Thank you so much. I know it's my ego speaking, but after spending so much time creating this story there's no better reward than to know you guys appreciate what I did. Looking back at my old stories, I might have a thing for "unlikable" characters. I'm really happy that it doesn't put you off (at least not enough to stop you from reading!). There's a bit of me in both Tyler and Rufus and I did my best to give then justice. I'll write more stories before seriously considering a sequel but the idea is tempting for sure : ) Thank you so much for reading and letting me know your thoughts ❤️

Hehe, nice spotted. Thank you so much for reading and sharing your thoughts, I'm going to miss the feeling of posting a new chapter!
-
I deliberately didn't give answers to this questions. I hope you can forgive me and just trust your guts! They're probably right : ) Thank you for reading!!

I'm really humbled by this amazing response. I can't wait to share another story (or finally finish one of the sleeping ones ^^). Thank you for all the insightful and sometimes funny comments. I feel really blessed!

happy and realistic don't always go together... I'm happy I managed to combine both! Thank you so much for reading and all your comments!

Thanks so much for reading and commenting, it means a lot to me 🤩

Thank you so much. I really put my heart and soul into it and did my best to give justice to all the characters, their struggles and decisions - sometimes very wrong ones. I do believe a person's views and background don't define them and there's some good in most people. I've never been to the US and I deliberately kept things vague, so it's amazing to hear you found it relatable and enjoyable. Makes me want to keep writing more : D

Thank you! I really appreciate it! As to Rufus and Tyler... I think so, too. I don't think there are any obstacles that can threaten their relationship after what they've been through.
-
Yeah... Tyler needed to hit the bottom to finally grow a pair but when he did... well, I'm not surprised Rufus gave himself to him. Whether Tyler's dad won or not is definitely important but not for this story. I think I know the answer. Continuing this story would launch me into entirely different waters. But who knows, maybe. I don't blame him for not disclosing the heartfelt family moment to the media, though. Thank you for sticking with me for another story. Each time I finish one, I'm convinced I'll never write anything half as good ever again... hopefully it will never happen!

Thank you so much for reading and all the comments. It wasn't an easy road for the boys but it sure was worth it in the end. Dad learned to show only what he wants to show to the world outside. Who knows how his childhood looked like? Will he ever open about it? The Bradd mention was supposed to be just a joke but now I can see some potential brewing! Patrick is deffinitely in need of a boyfriend... and so is Jim!

Remember you can get Dark Star as an ebook on Amazon if you'd like to re-read it one day or simply support me.

The photo a newspaper published of us the next morning is going pretty viral. The picture appears on my Twitter timeline time after time. Rufus and I are standing on the porch, with Dad in the middle and his hands on our shoulders. Our smiles may be misgiving for someone who doesn’t know what had happened only ten minutes before it was taken - and that is literally everyone in the world but the three of us and Mom. My obscene blackeye makes it even more abstract. While strong enough to knock me

Thank you for all your comments ❤️ As you've correctly guessed, I won't be able to cover everthing in the final chapter, especially things this story is not about, like the condition of the American society or court drama : ) But I hope you'll enjoy it nonetheless! I'll post it shortly.

The next day goes by similarly, with a few exceptions. First, it's Friday. Secondly, I wake up with Rufus snoring gently in the bed above me. It's a nice sound. Even before I open my eyes, I'm reminded that it's not a dream and that he's still here, in my room, and he's here because he needs me. It's beautiful and scary at the same time. If I fail him once more, especially before he deals with his dad's death, it will be over. I can sense Rufus feels uncomfortable at breakfast. Mom initiate

Oh, hello page two of the comments section! Never seen you before under any of my stories

Thank you all for reading and overwhelming me with your comments. I can't even start replying to each and every one, so please just know that I enjoyed reading them over and over and had a few chuckles here and there I had no idea anyone would even notice the little Bradd cameo, not to mention all the theories, haha! I love it! If I knew, I would probably give it more thought and develop it further... but... This isn't impossible! I wish my debut was as polished as this. My actual debut is more quirky, but I still have fond memories of it. Can't believe it's been 3 years. I see what you did there! Should I add Sammy's Kitchen to this sweet and spicy mix? Last but not least, thank you all again for the story commnets. I hope the two final chapters will bring satisfying answers to your questions and theories! But sometimes I think they're even more imaginative that what I actually did, tee hee!

Okay, being out at school feels so weird. But Jim was right. Apart from Dwight, no one has any real problems with it. I quickly get tired of correcting people that I'm not gay, especially that they don't believe me anyway. They think I'm testing the waters with the bisexual label before coming out for real. You'd think that having a girlfriend for three months would be sufficient proof, but no. People like simple love stories. "I can ask Dale to let you sit next to me if you want," Rufus su

All the lights flicker and go off at the same time. It's the middle of the day, so it hardly makes any difference, even though the library windows don't let in much sunlight at this hour. It turns out that without electricity, we're just monkeys in clothes. At first, we're told to wait within the school property, but when the power isn't restored after forty minutes, the remaining classes are officially canceled for the day. "Why so early?" Mom asks when I come home and throw my backpack on

Also... Is your kitty a convict? - The Oatmeal
-
Then do I have news for you! The team behind Exploding Kittens also made game called Bears vs Babies - "a card game where you build incredible monsters who go to war with horrible, awful babies." So there you have it! But! You'll be relieved to hear that the whole thing is a joke and they at no point endorse violence against cute things. But I do agree they go into risky teritory with ther games' themes. The mastermind behind these games is an illustrator and comic creator, The Oatmeal. He is a declared animal lover and owner, and he's known for his sometimes edgy and dark humor - How to pet a kitty - The Oatmeal. Exactly. I've added my share of sacreligeous ingredients to both Coca Cola and vodka in my days. Then again, I should probably go back to setting my stories in Poland so I can be more realistic about things like this. I was to go with my limited knowledge of what the U.S. teens drink at parties, I'd probably have to go with punch... I'm happy you enjoyed the chapter : )

Jim may be one of those "do as I say, not as I do" mentors though : ) Fingers crossed, it looks like further inaction may have dire consequences for everyone... Good observations! I almost felt tempted to write this chapter from 4-5 different perspectives, because pretty much everyone is going through their little internal turmoil. Maybe except Dad, who's too busy with his stuff to notice. I'm really happy the chapter managed to make you emotional. I only hope the remaining ones live up to the expectations! Good point! Will he fight, freeze, or flee? Thank you!!! I can't believe only 4 chapters are left. I'll post chapter 11 later today.

Could be intentional on my side... could be 😏 That wouldn't be the first power outage in the story but.. who knows? purely unintentional, I only noticed it now ^^

The doctor's appointment is just a formality. After a whopping five minutes of consultation, he sends me home, telling me to take pills I won't buy anyway and, more importantly, a certificate excusing me from the classes for the rest of the week. Dad's barely home, fully focused on his campaign. When he's back, he locks himself in his office and only comes out for meals. If he took a second to notice me, he would probably have questions like, why are you so down all the time, or, what about
