The Pequot (a native American tribe in Connecticut) has the Green Corn Festival. When Dennis and I were 13, Dennis' parents took us to it. There was a boy dressed in his costume (buckskin) and his dance was beautiful. So was the boy, too.

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down... Everytime I see the Chippewa word...it makes me think of The Fitzgerald...every November dad played it...Dad was a Coast Guard and he knew a few people who were looking for 'The Pride of the American Side'.
