After all, I’m ready to ultimately agree with Einstein’s general relativity. With Liam on top of me and our lips glued for… that’s the point, I don’t know how long, I feel like in a time bubble. Like if the time has frozen, and as long as we kiss, it won’t move by a single second. Or maybe it’s the world that has frozen and we’re moving at the speed of light, and when we stop, it will be the year 2350, or something. I don’t know how it works, alright? Liam is an amazing kisser, too. Especia

Totally agreed, let's all forget about it and move on. Yeah, Olivia must know. I wonder what about Liam's male friends. Liam went from "get out of my room" to "hey, where are you going, come back!" in a record time. I still can't get over people reading my stuff more than once. The pressure is too much! Anyway yeah, let's hope for real bad traffic on the way from the airport 🤞 Thank you, thanks so much! I'm not great at poetic descriptions, so it's good to hear you were able to paint the picture for yourself Mike sure deserves some happiness for once, so let's hope it lasts.

I googled it and felt immediately rick rolled Good question, good question. If she does, then it was so thoughtful of her to put Mike in one room with her hot son. Bravo! Very sweet first kiss, hope there's many to come 😘

And rightfully so, you know teens can be mean. Mike took a chance and it backfired... hopefully it won't this time, or he may hide in his shell forever Chapter 6, could be worse! Or maybe they should split the twins. They could be easier to handle separately. I was hovering my mouse over the "publish" button, waiting for you to go run your errands :3 Sorry! I think there's only one way Chapter 7 can start, right? I've had a plan on how to have them mention the G words for a while. It's coming soon! Yeeehaw! That sums up the next chapter.

I meant "a little more patience" literally 🤭

The sound of someone emptying the dishwasher downstairs wakes me up. Liam is still sleeping soundlessly, facing away from me. Just like last morning, I feel guilty and really stupid. “He totally started it. It's not my fault,” I think to myself, and it does bring some comfort. But only some. I realize I have no other choice but to come out to him. If he finds out that I’m gay and that I’ve been hiding it just to fool around, he'll be furious. The sooner I do it, the better. Let's face it. I

You have to be a little more patient... I decided to write some more material in advance, so at least future chapters should come out sooner!

Your sins are forgiven... and encouraged.

And that's why I think writer's job is to write, not paint : ]

That said, I do like my takes on Mike. If you want to see more, I posted them on my twitter (link in bio). Again, 100% uncanonical.

No fillers, only substance!!!! I do the same. When I don't like the character description, I ignore it and stick to my version. If the author is too insistent, it can actually be a turn off! I appreciate vague descriptions like you did with Brian and the gang. I think Steve is the character you provided the most details for, and for some reason I can't explain I keep imagining him like a Steven Seagal's lost brother. Human brain, right? NO!

Thank you all... I hope you understand that if I start replying to every single comment, we will never get chapter 6. Thank you so much for your comments and support. I never know if a chapter is hit or miss until I post it, but you guys never disappoint! I keep smiling. I've been asked about it before but I have a feeling like I always disappoint people by sending them my references. I usually hear things like "oh, I thought they'd be younger/older, chubbier, skinnier," etc. That said, I did play a little with Midjourney AI and created a few images that are close to being Mike (who's also kiiinda inspired by a real person). If you really want, I can generate Liam too and make a little gallery. But only if you really want, because it won't be super accurate or cannonical, or as cute as they hopefully are in your heads ...about the forgotten device. It's supposed to be forgotten! It will totally not be mentioned again. Like, totally. I'm using the Men in Black flAshlight on you. 🔦⚡ The neuralyzer! Forget! Now, off to writing, and researching on squirrels!

There's a knock at the door, and she calls my name. Strange. She usually just barges into my room, shaking me awake or pulling the blanket off if I'm too slow. “Just a minute!” I stretch and yawn, feeling an unexpected muscle soreness, though I don't recall working out. It feels like I've only slept for five minutes. Someone must’ve superglued my eyelids while I slept. And then it hits me. This isn't my room. This isn't my house. That wasn't my mom. I sit up, suddenly

Thank you, I really appreciate it!

Thank you for commenting. I totally see your point, the twins surely need some discipline, and it shouldn't be up to Mike of all people to bring it upon them. Mike probably should have apologized for calling them names after he cooled down, but I absolutely don't blame him for how he reacted.
-
I like the analogy. He's going to need a lot of glue for that! Mike's dad is nowhere near Calvin's league. He was probably just some random stud, happy in a zero-commitment relationship with a good-looking girl. Maybe an asshole and a coward, but not nearly as evil or manipulative. It's true that this story is completely fictional and, let's be honest, I simply needed Mike's dad out of the picture I'm not aiming for the level of depth of family tragedy in Thicker than Water.

Your guess is as good as mine, but it very likely could be both. Spot on! More will be revealed soon I have a history of creating unlikable characters, not always intentionally... I hope you keep warming up to him even if he's not always perfect. Thank you so much for checking my new story!

