    Chapter 3

I grew up str8 and lived a str8 life for 70 years. I didn't identify as a bisexual until after my wife of 50 years died in 2018. Hate is a strong word which I hesitate to use. But I don't hesitate to use it here. I hate moralistic, self-righteous, holier-than-thou bigots who use God's own words (scriptures) to condemn people whom God Himself wouldn't condemn. Ronyx and I write from a similar, if not identical, perspective and objective. Perhaps that, in addition to my very nature, explains why I am so emotionally affected by his stories. Thank you, Ronyx, for writing such beautiful stores.
  2. I didn't express myself well. I agree with you. Rusty is in love with Matty but is afraid to admit it to himself, so he uses vulgarity to hide his true. My comment really just showed how impatient I am I real life.

You have no idea how bad it is.

    Chapter 4

LMAO. I yield to Oxford. But your Parliament stills seems more like our Congress than the British parliament. 😄😄😄

    Chapter 4

According to Webster's Dictionary, asexual is defined as Biology without sex or sexual organs. As far as I know, only Mules satisfy that definition. The rest of us use that term generically to refer to one who doesn't have sexual relations with one gender or the other, so sayeth my SOTP.

    Chapter 4

Yes, you are right. But when one reads LBGTQIA, L begins with a vowel. Say it to yourself and see which sounds right. An LGBTQIA, or A Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, etc. Then again, does one say AN horrible movie, or A horrible movie. No wonder people for whom English is a second language have such difficulty. Like, I wound the bandage around the wound while i read a story about the Red Badge of Courage. Did you ever read that story? Or, the root of all evil vs one foot before the other. Is it a paper route (rowt) or a paper route (root)? Let's have some fun with this.

    Chapter 4

Speaking of the proper use of the English language, I have always wondered if it is appropriate to use "a" or "an" in front of something like LGBTQIA. Is it proper to use "an" when the pronunciation of L begins with a vowel, as in el be gee que eye aye, or do we use "a' because the word Lesbian begins with a consonant. Talk about being "conflicted." What the hell do the I and A stand for? I like rock and roll music from the 50's and 60's, classical music prior to the 20th century, country, religious, "elevator music" written prior to 2000 and music from what we Americans refer to as the Big Band Era, such as Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, etc. I do like Perry Como and Doris Day but never could get comfortable with Tony Bennett. I also really enjoy oratorios such as Handel's Messiah, Cherubini's Requiem, Mendelsohn's Elijah, et.al. which I find beautiful musically, even if one doesn't listen to the words.
  11. My name's Tanner, Tanner Williams. I guess I'll take Dad Dan's advice and start off by telling you a little about myself, 'cause none of this stuff is in my diary. Brian already described me, so I don't need to do that again. You know? It doesn't take much to impress some people. I certainly wouldn't have described myself in such complimentary ways as he did. But I'm glad I look that way to him. I don't really know much about my Dad's side of the family, so I don't know what my ancestry is.

    Chapter 6

Thanks to everyone who commented, but especially to @Summerabbacat. I knew you would like dad's turnaround. I just hoped it wasn't too unrealistic. As I have said before, having lost the son I wanted from the age of 10, I just couldn't/can't get my head around a man who couldn't love his son(s) as much as dad did in this story. I Hope you will continue to follow dad's progress in Part Two.

    Chapter 4

I presume so. I sometimes wished I had fallen out of a tree, because Bob was always smarter than me, graduating from college with a 4. out of 4, while I managed to get a degree with a 2. 0 average and a 2.2 in my major. On the other hand, Bob has no sense of humor, and even my mom once said he has no common sense. At 79 years of age, he is an obstinate overbearing miser. But we love each other.

    Chapter 4

As to the rest of your comments, @Summerabbacat, I see that my well-written story has struck a nerve. "Divalicous"? I need to open my dictionary. I never did like Barabra Streisand. But then again, I didn't like Frank Sinatra, either. I just love your over-the-top tirades. You certainly express yourself well without pulling any punches. The absence of "political correctness" is heart-warming.

    Chapter 4

A bit of truth in a fantasy. ALL of this happened to my brother back in the mid-50's when doctors made house calls. I'm not sure Bob was even taken to a hospital. I was too young to remember.
  16. I am self-employed and work from home, so I am not concerned about anyone's sensitivities but my own. I do appreciate all of the comments my question prompted.
  17. Sorry, @J.El, but I don't agree with you. But that's OK. To each his own.
  18. Rusty praised him while voicing his orgasm, “you’re the best at sucking cock.” I just wonder how long it's going to take for Rusty to admit he is gay and say something romantic rather than vulgar. A playful slap on the ass followed and Rusty moved away. Then, he suddenly leaned forward and whispered in Matty’s ear. “I think your calculations are correct. And don’t worry, your ass is perfect for my cock.” There is no love in this comment. Matty wants so much more, and Rusty just can't bring himself to consider the truth.

  20. As @Carlos Hazday said, you have to write your story offline using any word processing program you choose. But you have to save it in PLAIN TEXT before submitting it. Depending on which software you choose (I use WordPerfect), you might only be able to save it as RICH TEXT. But that's okay. That format opens in WORD, so you have to have that on your computer. Once your rich text document is open, you can edit it and save it as plain text. The you copy it and paste it to the chapter text box. You should review it after pasting. Sometimes not all of the formatting attributes (such as paragraph.)
  21. Obviously, this is a continuation of The Root Beer Boys and picks up where that story ended. Same characters, other relationships begin to develop among the boys.
  22. Dan: Several months have passed since the end of Andy's story, and I've talked the boys into sharing their diaries with you as a means of filling you in on the events in their lives. I may add a bit from time to time, but for the most part I'm just going to let the kids themselves tell you what happened. Hopefully you'll get a better feel for how they felt about the events they want to talk about. And that's what this story is all about anyway, feelings, emotions, love, the stuff that should mak

    Chapter 11

Rick just needs to remember who signs his paycheck. If he can't respect his boss, he can find one that he can respect (and good riddance). But I really think Rick is better than that.

    Chapter 11

"As Marc went upstairs, Sawyer went out, clapped his hands and got everyone's attention. Then he said, Okay, folks, you've shown your respect for Aunt May. Now it's time to show your respect for Marc and close this party down. Thank you very much for coming. You can show yourselves out." (Does he add: and take your leftovers with you?) Sorry, Libby, I just love writing other authors' stories. 🥰 😇 😄 Thank you for such chapter of reconciliation and love. Now, we'll see if I even came close to reality. 😏
