The best chapter so far. It felt, I don't know, warm somehow. And not because of the sexy sex scene but for the natural flow between the two of them. I've got two scenes from this story now that I'll stick with me for long time. One, when Nic and Luke was leaving Anus's house and Nic saw Joey's horrified face. Oh, that was a heartache! And now this one whereby Jake waits around out of affectionate concern. It was heartfelt. The next chapter is clearly going to have some freaky rides. Thanks for this well thought out journey, @Salander Enough compliments for now, next chapter please 😋 and quickly! (Your fault you dared teasing with a cliffhanger like that)

I partly agree with you on this. 😀 Yes, Jonathan and Rusty are here to blame. But they aren't making those choices to get some greedy materialistic benefits, they both are simply seeking protection. And both R & J will suffer on the way too! I think it'll be too harsh to call them self-centered 'cause they both were betrayed by their loved once. Will I blame Maddox if, from now on, he doesn't trust his parents? No. If he chooses to be cautious around them? Again, no. But then, love can't live with fear, so they all must let it go at some point. And I'm super happy that it's a modern tale. I won't be able handle death in this story. 😨

So I guess I shouldn't be complaining. Now I must directly praise @Laura S. Fox for your amazingly accurate dialogues and more importantly their timing; especially when there are so many in the scene to talk. And not just the words spoken but also the movements of the characters and the way you narrate them, helps incredibly to visualize it all. HULU, are you listening? No Netflix, not you. You're doing a little too high budgeted over-productions with love stories nowadays. I want HULU or Amazon Prime to step in. And I'd like to ask Laura to keep the pitch ready! Again, I'm scared as I'm anticipating a deathly drama and cherry on top, the author has confirmed that too! But this is one of the finest YA drama about college students romance in making, so why will I ever throw rotten tomatoes at you? I'll rather throw a pizza at you. 😊

A few short frictions can only make them come closer. All seriousness apart, I won't pick either of the straight dropout or the gay neurosurgeon!