Wow, thank you so much for all your comments. I was really stressing out about this chapter being confusing, out of place, etc. I absolutely LOVE reading your thoughts and theories, to the point that I want to keep things vague for a little longer, because they're sometimes more creative than anything I could think of, haha. I promise I won't steal anything (wink wink). But for real, I don't think I can reply to every comment anymore without dropping a meaningless wall of text or what's worse, spoilers! But yes, things are definitely going to be a bit awkward in the morning. You could say that Mike made Liam cheat on his girlfriend (judging by your comments, Mike is the only one who still believes this). A kiss could have made it better or worse, depending on Liam's feelings about it. Mike, let's face it, he'd be totally on board. Let's just pray Liam's parents didn't install a security camera in the living room. Or at least they're not rewatching it very often, even if they did. I was tempted to write an awkward double date with Abi hitting on Mike, but I'll leave cringe comedy to the masters of the genre. In an alternate universe, Mike becomes BFFs with Abi and Liam gets jealous because his plan backfired. There's only one conspiracy I haven't seen here... WHAT IF OLIVIA AND ABI ARE A COUPLE? Nah, that would be stupid. Or would it? Naaah... But what if? One of cliches I'll probably never use is "and it was all just a dream." In 99% cases it's so infuriating when someone does it! Well, I almost did it once. There's a story on Nifty called Backseat Passenger that did it very well (guess it's sort of a spoiler but maybe not really). But no, I don't want an angry mob with torches and pitchforks coming to my house (AGAIN), so stay calm! Things that are in the past like Maggie's scars or Mike's dad - maybe they'll come up later in the story, or maybe not. These are things that just are there, but you don't really talk or even think about them anymore. We've arrived at just another day in Mike's life and all we can do is watch him carry on, hoping for small hints about what brought him where he is now. At least Mike's mom is there, still, and they'll have to talk about what's going on eventually, even if they learned to sidestep the topic and not call it by its name. BTW, I have to defend the father at the mall. His son caused all the mess, but what would any of us do if we saw a teen getting physical with our kid, for whatever reason? It's very likely the kid got grounded after they got home, lol. And there we have it, a wall of text after all. Thanks again for all the comments 🙏 I'll go back to work now. I have some raunchy moments planned out, so I hope you don't mind me getting a bit horny on top of all the nice plot. And here's the groan emoji. I'm using it a lot, but it's called "weary" for some reason 😩

Liam turns his back to me and drops his towel again. He has such a firm and sexy ass. I watch him hypnotized as he opens his wardrobe and picks his clothes. I shake out of it before he can catch me looking, and follow his lead. That’s it. We’re both naked, hanging out in his room. Of course, I’m the only one being weird about it and all boned up. Good thing he’s not looking. As we get dressed. I try to take in every detail, knowing I’ll be jerking off to this memory for weeks, if not months. Fuc

Good point, but it seems like he had a more immediate worry and acted before he could think. Maybe it was a bit out of the character, but Mike isn't great with handling new situations and can get a little emotional. My writing speed is largely impacted by how inspired I feel at a given moment and other life-related issues that affect my concentration. Not to mention the story difficulty level... I'm not great with intricate plots and many characters because I tend to start overthinking and things get overwhelming fast. Sometimes I can write over 5k words in a day, sometimes I can't write a single sentence. That's why I always promise myself to finish a story before posting - and then I keep breaking this promise over and over. Luckily, I have a few chapters ahead planned out, and the ending too.
-
SEVERAL TIMES? I'm humbled and trying not to freak out. I'm a little paranoid about leaving major plotholes on every step, maybe I'm just overthinking. Thank you! Mike as the only kid clearly has no idea how to handle siblings, and ironically, his reaction seems to have scared/confused the twins into some sort of obedience. I think they got their own parents all worked out and wrapped around the fingers, and made everyone at home including Liam immune to their antics. Mike was out of the line for sure with the name calling but I'd probably panic too. If only I could write them faster... but yeah, it looks like I'll be posting a new chapter today or tomorrow 🤔

Thanks for the comment. Maybe Mike will start appreciating why Liam values privacy so much sharing the house with these two. I can be cruel for my protagonists but not THAT cruel But it's a Chekchov's fleshlight, it should come back sooner or lter. Yeah, I think they know their mom will keep dragging them to all the boring places if they fail this little test. 30 minutes in the bank for a twelve-year old? Ugh!!! Now that would be convenient, at least for Mike and that would be even more convenient! Thanks for reading, I like twins and towels too! Good points. Please stop being a few steps ahead of me, we'll get to all that! 😭😭😭 By the way, how about a class called "basic practical skills" Thank you for reading, I'm doing my best to make it interesting... almost as what happens after it. lool! Gym makes sense. A basketball game just in towels? That would put Liam's method to the test.

I pick my phone and am relieved to see that I woke up before the alarm. I get up, as quietly as I can, pick super glue from my backpack and sneak into the bathroom, quietly closing the door behind me. Feeling like a secret agent, I fetch the fleshlight from the cabinet—yeah, I actually looked it up to know what it's called—happy to find it exactly where I left it. It looks like it’s not a part of Liam’s daily ritual or anything. I sit cross-legged on the floor and place it, carefully this time,

Bois, no arguing in my comment section, clearly no one meant disrespect! Misunderstandings will happen if you make inside jokes in public spaces. I very much appreciate you all!

Thank you for the comments! Now Mike will start overthinking. What was he telling her about him? 😭 If only Mike had access to Liam's thoughts... thanks for reading! Please keep sending Mike good advice, he's known for his poor judgement! That would be really awkward, poor Mike : ) I like the idea of this multiverse, lol! Unfortunately there are many Calvins in the world. That part was really easy to write from my own experience... It would be so cruel of me to make him wait five more chapters... or maybe ten. I'd never! If Maggie set them up on purpose, then she's a criminal mastermind. Maybe they'll end up measuring something else before the story is over.
