  1. The pack house was a buzz of activity. The males ran about to complete tasks as assigned by the Alpha and Enforcer to load the pack vans and SUVs, preparing to move out on their mission. Kane met with his Beta privately, reviewing his plan and leaving last minute instructions on the running of the pack house in his absence. “If all goes well, we should have the prisoners sent back here to await final punishment within the week,” Kane said. “It’s a full night’s drive to the territory wher
  2. 😀 I wondered if somebody was going to call out Thomas on his big blunder to need a beer so badly that he blew their cover! Bears & Beers! Hopefully they were worth it... we'll see.
  3. Gunnar and Mike's first bear hug!
  4. Kane had his video meeting with the other Alphas around the end of February, and then the Supreme Alpha's mole gave his report, and the lycan council meeting was a week after that. So, we can figure that it's been about two months since the Council meeting, since Mike's shift took place at the end of April. I'd say that the wolf didn't know to hang out at that particular general store, but the store is located within his pack's patrol territory, and he just happened to be patrolling in the right place at the right time. With all of the separatist packs hunters and patrol wolves on the lookout, there was a high probability that they were going to be spotted once they ventured out of their secluded hiding place.
  5. Spring had arrived at the cabin in the forest. The snow had melted, and although it still occasionally dipped below freezing at night, the only precipitation for the last couple of weeks was rain. Gunnar stood in the kitchen, cooking the usual breakfast for Mike of oatmeal and bacon. Their supplies were beginning to run low, and they had reached the point where certain foods were completely gone, but they had enough to get by for now, and Gunnar was expecting Mike’s change to happen any d
  6. Many years ago, I served as jury foreman on a federal trial of a cult leader who was charged with five years worth of tax evasion. Over the course of two weeks, they brought a lot of his followers to the stand to testify why their leader should be allowed to do whatever he wanted and spend the "church's" money on himself in any way he wished with no oversight whatsoever. The responses from those cult followers in that trial were my basis for the behavior of the lycan prisoners in this chapter.
  7. Apollo gazed out of the windows of his guest suite within the North American Lycan Council headquarters. The snow-capped mountains in the distance gleamed brightly from the morning sun, and the entire grounds surrounding the Council complex here in Calgary was covered in a thick white blanket. Alpha Apollo and several others had been summoned to the headquarters to testify as the Council discussed the fate of the six wolves captured within his territory attempting to murder the five stray
  8. Mike was a little over a month along in his four-month journey toward his first werebear shift. Gunnar and Thomas had worked out a daily schedule that kept him busy and would develop his growing bear muscles. They also dealt with his ever-increasing werebear libido. In a typical day, Gunnar would get up early and begin cooking breakfast. Some days Mike would eat a gallon of oatmeal and two pounds of bacon. Other days it would be twenty pancakes or waffles and two or three pounds of saus
  9. Susie insisted that Gunnar & crew go dark and off-grid for the winter so that Kane couldn't find him, or try to extract information from anybody else. The She-Wolves are under the protection of Alpha Apollo and the Chicago pack, so they'll be doing OK. We haven't hear the last of the She-Wolves just yet!
  10. It took nearly three weeks for the new turbine gearboxes to be delivered to the post office, and then three more days for Thomas to get them all installed at the top of each of the towers. Once the task was complete, the blades began spinning swiftly in the December winds, and the battery bank was filled to capacity. “Lucky you,” Thomas said, jokingly with Gunnar, “You get to go into the city and go shopping just one week before Christmas! Have fun with that.” “Yeah, I know,” Gunnar
  11. The Jeep sped along the dark country road with Gunnar behind the wheel, Thomas riding shotgun, and Mike in the backseat, leaning forward to make sure he heard the conversation. “You two may as well try to get some sleep,” Gunnar said. “I’m sorry that we missed dinner, but we’ve got a ways to go tonight, and there are no freeways to get there, so it’s going to be all back-roads for the next five or six hours.” “You want to fill us in on where we’re going?” Thomas asked. “Well, las
  12. I tossed that back and forth in my brain a few times as well. I think in the end, Gunnar opted for traveling light, and took only what he needed. The other three binders, while valuable to Gunnar, would be useless to the wolves once his plan is in place.
  13. “For the last time, Mike,” Gunnar scolded sternly, “The She-Wolves are not coming here to rape you. Most other wolves in the world are not like the evil ones who kidnapped you, and these wolves risked their own lives to help rescue you. We owe them everything.” “I know, Papa,” Mike replied timidly, sorry that he had made Gunnar angry, “I just feel really nervous at the thought of being around wolf lycans again. I don’t want my irrational emotions to get away from me and ruin the holiday
  14. Mike and Gunnar cuddled under a blanket on the couch in the living room, enjoying the fire in the fireplace. It was mid-November, Mike had been with Gunnar and Thomas for about two weeks now, and it was just another two weeks until the beginning of the holiday season. Gunnar had informed Joshua that they would be staying at the house at least through the New Year and they would decide on what to do after the holidays, depending on whether Mike had made his choice by then or not. After the
  15. I don't think Mike has any 'freak out' left in him after everything that has happened to him so far! He's quite clearly enamored with Gunnar, and the prospect of becoming the type of man that he has always fantasized about is extremely tempting.
  16. Mike woke up in the soft king-sized bed with clean white sheets and the quilt with the bear motif hand-stitched into the pattern. He’d been in this bed for a day and a half now, being tenderly nursed back to health. He looked over and saw “Mr. Bear” asleep in a chair in front of the fireplace with an open book laying on his belly. He rolled over onto his side to admire his sleeping hero, but the mattress squeaked, and Gunnar’s head perked up and his eyes blinked a few times. “Good mo

