Talk about perspective. I fear Loren will think he's not allowed to hate his childhood because it could have been worse. Sure, it could have been, but being abandoned is fucking terrible. I hope the trafficking doesn't overshadow what did happen to him. I am excited to see what comes of all this. Loren's arc is stunning. I want to stand on the side of the road holding a sign while he runs the final mile. The man we're reading about now is so different then the man we read about in the beginning of the story. You have an amazing craft. PS. I was jipped a solid halloween as a child. Where is my remote control ride and dino parents? I'm writing a strongly worded email to my parents. How dare they put a white sheet over my head and call it a day.

I read this story when she first published it but I pressed my luck finishing it and haven't been back online to review since, but I to carve the time to review it. This story was a delight. Humor, heartbreak, awkwardness, a lovely string of events, great pacing, realistic dialogue and events, and great, lovable MCs. Another win for MsG. Hasn't failed us yet. Knowing her, we won't here more from Nolan and Jensen but I hope she changes her mind at some point.

Stop reading the reviews and start reading the story. That's all I can say. There is much to love from the first chapter to the last. Each one eliciting every emotion possible from hilarious one-liners to wanting to punch your computer. The story is told through alternating POV's. Loren and Jay have very unique voices and perspectives, which is hard to accomplish for many writers. Following as these two men meet and figure out how to love is a delight. Truly a masterpiece.

There are many great lines I could quote, but I think this is my favorite: This right here shows how amazing Loren is as an uncle and will be as a father. No one will ever feel the way his parents made him feel. His family trauma will not continue on. It died with his childhood.

The hot points have been talked about, flipped upside down. I cannot offer anything in addition. Until now all the baby drama was on Jay's side. I think that contributed to some of the tension we're seeing between Lars and Loren, because it's Jay's friends having babies. But now 2/3 of Loren's friends are expecting. I can't help but think Loren may feel differently because of the closeness he shares with Isaac and Corey. It could be an interesting dynamic shift. Plus, his friends have a unique view of him and there would be little if any pressure between him and their kids, while retaining the trust to push his boundaries. I see good coming of this. Kuddos to the author, this was such a phenomenal and offered much for us readers.

I along with a few others came over from the other site @Mrsgnomie mentioned because she wasn’t posting there. Our arms were twisted if we wanted to read her newest content. I think it’s been worth it. The content is superior and the way readers and authors can interact are far more engaging. It does not feel quite as divided. Im still learning the ropes but I’m finding myself venturing here more and more. And not just on Monday/Thursday- 35 comments

I squeeze his cheeks, making his lips pucker. “The difference between you and me is that I can’t say no to your sad face while you turn your back to mine.” “Dats not truw an you know it,” he says. I smile because he looks hella adorable like this. “You twide me down.” This made me smile. The whole chapter made me smile until the end. I've been lucky so far that most of the stories I've read have been completed so I haven't had to wait. The waiting is terrible. I don't know how anyone does it. I'm very interested to see how Jay reacts when he gets there. I feel like he will over react but there's also the possibility that when he shows up and sees Loren, all that anger will melt into concern. The next chapter should be very interesting!

I’ve been sitting hear trying to figure out what I want to say. There was something eating at me, and then @frosenblum said it. Loren did SO MUCH WORK for this trip! He pretty much did it all. I’m sure he’s used to it because this is what he does, but he went above and beyond and didn’t even try to seek recognition. I don’t think I’d go so far as to say that Jay has lost his touch, I do think it was a swing and a miss though. Can’t wait to see how @Mrsgnomie uses this.
