While this one is left unexplored, I'm with you on it. What Dwight did definitely comes from a place of insecurity and bloated ego and we all know how many factors could've shaped his personality. Even Tyler admits that he enabled Dwight's behavior by letting him go even at his most toxic, justifying it with "boys will be boys". The one who's really on a crossroad here is Dwight - will he stop and think about where this life led him, or will he just sink to be even a bigger asshole? Even if it's a publicity stunt, he did show some integrity - also away from the cameras, with only the four of them in the room. I doubt he'd be able to fake the tears like that. Keeping in mind his job, I can somehow sympathize that he'd be an unsuccesful politician if he didn't understand it's all one big roleplay. Is he a good man, deep inside? We may never learn. Yup, what Tyler has just been through let him look at people with more compassion. He understood that it's easy to give up on people who act like assholes and he owes his life to the fact that Rufus didn't give up on him. He probably feels like he owes the same to his wrongdoers, even if their crimes are incomparable. Well, what can I say... THANK YOU!!! Thank you a million times. I've felt really insecure about this story, knowing well I've made some potentially unpopular choices along the way... This gives me so much needed confidence going forward. I'm not the most prolific writer in the world but I already look forward to sharing another story with you. Thank you for your elaborate comments and being so articulate at expressing your thoughts. Thank you so much. I know it's my ego speaking, but after spending so much time creating this story there's no better reward than to know you guys appreciate what I did. Looking back at my old stories, I might have a thing for "unlikable" characters. I'm really happy that it doesn't put you off (at least not enough to stop you from reading!). There's a bit of me in both Tyler and Rufus and I did my best to give then justice. Thank you so much. I really put my heart and soul into it and did my best to give justice to all the characters, their struggles and decisions - sometimes very wrong ones. I do believe a person's views and background don't define them and there's some good in most people. I've never been to the US and I deliberately kept things vague, so it's amazing to hear you found it relatable and enjoyable. Makes me want to keep writing more : D

Yeah... Tyler needed to hit the bottom to finally grow a pair but when he did... well, I'm not surprised Rufus gave himself to him. Whether Tyler's dad won or not is definitely important but not for this story. I think I know the answer. Continuing this story would launch me into entirely different waters. But who knows, maybe. I don't blame him for not disclosing the heartfelt family moment to the media, though. Thank you for sticking with me for another story. Each time I finish one, I'm convinced I'll never write anything half as good ever again... hopefully it will never happen!

But I do agree they go into risky teritory with ther games' themes. The mastermind behind these games is an illustrator and comic creator, The Oatmeal. Then again, I should probably go back to setting my stories in Poland so I can be more realistic about things like this.