Yep, that's the number I've been keeping an eye on for the last couple days. It has been going up around 20 to 30 points each day, and since I'm at 214 as of this moment, I figure another couple of days should put me over the top!
  18. Gunnar and Thomas pulled the Jeep off to the side of the road along the eastern edge of the State Wildlife Area. It was a few minutes before sundown, and they were right on schedule. Gunnar pulled out the bag that Susie had made for them. It was a messenger bag that had been covered in fake fur that matched Gunnar’s own bear fur color. They stripped down and stashed their t-shirts, pants, and sneakers in the bag. Gunnar fastened his wristwatch around the strap, and then hung the bag around

I appreciate everyone's feedback! I'm having a good time writing this and the next chapter is going to be a wild ride! I'm actually up to chapter 20 now in my writing. The only restriction right now is the wait each day for the next chapter to be approved in the moderation queue, but I should be hitting the 250 mark on my community reputation story score in the next day or two, so that restriction should be lifted soon. As long as I can play out the scenes of a chapter inside my head first, like watching a movie, then writing it all out is quick and easy. I can get one or two chapters written each day in first draft form. After that, I continuously read and re-read the chapters that I've written, editing and tweaking the words and dialogue here and then until its that chapter's turn to post. Once I finish this story, I'm going to take a break and read some other people's stuff for a day or two before I get started on my next story. I hope to be able to have enough inspiration to get a whole werebear series churned out!

A semi horn honked outside, causing Gunnar and Thomas to run out to the front porch and investigate the commotion. Parked in front of the house was a twenty-two-foot Ford F650 flatbed truck with removable sides. The cab of the truck was painted in rainbow colors, and the removable sides were airbrushed with portraits of four familiar drag queens, with the words “The She-Wolves” in graffiti-style script. “Very subtle,” Thomas joked as the extended cab opened and four lean and stylish w
  21. The next morning, after breakfast, a truck backed into the driveway and two men jumped out to unload a cord of firewood and lay it neatly in a 4x4x8 foot stack along the side of the tidy blue storage shed. Gunnar walked out onto the porch as they were just finishing up and asked the man who seemed to be in charge what he owed him for the wood. “Oh, it’s already been paid for by Joshua,” the man said. “It should come out of the supplies and maintenance budget for the house.” “It’s
  22. Gunnar picked up Thomas mid-morning at the airport in Green Bay the next day and filled him in on the backstory of his travels and recent trouble during the hour’s drive to Sturgeon Bay. He included the information all about the She-Wolves in Chicago but omitted the eight weeks spent with Roy the horse trainer in Kentucky from his tale. He didn’t need a lecture from Thomas for putting himself in a position to have his heart broken so soon after starting out. Now, they sat at the dining ta
  23. Gunnar belched loudly and let out a little laugh as he drove north on US 151 around Lake Winnebago. He was still full from his big breakfast but glad that he had decided to add on a triple order of bacon and a second carafe of coffee to his tab before leaving the diner. That waitress was so nice and attentive; she had a heaping helping of bacon delivered to the table in less than a minute after he ordered it, and it was hot off the griddle. He clipped his phone into the dashboard holder and s
  24. Being sold to another pack was a threat used to keep Mike in line, as a sort of "If you think we're bad, well sell you to another pack who is even worse" kind of thing. I doubt Kane would be willing to accept money in exchange for his pet purely out of spite now that he knows that Gunnar wants him so badly.
  25. Maybe Nick was more careful with Kane in the past, and didn't allow Kane to actually cum inside him raw like that. It could be that they got carried away in the heat of the moment this time and it could now be a problem. Either Nick has a way of masking the scent from the other members of the pack, or else he's in danger of exposing himself! Or perhaps it was just the fact that Mike was taunting him about being caught in the act that angered Nick so much. Accusing a male of "lifting his tail" for another male is quite an insult in the wolf culture!
