Victor and I spent most of the afternoon together in our room, we watched a movie or two and then when we got bored we went to the nearby town to check out the holiday market. We even visited Rick’s stall again in the market and bought several items from him, he’s such a jolly guy and it was great seeing him again. We made it back just before dinner, with the rest of the crew that went out earlier during the day making it back in time as well. The excitement in the air was palpable, ev

The next chapter is a little bit longer than usual... so hopefully that would make you happy 😂

I’d like to think that by some sort of Elvish magic that the artifacts absorbed by Chris were later on replaced by very convincing duplicates 😉😂

Chris’ POV I got back to our room from the realm and found it empty. ‘Huh’ I thought, I expected to find Victor still asleep, it was barely just a few minutes after sunrise. I changed my clothes from elvish to the ‘human’ ones I had on and then made my way to the dining room. Dad, Leo, August, Patrick, and Lucy were already there having breakfast. “Anyone seen Victor?” I asked as I took the seat beside my best friend. “I think he’s with Luca, he dropped by the kitchen earlier”

Luca, Victor, and August spent the following hours hunkered down in Luca’s study. It seemed like they were in deep discussion as to how to move forward and address the issue regarding the Anami sighting. Dad, Leo, and I were eating lunch with Hashim when the three ended their meeting. Victor immediately took the seat beside me and gave me a kiss on the cheek, the worry and anxiety that I had been feeling must have been written all over my face for Victor to hug me so tight and whisper “don’t

I was nervous. I was breathing heavily and Leo and Victor were immediately at my side, rubbing my back. “Oh god...he knows...he knows” I repeated, my voice in strained in anxiety. “We can’t be sure of that... right Luca?” Victor asked his sire for affirmation. “I’m sorry Victor...but we already both know that’s highly unlikely” “Shit...shit...shit...” I muttered as I covered my face with my hands. “Chris...relax...we’ll deal with this, Reza didn’t do anything to you ri

Chapter 80 - Vampire Christmas Entering the large kitchen of Luca’s Mansion just before Christmas Eve dinner was a mistake, getting myself a drink from the refrigerator was quite the task as there were more than half a dozen servants either cooking or prepping meats and vegetables. The kitchen smelled amazing, and one of the servants just smiled at me as he cut some tomatoes. After getting my juice, I got out of the kitchen and made my way back to our bedroom. I must have looked ex

We got back to the estate after 45 more minutes of making the rounds across the various stalls at the holiday market. I was still bothered with the sudden appearance of the third house symbol, it’s been weeks since the second one had appeared, and to be honest, given the things that had transpired in the last few days, I’d actually forgotten about these marks, they were nearly invisible, and never really gave me much of a bother except for the times that they appeared on my wrist. Arriving

The sprawling expanse of London started to give way to a more country setting, things became less busy outside, and it certainly felt less urban. “I thought your sire lived in London” I said to Victor. He looked back at me from the front seat and said “well...near London, to be exact” The vampire agent that drove us remained silent throughout the car ride, and I just let myself take in the sights, well the buildings and houses I’ve been seeing outside weren’t exactly beautiful, but being

What could go wrong with an hour long drive? Hehe seems like all the action has gotten you paranoid my friend. 🙄😏 or maybe not. Just to clarify, they did land in London City airport and not Heathrow; and yeah, Stansted is way closer to where they were suppose to be headed.

Chapter 77 - Sire Half an hour later, I noticed that we were approaching the airport. I can see the airport terminal just a few hundred yards from us. However, what surprised me was that the car in front of us, the one Henry and the rest were in, missed the turn towards the terminal and a few seconds later we missed our turn as well. “Uhm...excuse me? Didn’t we miss our turn?” I asked the agent driving us. The agent who has mostly kept quiet during the drive, but somehow

Chapter 76 - Sire After explaining to Victor what had happened in the realm, he seemed to have calmed down a bit as I repeatedly reassured him that I was given the all clear by the Master Healer and am more than healthy. Victor and I ended up cuddling together in bed, breakfast wouldn’t be ready for another half hour or so, so we ended up enjoying each other’s warmth. His hands were caressing my back as I nuzzled my head on the crook of his neck, his scent had a deeply calming effect o

Victor’s POV It’s only been an hour since Chris went off to visit his grandfather and I’ve already started to miss him. I went to August’s large kitchen to prepare for myself some sort of midnight snack. Walking through the corridors and down the stairs, I passed by several vampire and werewolf agents that greeted me with a nod. Entering the kitchen, I make my way to the refrigerator to get some juice. I settled for some freshly squeezed orange juice that Arthur prepared not more

I was alone in the streets of an abandoned small town, the sky was gloomy, the sun hidden behind the dark clouds, all that accompanied me were the empty parked cars that lined the pavement, and the bicycles left behind on the road, the images of blood and gore and the piercing sounds of screams, cries, and never ending pleas for help have stopped. I look around, and it was as if I was just in any other typical mid-sized town in America. I walk around, the air was cold, and the chill of the wind

I slowly opened my eyes, and I found myself in the room Victor and I had been staying in while in August’s compound. I felt a light pounding on my head and I felt slightly warm. The window shutters were shut, but I could sense the sun was out. I moved a bit and I heard a deep unfamiliar voice ask “Is he awake?” “Calm down and let me see” said a familiar voice, it was Leo. My best friend came to my side, sat on the bed and felt my head “good, your fever is breaking” he smiled at me. I smi

Well... in my head, yes, Chris could have just have done it over with right from the get go, but he’s not really confident to use his powers to knock them all unconscious OT turn all turn to ash while people are running around, most likely he’ll end hitting an ally as well, Chris’ control might be better than before but he’s far from having it all sorted out, so he was only able to turn them to ash and stuff when the fight was over and most were already rounded up or unconscious, less mental effort for him to differentiate the good from the bad. Also, August’s compound is huge, doing so most likely would have damaged the mansion if of not completely flatenning it. Also, being angry or being in a highly emotionally state does help him pull out some more energy but we’re not sure yet if that’s a good thing. And yeah, I think deep inside he wishes he could save them all, he’s rather have them rehabilitated than killed but the images of the death of humans he’s seen certainly made him change his mind this time around. Not sure If this will make Chris more decisive in the future regarding keeping people alive or not. And as for the wound, well... I’m working on the next chapters to address that 😅😉

Just a few minutes after 8pm, Victor said “Terrence is here”, as with our sensitive hearing we heard a car pull over and park in the parking lot outside the mansion. Victor, August, Leo, and myself went outside to greet the vampire governor. “Welcome! it’s been a long time hasn’t it?” August greeted and hugged the tall black vampire. Terrence looked to be in his mid thirties, had short hair, light chocolate brown skin, and had a smile that would sweep you off your feet; he had a smooth face
