For dinner tonight I made myself beans and scrambled eggs on toast, followed by a home made fruit salad.
(No added sugar baked beans, free-range eggs, and home made wholemeal bread.)
We had a beautiful day here. Continuous sunshine and no wind whatsoever. Hopefully there's more days like this to come.
I spent most of the afternoon continuing to tidy the new garden, and have really made a dent in the briars and brambles. I reckon one more session like today should finish that job. Then it'll be a case of getting the strimmer out to clear all the other weeds. I'll need to use the blade the first time, as the remaining short shoots of the briars and brambles would probably just ruin the cord if I were to use that. Actually, I doubt the cord would even work for the first cut.
Think I'll go and prepare dinner. Maybe getting away from the screen for a while will help get the image of a lactating clochette out of my head...
Some nice thoughts from @Headstall in the latest Ask an Author blog entry, where five different GA authors answer the question "Are there themes that can’t seem to let you go? Ideas that you never seem to tire of exploring?"
Well said, my friend!
I'm considering a tip to the barbershop as well. Not been for a long time, and it's got to the stage where I have to tie my hair back. Seriously considering getting it cut back.
Dia duit, duine Francach! Táim go maith, go raibh maith agat. Agus tú féin?
Bonjour, Français! Je vais bien merci. Et toi?
Hello, French person! I'm good, thanks. And yourself?
Hi, clo!
Mixed sort of day here. Bright sunshine and lots of scattered, heavy showers. High of around 6°C (43°F) but a strong wind made the real feel to be about minus 2°C (28°F).
Still managed to get a bit of outside work done between the showers.
