I couldn't agree more. This chapter was incredible in terms of being immersed in the characters life. Very well written.

This gave me chill also. I'm sure they thought nothing of it. "We'll just sign it after Gracie is born when we have more time. NBD" They had no reason to suspect. This part of the story was almost as devastating as Danya's death.

Look at this like a science experiment. MrsG always uses two chemicals that--on their own are beautiful and amazing, and when combined, turn a radiant color that expands majestically until it begins to overflow beyond the contained area, wrecking havoc on the towns people before finally cooling into a beautiful field of crystals.

One of the things i like about your writing is how realistic it is. I always feel like I'm right there with your characters. This story is lining up to be another home run. Cant wait to see what you have coming down the line for us. I admit that it's hard to not read between a lot of these lines. Kyan's parents, Dayna's parents, Perry, Evan, him being young and unemployed with no training or education. So many potential directions.

This is why this scene got me so hard. Even though Loren knew they would welcome him there is still a deep rooted fear of rejection. The last people on the planet Loe would want to disappoint would be the two people who saved him. There was nothing to worry about. Mike and Julia were the epitome of how parents should be. The whole thing had a prodigal son feel. I've been waiting for this moment. Loren needed to come back to them when he was ready. I'm glad to see it.

There isn't one best part but the interaction with Geoff definitely spoke volumes about Loren's impact. It makes me curious what Mrs G has planned for the next chapter but more so for Rob Stone's story. I feel there is a set up happening. As @84Mags said, the devil is in the details. I have a feeling there is a lot we won't learn until Rob tells us.

I was also very happy to see things are improving with Jay's parent's. I think this scene with Loren and mama P was a big deal. I didn't like her much throughout the story, but she was redeemed in this chapter. She's just a mama who wants to love her family. She's learning. While Mom watches with tearful eyes as the kids run in circles through the living room and kitchen; Maeve and Maci watch with envy. They’re barely waddling, a few shaky steps at a time. It’s not enough to keep up with bigger kids. It doesn’t stop them from trying, and it’s not long before they’re in the thick of it, laughing as their cousins run circles around them so fast they get dizzy and tip over like tiny drunks. Loren goes to Mom and puts his arm around her. “Need help in the kitchen?” She pats his chest affectionately. “I would like help in the kitchen,” she shoots back. “And as it happens, I have just the dish for you.” Loren looks back at me and winks, before disappearing into the kitchen behind my mother.

This packed a damn punch. The entire scene sucker punched me. It was broken and healing at the same time as I imagined Loren being held by Mike after spending a week alone as he waited for his parents. Mike was his safety and now he has his girls. 😭😭😭 The Superbowl scene! Omg, could you not feel Jay's frustration as he's trying to watch his brothers? I was laughing. Amazing chapter. It was like I was there with them. I don't know that there could be anymore happiness packed in one chapter. I'm nervous, excited, and dreading next week and the final installment of these guys.

Great chapter. It ended with an ominous tone yet Loren seems stronger than ever. Originally, his parents had a lot of control over him emotionally because there was a lot of unprocessed trauma. I think Loe is in a very different mindset this time around and I don’t think Rob can throw a curve that Loe can’t catch. I think Loren has found closure. It will be interesting to see what Mrs g has planned.

This was such a feel good chapter. After the last one, the guys needed a win, and everything about this chapter screams victory. I’m glad they got to have such a perfect delivery experience since conceiving the girls was full of heartache. I could picture Loren out of his mind as the Dr put him in front of Katje’s “lady bits”. I love the whole thing. And their friends. Perfect. Jays parents? Perfect. I wonder if all this is the end of Loren’s social media career. He has valid concerns about the girls exposure. I think it shows a lot about his capability as a father that he’s thinking about these thing. I can’t wait to see how it plays out.
