Thanks! I'd forgotten... No, you didn't exaggerate, you are correct. I also dislike it when characters have similar names, or names starting with the same letter - being hopeless at remembering names, I need all the help I can get. I'll take more care about this in future.

Problems, real or imagined, brought out a stubborn streak in Sebastian. After the shock of Con’s revelations about hidden cameras, photos in magazines and on the Internet, and Guapo’s near capture, instead of retreating to the relative safety of more conventional behaviour so as not to attract attention, he went further out on a limb and cycled to school wearing nothing but his skimpy running shorts. The fresh air rushing over his loins was so invigorating he decided to take Reggie for a long na

Rex, Reginald,.... Is there another argh... name JeffreyL? Poor Desolé, snapshot... don't you have any pity for her plight? What do parents have children for if not to provide for them in old age? They're like money in the bank - so now she's going to cash in her term deposit. Ah, Wesley... but think of the pleasure Con got from dumping her - surely that was worth all the preceding crap? Teetering indeed... Canuk - everyone racing blindly to extermination - or whatever awaits. I don't think of it as invention - it's just stuff I get from watching TV news - the usual human interaction - dog eat dog - laissez faire capitalism taken to it's logical conclusion.

No one was home when Sebastian arrived, so he showered, did his homework, and after putting together an appetising sandwich, made a casual circuit of the garden. Apparently distracted by his chewing, he surreptitiously worked out where a camera must have been to take the photos of him and Guapo beside the pool. A sprinkler at edge of a flowerbed seemed larger than normal. He felt the soil nearby, nodded his head as if deciding it needed watering, then turned on the sprinklers and wandered back t

Oh very cutting. Yes!!!! you clever boy! My iMac does the same thing! How utterly wonderful... all those years inserting from a drop down menu... Ah. Comme j'étais bête! Ha! that was all done by holding down the keys!

Thank you, JeffreyL - I hope you continue to like them...

Thanks Canuk - I haven't the balls to be too rough on the guys - but I had a ball writing the story. just hope I haven't made a balls-up next chapter.

Oh dear! Do you suffer from acrophobia? I realise I have an extremely elevated intellect, but hadn't realised its effect on others. Next time take a peek instead of a peak and you might not suffer.

Indeed it doesn't Slapshot! You are reading the subtext very well. Let's hope you are wrong. Surely it is 'lucky' Guapo, Wesley? I suppose achilles has Greek ancestry, but I imagine he thinks of himself as a normal Aussie [rhymes with mozzie ] male. Whatever that means.

In bed the following morning, Sebastian impressed again on Guapo the need for extreme caution; he shouldn’t do or say anything that might upset anyone. Jack would be spending part of the day with him, and he seemed a good bloke, but you never really know about people, so Guapo should treat everyone as an enemy until proven otherwise. After breakfast, Desolé was unnaturally bright and cheerful. Sebastian prepared for school, but was unprepared for his mother to walk out to the street with him

I'm pleased you're enjoying the Desolé/Farzbuk duo, I wonder if you've got inside my mind? I'll have to become more opaque. How do you put accents on this comment panel? I have to compose on 'Word' then copy and paste. This time I copied yours and pasted.

"Major Creep Factor" I love it. You're right about Farzbuk - Always out to make a fast buck, any way he can. I posted this yesterday, but it seems to have got lost.

Half an hour after Sebastian returned from school the following day, he heard the garage doors open. Ensuring he was invisible to anyone in the garage below, he watched from the pool pump-house as a car drove down the ramp. The garage doors closed and Jack got out followed by an obviously nervous, naked young man. ‘Jack, I’m sure this can’t be right. I’m perfectly well now and don’t need to spend a week with some snotty nosed teenager. And seriously, you can’t expect me to just go in naked.’

Yeah - they are nice - apart from Boieluv.... but the good times are about to end, I fear...

Excellent - He's also my favourite. Most people can't get over his lack of clothes - equating that with evil...

Fear not... Sebastian's knight in shining armour is about to appear.

Back at the school swimming pool, Jason Boieluv and Rex Trovert were impatiently waiting for dusk to fall. When the last sounds of activity had died they ventured forth and, keeping to the fence-line, made their way to the Principal’s house, an old Queenslander on high stumps, accessed through a gate near the tennis courts. ‘Jason and Rex, isn’t it?’ welcomed Mrs. Noall, apparently unconcerned at her visitors lack of clothing. ‘Come in. Adam’s on the phone, he’ll join you directly.’ She led

Thursday arrived hot and still, a good omen for Sebastian who ran best in the heat. He was looking forward to winning both the two hundred and one hundred metre sprints. Not that there was any serious competition with only twenty senior students in the entire school. Pleasurable anticipation was spoiled, however, when at breakfast his mother chirped, ‘I’ve decided to come and cheer you on at the athletic sports this afternoon.’ Her son looked up in alarm. ‘It isn't necessary for you to come,

No, Wesley, it proves you're a normal, intelligent, sensitive, caring, natural man.... like me.

Thanks for your intelligent insight, Canuk. Yes - I guess it's important to have the "right" body, now that we're inundated by examples of "perfect" [airbrushed/photoshopped] specimens on the internet. Unfortunate;y, a healthy, reasonably fit natural body is no longer considered good enough.

The opinions of Massive Martha’s scrawny anthropologist tumbled around in Sebastian's head all weekend. On Monday he waited till lunchtime and approached the Principal as he wandered the grounds checking for smokers. Mr. Noall was a lean and handsome man of sixty-four, not at all impatient for retirement, being one of those rare people who truly love their work. A distracted frown, brusque manner, and clipped speech preserved his sanity by deterring self-important pettiness, while amusing hi
