Grow some balls, Quinn Moore
NimirRaj commented on DomLuka's story chapter in Grow some balls, Quinn Moore
Mrs. Moore apparently bosses not only her son around but her son’s “friend”. Barking orders at Jude and interfering in his life is not acceptable behavior. I thought she was getting a bit more bearable but I knew that couldn’t last. She went from nice yet absentee mother to overbearing & demanding “mother” in a short time. I get why she’d be worried about Jude to a point but she’s going too far. -
Turn Around 03/03: You win some...

Ugh Marissa on one hand might actually not be plotting anything but her attitude despite her claims of being accepting of his sexuality worries me. Mrs. Moore is also going to have questions and things are going to be more complicated which almost sounds impossible. -

Turn Around 02/03: So here we are

Marissa that....I don’t want to use such language on here. Quinn is going to be a wreak after this because he’s clearly still dealing with his sexuality plus his mom could find out from Marissa. First Adam looks like he can deal with it eventually but then you get the impression their friendship could be over, Bree is primarily freaking out that Quinn will steal her boyfriends lol, and now he’s got Marissa to deal with. -
Brad’s and Marissa’s attitudes are oddly suspicious. I mean it weird they don’t care that he’s hanging out with Taylor due to his friendship with Tina as well as the fact it’s likely known around school that he’s gay as he seems likely open about it. You’d think they’d be pumping him with questions or something. I wonder if it’s some kind of act but I’m not certain the end game if that’s the case except that maybe they’re using the adage you get more flies with honey to get into they want about what’s going on with Quinn. I wish Jude would tell Bree that he’s gay. He has a point that her reaction would help Quinn know how she might react if he came out to her and Bree seems really hung up on Jude which while he’s not actually leading her on exactly she’s liable to end up hurt later because he’s being too polite regarding her flirting. He told her he wasn’t interested in dating but he needs to say so again at the very least.

I feel for Quinn. I mean yeah he’s been weird lately but his mom didn’t even know. Now she’s treating him like he’s 5, upset because he almost missed talking to her because he had to use the bathroom after waiting 4 hrs, making his younger sister his keeper, etc... Then there’s his sister who is angry he didn’t talk to his friends during a time he wasn’t even supposed to be home. Then you’ve got his so called friends angry because he’s spending time with someone they don’t like and wouldn’t blow off his mom to talk to them. Brad is like Marissa apparently where everything revolves around him. Those two should definitely date.

I had a bad feeling the councilor was going to react that way. It would be too nice for him to actually receive positive advice from an adult. I’m worried about this councilor’s morality and ethics. What I mean is if he’s known for being homophobic and considers being gay a destructive lifestyle I wonder if he’ll rationalize outing Quinn to his mother at the very least. He’s supposed to report if the student is harming themselves and he might rationalize a “engaging in destruct lifestyle” is harming oneself. Hopefully he’ll keep his mouth shut though we all know it’s going to get out soon. Poor Quinn is going to lose his friends when they find out and his mom...I can’t imagine. She might try sending him to a camp meant to straighten him out, pun intended.

Is it wrong I’m thrilled Quinn punched Brad? I mean I love that he told Marissa off, though everyone will just write it off as jealousy rather than the truth it was. Quinn is likely going to feel guilty later though but I wish he wouldn’t. Ok, maybe the punch wasn’t necessary...but it was satisfying. Marissa definitely needed to hear what he said though perhaps he could have said it more calmly. Still, overall I don’t think guilt should consume him over his actions because while over the top they weren’t necessarily undeserved.

Quinn you wrote in your journal years ago that you thought you were gay and you need to admit that you are. It’s a choice? Quinn you can choose to act straight but just because you pretend to be something doesn’t mean you are. Even in 2018 some still think it’s a choice but I have never felt it was a choice. That’s like saying you can choose your race/ethnicity. Love is love.

