  1. Book Two of “In The Shadows” does not disappoint! Book One built a solid foundation for the Owensville Pack and Book Two tests it’s strength. The intrigue is ten-fold as we follow the collective and individual risings. Love rises, yes, but so does the action and with the action, the drama. Twists and turns and cliffhangers abound. New characters appear, old characters find new adventures and collectively they Rise. My advice? Buckle up and binge Book Two! I did so I can get to Book Three.
  2. Gray to white to black. Wagner’s limbo to Dirk’s love to Shaw’s murder. That’s a whole lot to take in and only three of the many loose ends! What the f*ck is Vincent thinking??? I sincerely hope Mason takes that phone out of his hand before he makes the call. It’s not time yet. Or is it? Bravo, Author!
  3. Forever. Another mated couple. Enchantingly erotic. Cyrus Vonder, the Sun Wanders? The wandering son. So pleased to meet Cy’s parents!
  4. Fantastic!
  5. You’re wearing me out today! Rainy afternoon binge reading and you’re doing me in. Teared up twice and flat out shed tears over Cyrus. Phew!
  6. An Irish Wolf who’s clearly a hound! What a great addition to the cast of characters!!
  7. I have a favorite location so you let me know when Clumpies makes it to the top of your list!
  8. TILF? I laughed out loud! If that Chattanooga ice cream reference was based on real life experience then it has to be our home-grown, locally owned C******’s! This Chattanoogan is feeling proud!
  9. Their bond is complete! Great mating scene. Sexy and sensual painting the scene perfectly with the right amount of detail. I hope I am mistaken as to where I suspect I found more foreshadowing.
  10. A guest appearance by that low-life Alpha? Just a set up for Vincent’s wolf to make his first kill? I think Stacy is handling this all much better than I would! Is her easy acceptance a touch of foreshadowing? I will gladly read on to find the answers to my questions!
  11. Maybe I’m mistaken but I think we have at least two cliffhangers in this chapter. I’m accustomed to one but…two? <sigh>
  12. I have adored Cyrus since he first appeared in the story. This was heartbreaking to read but I’m going to focus on the fact they’ve found each other. Now perhaps Cyrus will find new strength and peace with Kaplan just as Kaplan is gaining the same from Cyrus.
  13. I’m already planning time for a proper binge reading of this book! I have a concern only someone, like myself, who lives in Appalachia would share. Dear fellow readers: If you say “apple-lay-sha” I’m going to throw an “apple-at-cha”. Appalachia = “apple-at-cha”. It’s important to us! Does this qualify as a Ted Talk?
  14. This novel checks all of the boxes. All 12 of the checkboxes offered here to recommend a story, specifically. Without question it is a love story. More so, it explores the many forms love takes. The love of, and from, family seemingly shapes the love of the two lead characters. Family in all its forms. Biological, chosen, and herein the love of a diverse pack. We’re taken on a journey of self-discovery as a young man comes into his own and finds his place in the world as he continues on a personal mission to extract revenge for a long-ago wrong. Make room on your reading list for Aaron Stone’s grand adventure here and all of his works. Trust me, it will be time we’ll spent.
  15. This lucky binge reader is moving on to book two! Vincent has found his Mr. Myagi and I am here for it! This was a fantastic read, start to finish, astone2292. Thank you for sharing your words and your wild imagination. Total fanboy here!
  16. The fight gave me goosebumps and wet eyes. Powerful prose!
  17. I’m so glad I found this book complete! This is clearly an ‘oh sh*t’ moment and I, luckily, get the instant gratification of reading on! Good stuff, Author!!
  18. I’ve saved this chapter until I had a quiet time to read it uninterrupted. The warning at the begging had me thinking it would be something hard or upsetting to read. I found the absolute opposite! The detail of his shift are so, so good. The love floats off the page with this pack within a pack. And the Cyrus surprise? Whoa. Great chapter Mr. Stone!
  19. Cyrus is fab-u-lous! Clearly that scarf was too…
  20. You write good hotdogging! Forgive me author but in my head Vincent’s wolf sounds like Cookie Monster. Another stellar chapter!
  21. Crying and laughing and all the emotions churned by this chapter. Vincent’s wolf is precious. Precious and dangerous, I suspect.
  22. Absolutely fantastic! Can’t wait to read the aftermath of all the events in this chapter but especially what the bond brings.
  23. BTW: I was sooo hoping Morrine was a cougar!
  24. The expression of your imagination through your writing has left me awestruck. Gobsmacked. Speechless. Every superlative expressed in the comments before mine are so well deserved. The build up, through the previous chapters, was great to read. The dance itself? Spectacular. Truth be told you made me cry, twice! Then you made me laugh: “teenieboopers”. You are masterful at breaking tension with humor. Bravo!
  25. No shortage of strong female characters. We’d previously met Morrine and Poll, Sarah, but both get added dimension in this chapter. Kudos for writing diverse and badass women
