Well, here it is, you’re here Born in the world, beautiful and healthy Already crying, asking for help from those Around you, you’re calm, you found family Years go by and you’re a young adult You have the courage to talk to another young adult Both of you are nervous, sweating, shaking even Stumbling over words until something clear comes out Common ground, a similar interest, followed by Smiles and plans to bond over that interest Parents see that sparkle but you

We all have three parts to our story A beginning, a middle, and an end We all have three sides to our story Your side, my side, and the truth Truth is, we love each other Love is crazy, blind, and dangerous Love is wonderful, powerful, sometimes a bit unstable Love is full of excuses, curses, and blessings Love is whatever we say it is The beginning starts as unconditional The beginning starts as innocent The beginning is just a chance Nothing more, nothing less