Poor Quinn. I mean I’m glad Jude took the initiative but I’m worried about how people will react to that photo, especially Quinn’s mom. Taylor surely plans to show that picture around. Taylor is Trina’s friend but I’m not certain she will be happy about his actions. I’m wondering if Trina will sympathize with him and end up an ally if not a friend. Taylor might try blackmailing him instead of outright outing him, but the latter is more likely. If that hadn’t happened Quinn might have finally accepted being gay but now we’re back at the beginning with denial combined with intense fear.
-
Quinn is in self induced denial. He knows he’s gay but he’s rationalizing why he can’t be. Sadly I get why he would want to lie to himself about being gay. I mean his “girlfriend” is a bit homophobic sounding, his best friend has apparently given the impression he wouldn’t be happy if Quinn revealed he was gay, his mom clearly wouldn’t be. and I’m uncertain of how his sister would react. Sounds like he would lose a lot by coming out, but they aren’t real friends if they can’t handle it. Of course I’m a hypocrite because it’s similar to why I’m not open about my sexuality lol.

As soon as “Oliver” talked to the doctor and left I suspected it was David. Oliver is so naive but Frank irritates me. He implies he’s known or suspected for a while Oliver was actually David yet did nothing. Frank also kept wishing David was free yet he used to fear him a little himself so he should have realized he needed to be there. I’m kinda surprised or stupified that considering Oliver’s personality that they believe he’s David. Surely the doctor of all people would have noticed. I know Oliver has mental issues but I can’t believe how naive he can be sometimes plus David seems to think he’s doing it for both of them yet Oliver is the one locked up now. Of course once they figure out the truth he might be freed so they’d both end up free yet considering his mental state he might get locked up somewhere himself after this fiasco. I feel sorry for Frank more than anyone because he’s constantly being dragged into chaos because of his feelings for Oliver be they friendship or something more.
-
So David is dead and Oliver is psychologically traumatized by it to the point he thinks he’s talking to David when he’s not there. When Mr. Martin mentioned his wife had already killed one son I got suspicious that he existed at some point. One thing I recall from the start of the story is how Oliver noted slight physical differences in their appearance occurring after he fell/had his accident which thinking back doesn’t make any sense if David isn’t real as Oliver would have likely imagined him as an identical copy with no difference in appearance. The camera skills also was something I reflected on when the split personality concept came up initially because on one hand I suppose people with multiple personalities or split personalities might have different skills depending on the personality one would assume both would have been skilled with a camera yet only David supposedly was.
-
If the split personality story is true the blackouts make sense. I mean it fits together perfectly except split personality or not they are abusing their child plus striking “David” with the candleholder was not in self defense. He was going to tell Frank about the abuse and his mother decided that knocking him unconscious was the only way to stop him. I’m didn’t like the way Frank just walked away from Oliver as while I know he was confused clearly their story is flimsy when it comes to locking him up plus obviously the bruises he had at one point weren’t inflicted by his brother if his brother technically doesn’t exist. Hopefully Frank will realize that there’s still abuse going on and that seeking help is worth the risk of Oliver/David being sent to a mental hospital.
-
Hmmm I’m curious about a few things. First is the fact that when Frank was initially kissing Oliver he noted it seemed like Oliver was experienced in kissing. If he has no friends or anyone to hangout with then how could he be experienced in something like kissing which requires 2 people? Maybe that 1 neighbor boy who seems to hate him? Next thing that I’m curious about is when Frank stopped by the Martin’s and David said Oliver wasn’t home where was he? He’s not supposed to just leave so was he with his parents or did he go somewhere else? Finally I’m recalling how Frank noticed he seemed to be rhe subject of all of the photos David took of his family and that David called him photogenic. Was David interested in him because he was simply a new boy he thought he could be friends with or is he attracted to him as well? Seems unlikely that both brothers despite being twins would be gay but anything is possible. I don’t like David much but I hope Frank helps him.
-
David David David I haven’t liked you much from the start and my opinion of you is only getting more negative as time goes on. There’s a chance that they’ll be a twist & David won’t be behind the photograph, that he’s not behind killing the cats as I expect, etc...yet his attitude especially towards his brother does not endear me to him. Yes, his life is terrible but that doesn’t mean he has to be a bad person himself. I’m also thrilled with the lazy and perverted sherif. I mean I can see him thinking it was a prank or just some bored teen at first yet he just wrote off the suspicious figure he saw because he didn’t want to deal with it. I know it’s a small town but Mayberry it’s not.
-
I was hoping that Jessica would acknowledge something was wrong was going on from the way the Martins acted around her as she seemed to find it suspicious but they successfully made her believe that they are loving parents. Now she believes Frank is imagining things or overreacting when sadly at one point I thought she might agree with him. Now David is snapping pictures of a girl changing? He really worries me as I don’t like the path he’s on. Yes his family is cruel but I’m worried it’s leading him down a dark path. Peeping at his age isn’t that horrible all things considered but I still think he’s likely behind the cats being killed which combined with his dark attitude has me concerned.
-
Ugh horrible parents and I’m guessing David is killing the cats. The thing I don’t get is why David feels he’s the unwanted one unless he got the impression that they only wanted one child yet got surprised with twins though I still don’t get why he’d assumed he’s the unwanted twin. I mean David is for lack of a better term the normal one, except the cat thing if my suspicions are correct, so if he didn’t act out he would likely be the more liked son as his parents seem like the type that would favor him over his brother as cold hearted as that is. Of course I’m making assumptions based on limited info and I’m thrown why Mrs. Martin doesn’t want Oliver to have a friend because I thought she’d be thrilled someone was being nice to him.
-
I was worried Allan would end up the one dead but he was determined so this was always a likely outcome as well it was revealed he had that gun. I wish he hadn’t dub because it was self defense and if Travis spoke up plus his age he probably would have gotten off lightly. Now though they’ll likely spin it so he’s a cold blooded murderer.

