through the large dining room windows, casting a warm glow over the elegantly set table. Laughter filled the air, lighthearted conversation weaving through the clinking of silverware and the occasional scrape of chairs against the marble floor. The family was in good spirits, and Natalie was right in the middle of it, seated beside Carlos, her face glowing with joy as she basked in the warmth of their acceptance. Having spent the night in the house, she was being treat- 7 comments

Chapter 2: Trouble in Gael and Carlos' perfect lives
vanalas posted new chapter in Where Love Lies: Book 1
Carlos barely had time to process the kiss before Natalie pulled away, a dazzling smile on her lips as she gazed up at him. “God, I missed you,” she sighed, her voice dripping with affection. “And I definitely missed doing that.” Carlos remained frozen, his jaw tightening as his gaze flickered toward Gael. The sight nearly knocked the breath out of him. Gael’s face had gone so pale he looked almost ghostly, his deep blue eyes wide with disbelief. He wasn’t saying a word, but his silenc- 5 comments

Love is a strange thing. It arrives in different forms, takes different shapes, and often sneaks up when you least expect it. There’s the love that grows slowly, like a seed buried beneath the earth, waiting for the right moment to bloom. There’s the kind of love that lingers in silence, unspoken but felt in every glance, every hesitation. There’s reckless love—the kind that burns too fast, too bright, leaving only ashes behind. And then there’s crazy love. The kind that

The soft hum of an overhead light and the faint scratching of Joel’s pen against paper filled the room as he leaned over a thick file on his desk. His office, a blend of contemporary sophistication and understated elegance, reflected his personality perfectly—smart, organized, and effortlessly charming. Joel looked impeccable as always, dressed in a tailored navy-blue suit that hugged his lean frame, his crisp white shirt slightly open at the collar. His dark, neatly styled hair framed his chise

Echoes of the heart Ch. 16 Comments, critiques and tips are welcome! *** The kids' cries pierced through Jeremy's heart like a dagger. “Daddy!” Oliver screamed, his voice cracking with fear as tears streamed down his small, flushed face. Andrew clung to his brother, trembling, his wide, tear-filled eyes fixed on Jeremy. Jeremy's own breath hitched, his chest heaving as panic took hold. He strained against the ropes that bound his wrists behind his back, his skin b

Leonardo sat on the edge of the hospital bed, a faint smile tugging at his lips as he spoke with Sheila. She stood by his side, her hand resting on his, talking to him, trying to reassure him that everything was gonna be fine. "You’re sure you’re ready for this, Leo?" Sheila asked, concern laced in her voice. “After everything, you need time to recover—not just physically. We all do, but I feel like this is too much on you since you’re the one who got to suffer more.” Leonardo chuckled

I'm so happy to hear that. This story has become a part of my life because I've been writing it for so long and I got attached to the characters as well. Letting it go, will be really hard. I'm gonna miss them, miss writing about them. But hey, there's so much work ahead and I promise you will love them too

Chapter 28: Things seem to fall into place for Carter and Jeremy.
vanalas posted new chapter in Echoes of the Heart
Two days earlier... * The air was thick with smoke and despair, the orange glow of flames licking at the sky like an unrelenting beast. Carter was on his knees, his body trembling violently as he watched the building engulfed in a roaring inferno. His chest heaved with anguished sobs, his throat raw from screaming Jeremy’s name over and over, each cry swallowed by the chaos around him. The firefighters worked tirelessly, hoses blasting streams of water at the flames, but it was no use.- 10 comments

Chapter 27: Laura is out for Carter's blood. Will she get her revenge?
vanalas posted new chapter in Echoes of the Heart
Laura stared at Carter, her face wet with tears and slick with sweat, her breathing ragged and uneven. Her trembling hand reached out to him, her voice quivering as she asked, “What happened, Carter? What happened to my son? How did he… how did Jeremy end up in that building?” Carter didn’t answer. He stood frozen in place, his gaze vacant, staring ahead as if trapped in some horrible memory. Tears rolled silently down his soot-streaked face, leaving faint streaks of clean skin beneat- 12 comments

Why is everyone hoping Jeremy survived. He died, that's the plot. It wouldn't be echoes of the heart of he didn't and now we're going to move another generation, the kids' -
Chapter 26: Carter's life is in danger. Will Jeremy save him?
vanalas posted new chapter in Echoes of the Heart
The room was quiet, save for the steady, rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor and the occasional hiss of the oxygen machine. Carter sat on the edge of his father’s hospital bed, his fingers laced tightly around the older man’s hand. His thumb moved in small, repetitive strokes over the back of the hand, as if hoping to soothe his father even in his unconscious state. His own eyes were red and rimmed with exhaustion, heavy with unshed tears that blurred his vision. It had been almost two da- 9 comments

Carter descended the stairs, his steps measured and confident, though his expression betrayed the nerves bubbling within him. His phone was pressed firmly to his ear as he walked, dressed sharply in a crisp white shirt with the top button undone, paired with tailored black trousers that fit him perfectly. His hair, neatly tied into a ponytail, framed his handsome face, giving him an air of sophistication that only added to his natural charm. “Did you find anything, Eric?” Carter asked anxio

6 years later.. * The door to the spacious, sunlit office swung open, revealing a much older Joel stepping inside with a radiant smile that seemed to light up the room. Time had only refined his features, sharpening the chiseled lines of his jaw and cheekbones, while his skin retained a healthy, vibrant glow. His hair, a deep chestnut brown with subtle hints of golden undertones, was perfectly styled in a short, modern quiff that made him look both sophisticated and effortlessly handso

The soothing music in the mansion screeched to a halt as Laura’s trembling voice cut through the air like a whip. “A what?” she yelled, her hands shaking as her horrified gaze darted between Jeremy and Carter. The vibrant glow she had moments ago was completely gone, replaced by raw disbelief. “Jeremy, you have to be joking. If this is a joke, it’s the most expensive one you’ve ever made.” Jeremy squared his shoulders, his expression unreadable. His voice was calm but firm as he repli

Chapter 23: Is it really the end for Carter and Jeremy?
vanalas posted new chapter in Echoes of the Heart
Jeremy's lips pressed tightly together, his breath quick and uneven as Dexter kissed him fervently, his hand slipping lower, igniting sensations Jeremy wasn’t ready to confront. Suddenly, Jeremy’s eyes snapped open, and instinct took over. He gripped Dexter’s wandering hand, his fingers tightening with an unyielding strength as he shoved him off. “Jeremy…” Dexter barely had time to gasp before he hit the floor with a loud thud, pain shooting through his side as he winced. His wide eye- 8 comments
