Oh, I didn't know you guys get notified about updates, it was supposed to be a sneaky edit... there's a mention of a pool next to the house. It used to be inflatable, now it's a regular, medium-sized pool. That's it I've been on a vacation and then a bit sick, but there should be a new chapter very soon.

1. Michael 2. Maggie 3. Liam 4. Patrick 5. Brody 6. Mike. Six people on board if my maths is correct So many chapters but it's been only a few days for Mike and the gang. The next day is Sunday, so hopefully this will give the boys more time to enjoy themselves. 3k-6k words chapters are the sweet spot for me and that's what I'll aim for. It's probably the combination of all of the above. I neglected the twins a little bit, maybe I should make some of their friends come over next time. No worries, I'll keep them coming!

There is absolutely zero evidence for Liam doing anything naughty in the shower. Maybe he just wanted to get extra clean?? They'll dry out in no time : ) I'm just a simple man, I apologize 😋 ALLEGEDLY! Short chapters like this will be an exception and not a rule. This part just didn't really fit into chapter 7 or 9. Also, I didn't want to keep the boys blue-balled for too long. It's been, what? Over 24 hours! There was a little bit of drama early on, but I agree - other than that I'm with Mike - Liam's folks seem pretty chill. Teenagers these days... they'll find a way to rebel against anything.

I just got up to speed with the comments. You guys never disappoint with your ideas, theories and insights. I love sitting down on a Sunday afternoon like this one and reading through them. A real highlight of my day, haha! I'm very thankful, and I wish I had more social energy to interact with everyone and other stories here... I'll try to do better! Keeping readers excited about a story is hard, but from my experience, keeping myself interested can be even harder! That's why I (almost) never do third person omniscient narration. I really admire writers who can do it well. Maybe it's a question of discipline. But yeah, I'm not going to change. At least we can all look forward to major reveals together :)) And thank you for the names suggestions. Since I don't live in an English-speaking country, I can never tell if a less common name sounds "right", old-fashioned, goofy, or just out of place. What I usually do, is that I google popular names at the time when a character was born. Fun fact, not a single person in the UK was given the name Nigel... since 2020! I can relate, because as popular as my real first name was in Poland in the late '80s, it's become pretty rare in the '20s. Inevitably, some names get labeled as "old people names" 😫. I did not see this coming. So, so sad. I discovered his writing fairly recently thanks to @weinerdog, and I remember sinking in for hours and hours. Not many authors can match his immersive and emotional narration paired with captivating storytelling. I will miss his presence and grieve over his unfinished stories. End of an era.

That's my secret. I let my characters surprise me. My guess may be an educated one but it's still a guess, and time afrer time it turns out to be wrong. And I love it! And it looks like he's starting to enjoy itm, even if he senses it's supposed to be Liam's job.. I'll try to give the twins someone to play with in the next chapter. And I do love Carol. Damn, you guys are making it a hard choice!

Thanks for noticing. My guess is that Liam just came up with this deal hmself to let Mike do things at his own pace. Not that his hints were very subtle, but hey, he tried. The twins are kind of self sufficient... and a bit annoying too. Their best friend was Liam, not so long ago. They totally should find a replacement. Or maybe...

Deep inside, Mike was torn that he couldn't be alone with Liam. But Maggie counted on him... True that! Mike doesn't want to appear disrespectful, and as much as he'd like to feel at home, his home is where his heart is, if you know what I mean. Fingers crossed things go just like you say they will :3

Abigail is already kind of taken but I do like it! Mike was taken too and then Liam's dad just snatched it for himself. Foster... I see what you did there. Liam York, Maggie York, Brody, Patrick, and Michael York. A strong contender.

Maybe stop working so much, eh?? Thanks so much, as always. I must be a very talented writer because half of the time I don't know what I'm doing. Like, any chapter I expect you guys to be like "whoa, that sucks. what happened?" Impostor syndrome much. Mike maybe likes to be subdued but he doesn't like to be controlled. If it makes sense. And he has a great sense of responsibility, even if it's just developing. This could be a little frustrating for Liam, who seems to be way more careless... let's see what happens next.

I do sense a pattern! though if I was to pick a side, if you know what I mean, I'd have to change Liam's name to Damon. I do like Tina! When it's finally going to happen... 🌋