This story was perfect. It had many twist and turns to keep you interested along with an amazing cast of characters. I hope Owen & Aiden stay together as their love seems to be the real deal though as stated by Owen we don’t know what the future holds. I figured there was more to the story regarding Nicky and was mildly annoyed when Owen didn’t have a confrontation at the drive-in so I was thrilled when they worked things out. I’m nosy so I wish Owen had pressed Aiden for details about what he and Nicky talked about lol. I also kinda wish Nicky had confronted his parents maybe with Aiden and his brothers by his side though I understand why he didn’t. His parents got off easy and in the end even after sending him to the hospital screwed up his life even more by keeping Nicky away from Owen. I wish karma had come back to bite them but maybe it will. Hopefully Owen’s father’s drunk tirade got around and made him a pariah at the very least.

What’s with Reilly Chesley?
NimirRaj commented on DomLuka's story chapter in What’s with Reilly Chesley?
I’ve got a feeling Dennis is deep in the closet. He seemed to start avoiding fighting with Owen for the most part when Aiden was outed and Adam told Phil that Owen was gay. I think this is throwing him for a loop and making him reflect on himself. I could be wrong but obviously something is going on with Dennis. -
I kinda wish Owen had told Janie that he was Aiden’s boyfriend or just simply reminded her his brother was gay as most people he’s met seem to already know that little fact. Mentioning his brother or even his friends who happen to be gay would have allowed him to tell her off about her homophobic comments while letting her know he wasn’t a homophobe like her without necessarily outing himself.
-
Why are there so many stories where no matter what people do if they’re family they ignore it to a point? I get people love family regardless of mistakes but there are limits. I mean they say that they can’t tell the police what their dad did to Owen yet why? I know they’re family but it’s not like there’s any love lost there. I’d have definitely told the police what happened. I’m assuming the reason Owen didn’t was in part because he didn’t want to talk about his sexuality, which I understand yet I couldn’t let anyone even my dad just walk away after doing that to me.

This story was full of unexpected twists and great characters. Like many I kinda expected a Rory & Luke pairing plus I’ve read enough stories with cheating drama that I almost expected something physical, if only a kiss, to eventually happen between them before the story ended. I know the kissed technically but it wasn’t exactly a passionate moment. I really loved Luke’s character so on one hand the fact they’re a family would have me worried about the possible tense atmosphere if they had dated yet failed to work while at the same time Luke would have been a great partner for Rory personality wise. Seth is great though and I think everything worked out the way it should. Kinda strange though that both of potential love interests and the one Rory ended up with were both exes of Aaron, though both were the best to understand how Rory was feeling after breaking up with him. I am a lot like Rory where I don’t know how to feel about Cody as while I don’t think anyone deserves what happened to him I don’t feel a lot of loss as a result of his death. I mean he’s a fictional character but if he had been like-able I would feel something about his death. I almost expected Luke to end up back with Aaron at the ending with some hope that the tragedy made Aaron remotely worthy of Luke, though I wouldn’t have been too supportive of the pairing regardless of how he may have changed.
-
I honestly did not see that coming. I mean in hindsight Luke was irritated over how obsessed Dave was with Angela but I didn’t see him liking Dave that way. Yeah, definitely unobtainable though then Rory gets hit with another twist since Luke apparently is attracted to him.
