This is certainly among my favorite building chapters... absolutely no "hate mail" from here!!! March on brother!!! Tom
-
Well that was certainly an action packed building chapter. To say it was engaging would be an under statement. Love the chapter, the story, and being able to participate in general. Tom

Yep, and I'm betting Harlan that in addition to misinterpretation, Harlan isn't used to falling victim to jealousy...

Thank you for another enjoyable chapter. With your engaging plot and characters, I'm always ready to go back to Refuge! And with those open threads how could any amongst us resist? Tom

I loved this story the first time, and love it even more the second time around. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with your readers, allowing us to experience your stories and characters. I definitely look forward to joining you back at the Refuge. Tom

Holy cow!!! I had totally forgotten how the momentum and emotion spiraled in the last chapters... What an incredible chapter! Tom

Happy Spring Holiday to all!! GREAT chapter, loved it. Tom

In the midst of tonight's reading and insightful discussion, it occurred to me how much more comfortable and supportive these stories can be "the second time around". In more normal times the reading and discussions are a great place to join in a couple times a week, but in times when institutions we had largely counted on being equal to challenges are barely able to cope with demands what goes on here can serve as a reminder that well-intentioned intelligent people can work together to accomplish what needs to be done and keep life moving forward. Well not to worry... unlike William and Sandra, the Arkansas contingent won't be on the doorstep tomorrow. Although we're not locked down in-house, hubby has volunteer commitments keeping us in-state for the forseeable future. Too many kids need meals when schools aren't physically meeting.

Great chapter... don't think you need to worry about engagement. It sure sounds like I have plenty of company in being fully engaged. Get some rest... Tom

Why is it I think there is a VERY strong connection between your ongoing concern that we enjoy every chapter in all your stories and the fact that every chapter ramps up my engagement. (And why do I think I'm a long way from being alone in this?) It's also great watching Troy being Troy building his value with William and Sandra. It's like a ray of sunshine seeing a gay "in-law" being judged on real merit rather than blind prejudice. Tom

Great chapter, loved it. A bunch of intricate interactions in motion. How will all these interactions affect the plot and outcome of our story? Tom
-
Yep, here in Little Rock, too.

This was another in a succession of outstanding chapters, but WAY beyond that it is one more that supports the case for Wayne deserving an award for being an incredible author as teacher in humanity and social diversity. And beyond that, the reader discussion interaction plays a key role in supporting the learning experience. This community makes my college lit. classes seem lame by comparison. Tom

This is truly an incredible chapter. So many things happening on so many levels, and so much to wait for things to move forward. Don't think I've said how thoroughly invested I am in this story... Maybe now would be a good time. Tom

Sometimes it really is a luxury to have folks with whom you can just be honest and not have to talk about life like you have rose colored glasses. There really are some of us out here who have enough life experience to hear the truth and process it without judgement. Hang in there. Tom

I enjoy watching two people in love... but what about MAMA, is the love train heading for a rock slide around the corner? Tom

Oh hell yeah.... my kinda str8 guys!!! Tom

Wow... what an incredible chapter. A number of seemingly diverse story lines converged, and we emerged with a positive resolution that provides the base for moving forward. Tom

WOW... Great chapter. Loved every second of it. Have to admit though, have never seen straight guys carry on like Brian and Aaron. Maybe someone can explain that to me. Tom

Great chapter, Wayne. I will restrain myself and not go into other possible MIG therapy options... Tom

Grant goes into overload from the group's attention, and flees... Then "Holy Crap, it's the bear at the door!" What an emotional cliff hanger. Tom
