Hey yourself, Thorn!
No problems giving the samples. It's just a routine check-up. I'm sure the doc will be happy with the results when they come back.
How's yourself today?
G'day, young Albert!
Sorry, can't stay. Fasting overnight (blood tests tomorrow) and have the munchies. Heading to bed now before I give in to my cravings.
Night all!
Random thought of the day...
Strange how sometimes I put off reading a story simply because the title didn't appeal to me - and then, when I do decide to read it, wonder why it took me so long to actually start reading it....
Actually I wasn't 100% sure your use of the word clicking was referring to my photography or to me clicking the Like button as I was binge reading....
And you do realise you have now interrupted my binge read by making me switch tabs to read your reply...?
Often, in Ireland a poster for an event will have something like "Starting at 8 p.m. sharp" written on it. Everyone knows that that means they'll be early enough if they get there by about 8:45 ...
Hey right bakatya, Thorn!
Dublin (at least as far as I am concerned) is okay for a visit. Maybe for a meeting like yesterday, or to attend a concert or the theatre. Wouldn't want to spend too much time there, though. It's just too big and busy for my liking. When I do visit I'm always happy to leave again to get back to the slower pace of life of where I am living nowadays. I feel more in tune with the natural world with the mountains and the lakes around me.
"Clicking" !! ??
Heathen! I don't go out "clicking" with my camera. I go out chasing light with it.
Unfortunately today the sky was too clear overhead, with no clouds to be illuminated by the setting sun (and their colours to be reflected by the lake water), and there was a solid bank of cloud on the horizon stopping the actual sunset itself from really being visible on the mountain tops. I'll check the photos on the large screen of my desktop PC later. One or two of them might just be worth keeping...
Not to worry. There'll be other days. And at least I got out of the house for a while.
I'll get back to the story I was reading after I've prepared and eaten dinner. Have an appointment tomorrow morning at the doctor's for blood samples to be taken. Have to fast for at least thirteen hours before he takes the samples, so better eat soon...
The sun's starting to slip towards the horizon here.
Think I'll bookmark where I am in the story I've been binge-reading for the past few hours and head out with the camera. There should be some nice light worth photographing over one of the loughs in my locality....
Catch yous all later.
Well maybe Scotland and the far north of England? They are called border collies, after all.
Mind you, a lot of what is now in the far north of England was once part of Scotland. The English historically tended to lay claim to lands that they didn't really own.
All good here, thanks.
I was in Cuba in November 2016. Wonderful country! The people were so laid back and friendly. It didn't take me too long to realise why it reminded me of Ireland in a way. Nothing ever happened when it was supposed to. If a tour was booked to start at nine in the morning then we would be lucky if it actually started before ten. "The Land of Time Enough" is a term often used to describe Ireland. The same could be said of Cuba. The only real difference was the sunnier weather and the darker skinned population.
Wow! It seems so trite to say this, but I really didn't see that coming!
Another great chapter, Jason. It just keeps getting better with every chapter.
It's seldom I actually read a story before the final chapter has been published. I started reading this one by accident; mistakenly thinking it was completed. I think it was after binge reading the first four chapters that I spotted that it was still in progress. But by that time I was so hooked that I couldn't stop.
I'm guessing that he was going to complete it with "... let you go."
And I'm maybe second-guessing now by wondering if Nate really does want Greg to let him go....
Temperature got up to around 15 degrees today (yesterday, as it is now past midnight).
That's Centigrade (or Celsius) - about 59 Fahrenheit, for those of you that still use that old fashioned system).
